Upon hearing Samuel’s suggestion, Jacob was startled.
He wondered if that was true.
Was he protecting Julissa?
Samuel didn’t care what Jacob was thinking. He continued, “Do you know Olivia has fallen off the
wire?”
“Yes, I do. But I just got to know it. Mrs. Green told me so. Mr. Green, I didn’t know about this matter
before at all.”
Upon hearing that, Samuel choked up.
Heaving a sigh, he said, “Your wife fell off the wire. You even didn’t know such a serious matter. Do you
truly believe you love her?”
“Mr. Green, I truly love Olivia. You should know it. I can do anything for her.”
“It was true in the past. Think about yourself now. Olivia fell off the wire and was sent to the hospital.
Her assistant called you but Julissa answered the phone. However, you said you’ve just known this
matter. It happened almost a month ago but you didn’t know it until just now. Do you still think you love
her? Besides, as soon as the incident happened, the crew member in charge of the wire quit his job.
The wire was missing as well. Do you think it was a coincidence?”
While listening to Samuel, Jacob’s eyes were darkened. Emotions surged in them, and he clenched his
hands tightly.
He said, “Mr. Green, I felt quite stressed because of the baby. I need to hide it from Olivia and I need to
care about Julissa’s belly. I don’t have the energy to do everything perfectly.”
“Who has caused this situation? Why did you make a baby behind Olivia’s back? Just because of your
desire? If you truly want a child, and you had already known that Olivia couldn’t become a mother, then
why did you have to marry her?”
Biting his bottom lip, Jacob whispered, “I didn’t have such a strong desire to have a baby before.
However, in the recent two years, Olivia has been concentrating on her career. Whenever I got home, I
could only face the loneliness and coldness at home. Then I was wondering if having a baby could
make me less lonely. Olivia is quite stunning on the screen. She also has a lot of fans, so she won’t feel
lonely at all. I’m different, and I’m alone. I’m a married man, but whenever I’m at home alone and
looking at the empty house, I doubt if I’m truly married. I just hope a child would make my house more
lively. She likes her job, and I support her. She can’t give birth, and I don’t force her. What have I done
wrong?”
Samuel had already lost the mood to argue with him.
So far, Jacob still hadn’t realized what he had done wrong. He even started complaining that Olivia
didn’t care about their home.

and Olivia would speak to Jacob.

She can’t give birth. I just found another woman to do it.”
“But that baby isn’t hers, and you didn’t ask her for her opinion.”
Samuel also raised his voice.
“Jacob, think about it. If you couldn’t give birth and Olivia used her egg and bought a stranger’s sperm
from the sperm bank to create a tube test baby, would you accept it? Could you accept it? Would that
be your own baby?”
Jacob suddenly muted.
He asked if he could accept it.

How could he accept it?
It was only Olivia’s baby, not his.
Why would he raise another man’s baby as his own?

“Mr. Green, I was afraid she wouldn’t agree, and I guess probably she would like the baby after it’s

“If she had a baby with another man, brought it to you, and asked you to be the baby’s father, would

a message to Olivia, telling her you got drunk and asking her to pick you up. In the end, Olivia saw you

Samuel’s advice startled Jacob.
