It was Samuel!
Even if Nicole suspected him, she didn't expect to see Samuel bringing a woman to a bar so soon.
Her heart ached like it was torn apart.
Nicole quietly left the stage and quickly went to the bathroom.
She slapped her face with water. The water was chill and she was heartbroken.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Nicole chuckled. But her tears oozed out from her eyes.
Nicole once considered her marriage and relationship indestructible. However, they were actually so
fragile during her pregnancy.
It was as if she was defeated overnight. But also it was as if she had grown up overnight.
Nicole didn't know how long she had stayed in the bathroom. She didn't become sober until Olivia
called her.
It really was like a dream. As she woke up, it was time for her to face the reality.
Nicole took a deep breath, patted her face, and answered Olivia's call.
"Hello?"
"Where have you been? Why did you leave me on the stage? You don't even know how nervous I was
just now. Nicole, where are you?"
Olivia complained in a sweet voice, which could tell that she was in a good mood.
Maybe it was because Olivia's performance got a big round of applause.
Nicole was frustrated. But she didn't want to influence Olivia. She forced herself to smile and said, "I
was uncomfortable. I'm in the bathroom. Could you come over and help me to the hospital?"
She knew that Olivia devoted to singing just now, so she might not see Samuel. But if she stayed, she
would encounter him.
Olivia was a person with a bad temper. Nicole didn't know what Olivia could do if she knew that Samuel
was with a woman. So she decided to leave with Olivia.
She was not a young girl anymore.
She could handle her own things.
When Olivia heard that Nicole was uncomfortable, she became worried and hurriedly ran towards the
bathroom.
"Nicole, are you alright? Are you feeling uncomfortable because of me? Look at me. I'm really careless.
I always let you worry about me."
Olivia was guilty.
Nicole felt a bit warm.
"No. Not your fault. Don't be too nervous."
Nicole patted her shoulder and said tiredly, "I want to go back to the hotel. Olivia, shall we go now?"
"Of course! You're feeling uncomfortable. How can I ask you to stay? If Samuel knows, he would
definitely tear me apart."
Olivia muttered. Nicole knew that she didn't see Samuel with a woman.
Nicole heaved a sigh.
Then she followed Olivia and left the bar.
When Samuel first came in, he did not pay attention to Olivia who was on the stage. But when the song
was finished and everyone cheered, he raised his head. When he saw Olivia, he was stunned.
Samuel wondered, 'Why was she here?'
Then Samuel searched around. But he didn't see Nicole. Therefore, he heaved a sigh of relief.
The woman beside him observed his actions and smiled charmingly, "What happened? Did you see
your wife?"
As she spoke, her fingers touched Samuel's shoulder lightly, and her hot breath brushed his earlobe.
Usually men would definitely not be able to resist her teasing!
The woman was very confident. But the next second, her finger was almost broken by Samuel.
"Oh my god, Mr. Green, it hurts!"
Though the woman didn't scream, her face turned pale.
Samuel looked at her coldly and said, "Don't push your luck, Alisa. The thing last night is not settled
yet."
"Settle what? I don't know."
Although Alisa was very painful, she continued to tease him with her sweet voice.
She did not believe that there were still men in this world that she, Alisa, could not conquer.
Samuel looked at her indifferently, and broke Alisa's finger off with more strength.
Alisa screamed.
She immediately broke out into a cold sweat.
Her little finger was broken!
Alisa couldn't help trembling, and became ruthless.
"Samuel, how dare you hurt me? I'm afraid you'll never know what you want to know."
"I don't care."
Samuel's voice was icy.
Alisa finally realized who she had provoked and asked, "What do you mean? Don't you want to know
what happened?"
"Right now, you're the only one who knows since I don't know. The only way to keep everyone from
knowing is to shut your mouth up. Do you know what kind of person can keep a secret?"
Samuel sneered like Satan. Alisa was scared and ran away.
But before she could run out of the bar, she was stopped by two men.
"Get out of my way!"
Alisa struggled, but the two men directly covered her mouth and took her away.
Samuel walked out of the bar and arrived at the back alley.
Alisa looked at Samuel and cried out in horror.
Samuel motioned the man.
The man dropped his hands from Alisa's mouth.
Alisa asked nervously, "Why? You were with a good attitude yesterday. You wanted to know the whole
thing eagerly."
"Yes, I really wanted to know yesterday. But you made a big mistake."
Samuel showed a poker face. Even the temperature lowered. Alisa couldn't help trembling.
"What mistake?"
"You shouldn't left a mark on me, and you shouldn't try to seduce me. Alisa, you made my wife
misunderstand me. She is very angry."
Samuel's words stunned Alisa.
"That's it? You want to kill me just because of that? Samuel, don't you men like cheating on wives and
having much fun outside?"
"I only need my wife. I can't bear anyone hurting her. Yesterday, I really wanted to know what
happened. But now I think nothing is more important than my wife's happiness. So, if what you know
may make her upset, it would be better to keep this thing as a secret forever."
Then Samuel turned around and left.
Alisa was crying for help, but Samuel felt nothing.
Not long after, the voice was lowered and eventually it was completely silent.
"Throw it into the sea."
Samuel said coldly without any discomfort.
He was never a good man.
After Nicole returned to the hotel, she quickly went back to her room and went to bed with the excuse
of being uncomfortable.
The bed was tidy but cold.
The scene that Nicole saw not long ago kept appearing in her mind.
That woman was so enchanting, so beautiful, and even had a charm that she did not possess.
When did Samuel become fond of this type of woman?
Nicole did not know, but she felt something on her face.
She touched her face. Tears streamed down her cheeks.
She smiled bitterly.
'Actually, I was so fragile that I cried.' She thought.
Nicole buried herself in the pillow and cried silently.
She was tired from crying, huddled under the quilt and fell asleep.
Nicole didn't know how long she slept. She felt that someone had pulled her blanket away and touched
her forehead. She heard some sound but didn't know what the person said. However, she knew that
the person was anxious.
Nicole was very tired and sleepy. She didn't want to wake up, so she turned around and went back to
sleep.
Samuel was almost frightened.
Nicole had a fever.
It was a high fever.
"Nicole, wake up. Let me take you to the hospital."
The word "hospital" stimulated Nicole's nerves.
Nicole was reminded of her child.
When she saw Samuel and Alisa together, she didn't thought of the child yet. But the word 'hospital'
reminded her of her baby. Thinking of this, she couldn't help crying.
"I'm not going! I'm not going to the hospital! I'm not going!"
Even though she was depressed because of the high fever, at this moment, Nicole seemed to be filled
with strength. She struggled with all her efforts. When she could not struggle away, she stretched out
her finger and scratched towards the other person.
Samuel felt a little painful.
He was caught off guard and was scratched by Nicole.
A scar appeared on his handsome face.
Samuel never thought that Nicole, who had always been elegant, could act rudely.
He dodged Nicole's hands and spoke gently, "Alright, we are not going to the hospital. We won't go. I'll
take you to a bath."
Knowing that they were not going to the hospital, Nicole finally stopped hitting him. But she said with
grievance like a child, "I don't want to take a bath."
"Then shall we go to eat?"
"No!"
"Drink water?"
"No."
She was like a cranky child. No matter what Samuel said, she would reject.
Samuel looked at Nicole with helplessness and sadness, and asked, "Did you see me with the other
woman?"
Nicole is not an unreasonable woman. There must be a reason for her behaviors. Samuel remembered
the lipstick mark on the collar of his shirt yesterday. Recalling Nicole's actions last night, he realized
that Nicole seemed to have misunderstood him.
Hearing Samuel's question, Nicole immediately became furious.
"Samuel, get out of here! Fuck off! I don't share a man with other women. That makes me feel
disgusted, you know? How could you do this? If I have done something wrong, or if you don't love me
anymore, just tell me. I will leave. You shouldn't embarrass me. You shouldn't trample on our
relationship. Do you know? Love is beautiful. And even if love is gone one day, I hope we can have a
good ending. I don't want to be a cheated fool."
"I didn't do it. There has always been no one but you. I would never betray you and our love."
Samuel took on a serious tone. His eyes were filled with deep affection. But unfortunately, Nicole, who
was currently muddled by the fever, felt nothing.
"I won't listen to you! You're lying to me again. Once you cheated, you will always cheat on me.
Samuel, we're done! I want to divorce you! Divorce!"
When Nicole said the word 'divorce', her heart ached. Samuel's face turned pale.
"Don't even think about it."
Samuel said fiercely. Then he quickly picked up Nicole, opened the door and straightly walked outside
regardless of her scratching and hitting.
