"Samuel, where are you going?"

Lillian called out to Samuel. It seemed that Samuel did not hear it or spared no time to answer because

he was too hurried. In short, he just went out without more words.

When Nicole got up, Samuel was already gone.

Pregnancy made her a little lazy.

After she got up, she lingered in the bed for a while before she went downstairs. She saw Lillian and

the servants rushing to clean the room.

"Lillian, just sit there. They are paid. Do you want them to resign?"

Nicole was in a good mood and could not help but tease Lillian.

Hearing this, Lillian felt a little embarrassed.

"I just can't sit here and do nothing. Samuel and you are so kind to Petty and me. If I don't do anything,

I always feel like I am a good-for-nothing. I..."

"What are you talking about? How could you be a good-for-nothing? You are our elder. Now what you

should do is to enjoy yourself. Don't mind these chores. The Green family has servants. Don't tire

yourself out, or Petty will be distressed and we will also be sad. Oh right, is Petty up? I woke up late

today."

Hearing Nicole's words, Lillian hurriedly said, "Petty is a little sleepy and isn't up yet. By the way,

Samuel got up early in the morning and made breakfast for you. I'm warming it up, and I'll fetch it now."

As she spoke, Lillian wanted to stand up, but was stopped by Nicole.

"Wendy, bring over the food that Mr. Green has prepared."

"Alright, Mrs. Green."

Wendy nodded and went to fetch the food.

Nicole couldn't help but ask, "Has Samuel eaten yet?"

"No, he received a phone call just as he finished cooking for you. Then he hurriedly went out and even

had no time to wear a coat."

Nicole paused for a while.

"Did he say anything?"

"No, he left with no words."

Nicole was a little worried and quickly dialed Samuel's number.

"What happened? I heard that you left early in the morning?"

Where Samuel was now was a little noisy. When he heard Nicole's phone call, he said, "Wait a

moment." Then, he found a quiet place to continue the chat.

"Are you still there?"

"Yes!"

Nicole replied as she ate her breakfast.

Samuel looked at his watch. It was already nine o'clock.

"You just woke up?"

"Yeah, I'm a little lazy today."

Nicole didn't hide that from him.

Samuel sighed and whispered, "You should eat first. I'll tell you later."

"What exactly happened?"

Nicole was a little anxious.

"Have your breakfast, and I'll tell you after you finish your meal. Take your time."

Seeing that Samuel insisted on that, Nicole did not ask more. She directly put the phone aside and

concentrated on eating.

Looking at the way they got along, Lillian felt a bit touched.

Nicole did not pay attention to Lillian. After finishing her meal, she drank another bowl of soup and

burped.

When he heard her burp, Samuel smiled, "Are you full?"

"Yes, I can't take another bite. Can you tell me now?"

Nicole felt that Samuel was really troublesome. He didn't tell her the piece of message until she

finished the meal.

Samuel's good mood immediately dissipated.

"It's nothing serious. Jacob had a car accident. He's in the hospital for a rescue now. I'm still waiting."

"A car accident? Is it serious? Why did the car accident happen? Didn't he drink in our cellar? You also

prepared a guest room for him. When did he leave?"

Nicole's series of questions made Samuel sigh again.

"I don't know when he left. I just finished cooking for you and then received a call from the hospital. He

was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. I called Olivia and sent a message, but she didn't reply, nor

did she come. It's been two hours. Jacob is seriously injured this time."

As Samuel whispered, Nicole felt uncomfortable as if something was blocking in her chest. She

suddenly understood why Samuel insisted that she finish her meal and then talk about this matter.

"Perhaps Olivia's phone's dead, so she didn't see the phone call and the message? They've been such

a nice couple. How could she not go to see Jacob?"

As Nicole spoke, Samuel did not refute. However, Nicole could feel that Samuel did not believe in such

a coincidence.

Actually, she wouldn't believe it, either.

"I see. Stay there with Jacob. I'll take a look at Olivia."

"Let Ernesto follow you."

"OK."

Nicole hung up and felt a headache.

Olivia shouldn't break up with Jacob at this time, right?

Thinking of this possibility, Nicole felt a little worried.

She pushed the chair and stood up.

"Are you going out?"

Hearing the content of the phone call, Lillian couldn't help but ask when she saw Nicole acting like this.

Nicole nodded.

"Yes, I'm going out. Lillian, if you do not have things to deal with, you can go to your room and have a

rest. You can also ask Petty to make an appointment with a doctor to see if there's anything wrong with

your body. Samuel and I will be busy recently, so we probably won't have much time to check on you."

Nicole was afraid that Lillian would not feel at home, so she hurriedly said this.

Lillian shook her head, "I'm an old woman. I can get by with whatever I've given. I don't want to be your

burden."

"What do you mean burden? Don't demean yourself like that. It will be fine. With all the advanced

technology today, you will be better soon."

Nicole patted Lillian on the shoulder. She felt that it was time to leave. So she went back to the room to

change her clothes and spruced herself up before coming out.

Ernesto may have received Samuel's instruction and hurriedly drove over when he saw Nicole.

"Mrs. Green, where are we going?"

"Go there."

The Kent's was originally in Land City. However, the Kent's no longer existed in Land City, due to Elvis.

Jacob rented a house for Olivia and her family members in the Seapolis City. Booth's legs were still in

recovery. Now that Harper had suffered a brain injury, Olivia must feel greatly pressured.

The address was from Samuel.

Looking at the address on her phone, Nicole felt more and more distressed.

Olivia was doughty, but she had to borrow money from Jacob to save Booth's legs. It was already

enough to make her feel dismal. Now that Harper got injured, she could more or less guess the crux of

the problem between Olivia and Jacob.

Nicole leaned back in her chair and sighed softly.

Olivia was a proud and stubborn girl. Now that she was dragged down by her family, she would feel

inferior in front of Jacob. However, Olivia shouldn't break up with Jacob for this reason, right?

As such an upright man, something must have happened. Otherwise he wouldn't get that drunk

yesterday.

Nicole rubbed her temples. Soon the car arrived at Olivia's rental apartment.

"Mrs. Green, we're here. I'll go in and take a look."

"Just wait outside. I will go in."

Nicole stopped Ernesto, got out of the car alone, and directly walked in.

There were people living here, but Nicole couldn't hear anything when she came in. She couldn't help

but frown.

Did Olivia cancel the lease?

"Olivia?"

Nicole gave a tentative shout, and Booth's voice came from inside.

"Nicole, is that you?"

"Booth, it's me."

Nicole followed the voice and walked into a room. She saw Booth lying on the bed with a plaster cast

on his feet and a book in his hands.

She glanced at the book. It was about finance.

"You came alone?"

Nicole looked around and didn't see anyone else. She then wanted to pour a glass of water for Booth,

only to find that the kettle was empty.

Booth smiled awkwardly and said, "Nothing. I'm not thirsty."

"I'll put the kettle on."

Nicole boiled a pot of hot water for Booth. Booth's face was a little red and he seemed to be

uncomfortable. She hurriedly asked, "Is there anything wrong with you? Why did you leave the

hospital? Is your leg completely healed? Or..."

"Nicole, I'm fine. Are you coming here for my sister? She took my father to the hospital. When she'll be

back is not clear."

Booth hurriedly said.

Seeing him like this, Nicole felt puzzled, "You don't like my coming here?"

"No, Nicole. Don't think too much. I don't mean that."

"Then you..."

"I..."

Booth's face turned even redder. However, Nicole seemed to be at a loss, which made him afraid that

Nicole would misunderstand again. Finally, he gritted his teeth and said, "I'm fine. I just want to go to

the bathroom. Nicole, if you are here, I will be shy."

Nicole's face flushed.

She never thought that it would be this problem.

"So, do you need a hand?"

As she spoke, Nicole was about to help Booth, but saw a trace of loneliness and embarrassment on

Booth's face.

"Nicole, I can't go to the bathroom right now. Can you give me the urinal?"

Nicole was slightly stunned.

How could this be?

"If I don't come, how will you do?"

Nicole knew that she shouldn't ask, but she had no choice but to ask.

"Hold it."

Booth smiled bitterly, but it was heartbreaking.

Nicole still remembered Booth's sunny smile back then, but now he seemed to be covered by a layer of

dust. She could no longer see any trace of the sunny boy in Booth now.

She felt somewhat distressed for no reason.

This was all because of her!

"I'll get you a nurse."

Nicole handed the urinal to Booth and turned around.

"Thank you." Booth whispered, "I can do it myself, and my sister said we can't cause you any trouble."

"What kind of trouble is this? Your legs were crippled because of me. I should take care of you."

Hearing Nicole's words, Booth shook his head.

"Nicole, now it's impossible to tell if Brian had someone break my legs because of you or because of

Elvis. Brian is nowhere to find. Don't blame yourself. I'm fine. Just drinking less water is okay."

"Nonsense! What do you mean drinking less water? How can a person lack water?"

Nicole noticed that Booth had finished, so she turned around and poured his piss out.

When she returned, Booth was a little embarrassed, but he gave her an address.

"My sister should be here by now. Nicole, are you here for my sister and Jacob?"

Nicole really wanted to tell Booth that Jacob suffered a car accident and it was very serious. But she

still hesitated when she met Booth's beautiful eyes.

The Kents were already unfortunate enough, so she had better get a clear picture of the situation

first.
