"Any other clues?"

Samuel asked when looking at the information in his hand.

"That's all we've got now," Ernesto whispered.

"I want to know who is behind Eleanore and who she contacted after she left the crew."

"Yes, Sir."

Then Ernesto went away.

Nicole was still changing the dressing inside. Samuel wanted to go in, only to find that the room had

been locked.

There were only Ashley and Nicole inside. It was probably because Nicole feared that Samuel would

feel uncomfortable and deliberately did this.

Samuel sighed slightly with a more serious expression.

Whoever wanted to hurt Nicole was unforgivable now!

In the room, Ashley cut off Nicole's clothes, finding the wounds inside. She sighed, "What kind of luck

do you have? It seems all the people bear grudges on you everywhere you go."

"I don't know either. I guess I'm too pretty. They are jealous of me."

Nicole smiled and teased, but she suddenly almost jumped up to exclaim.

"What a smart mouth! Look at your injuries. Why don't you keep your nose clean?"

Ashley glanced at her and said calmly. But she did it more gently.

Nicole naturally knew that Ashley got more bark than bite. She couldn't help but smile, "Dr. Ashley,

when will I recover?"

"Your bones have been hurt. Are you still expecting to leave the hospital in a few days? Stay well, and

don't expect to leave the hospital for a month."

Ashley looked at the wounds on Nicole's body seriously.

"Don't you think about dealing with the burn on your body?"

Ashley did not know much about the stuff between Nicole and Samuel. She did not gossip, but the burn

had obviously been on Nicole's body for years.

She was just curious about what happened on earth. Why such a beautiful woman like Nicole got

injured all over?

Nicole was slightly stunned.

If Ashley hadn't mentioned it, she would have forgotten about the burn on her body.

"Where's the burn? Isn't it a pretty tattoo?"

Nicole smiled.

"Do you think I'm blind? Don't talk if you don't want to. Stop bullshit. I find your tattoo has some allergic

reaction, but your burns can't be covered. I know a good dermatologist. If you want, I can help you

contact the doctor. Just take advantage of this hospitalization opportunity to deal with all the injuries on

your body. As a woman in your twenties, you make your body so old. Doesn’t Samuel feel disgusted?"

"How dare he!"

Nicole was firm.

The two chatted for a while as Ashley had treated the wound.

"Fine. I will leave you alone. I guess Samuel would like to kick the door open now. I'm gone. Call me

anytime."

"OK."

Nicole nodded, with her back drenching in cold sweat.

It really hurt!

She would definitely not let Melissa off!

When Ashley went out, she saw Samuel shuffling through a cigarette in his hand. He seemed very

anxious and impatient. He hurriedly came to her when he saw Ashley out.

"Why did you close the door?"

"Your wife's injuries are serious. She's afraid of the wind. I also feared that you are too careless when

you go inside, so I locked the door. Don't worry. I didn't bully her."

After that, Ashley paused for a moment and continued, "The tattoo on her body is a little infected. If

possible, she'd better take a skin grafting operation."

Samuel was suddenly shocked.

"Does it hurt?"

"What?"

"I mean does that skin grafting surgery hurt?"

Ashley looked at him and replied coldly.

"It's definitely not as painful as the burn on her back then."

Hearing those words, Samuel turned a little pale.

"I see. Go find a reliable doctor."

"Your wife doesn't seem to want to take it."

"I'll persuade her."

After Samuel finished, Ashley left.

She had told the truth. Then it was up to them to decide.

When Samuel entered the room, Nicole lay there motionlessly.

He walked over gently and discovered that Nicole was already asleep.

She did not sleep very well, with her brows tightly knitted and her hands pulling the sheets. Her

knuckles were slightly pale, and even her face was somewhat frighteningly pale.

Samuel gently lifted the blanket, and what he saw was Nicole's scarred back.

Besides the wounds, the tattoo on her body was indeed a little red.

Was it because the stimulation of the drug that Nicole got allergic?

Samuel did not know. But when he saw the burns hidden under the tattoo, all the memories appeared

in his mind like a movie.

Was Nicole lucky or unlucky to fall in love with him in her life?

Actually, Samuel knew that Nicole might be better off than now if he let her go.

Not long ago, when Nicole wanted to divorced, Samuel also thought about this.

The stuff of the Green family was too complicated, so was Samuel's identity. There were too many

schemes surrounding him, and Nicole couldn't have a peaceful and stable life.

Perhaps if he let go of her, she would marry an ordinary man, who needn't be too outstanding but could

bring Nicole peace and happiness. Perhaps this was what Nicole wanted the most.

But when he thought of letting her go, Samuel's heart got so hurt.

He couldn't bear that!

Even if he got Nicole involved into his swamp, he was still reluctant to let her go.

Because she was his life!

If Nicole was gone, he didn't know what the meaning of his life was.

Samuel tucked Nicole in. She was still woken up though he behaved gently.

"Did I hurt you?"

Samuel blamed himself.

Nicole shook her head, feeling a little thirsty.

"I want to drink some water."

"I'll get it for you."

Samuel stood up to pour a cup of warm water for Nicole. He helped her up. Then she leaned against

his shoulder and Samuel brought the water to her lips.

Nicole took a sip and didn't drink any more.

Samuel placed the cup on the table and wanted to help Nicole lie down, but she stopped him.

"I want to sit for a while."

"Can you?"

"I'm OK."

Nicole slowly moved her butt. Although her movements were very light, she still got painful in cold

sweat.

Given that, Samuel's heart was almost broken.

"Nicole, I'm sorry."

Nicole waved her hand and looked at the man in front of her. She smiled and said, "Don't say sorry to

me. You've been talking too much recently. Every time I got injured, you said sorry. But it really has

nothing to do with you. It's impossible for you to protect me all the time, and it's impossible for your

opponent to be unable to find the chance all the time. As a saying goes, 'The concern of the thief is

worse than the theft itself.' I'm being shadowed, so it's useless to be on guard."

Hearing that, Samuel felt very uncomfortable.

"I miss my children."

Nicole spoke her mind.

She really missed the children, but she couldn't meet them because of her injury. This was so terrible.

Samuel whispered, "I'll get them come to see you."

"Don't. They will worry if they see me in injury. Especially for Lucas, now he has a different identity and

there are many rules there. If he knew about this and ran over here recklessly, his future would be

over."

When Nicole talked about the children, her eyes were filled with joy, holiness, and gentleness.

Looking at her, Samuel suddenly felt that time was peaceful and beautiful.

But after thinking twice, Samuel realized there were no many quiet years. It was just that someone

carried the burden for him.

In his marriage, Nicole had always been the one who carried the burden.

Samuel was even more uncomfortable.

"These days you'd better had light meals. When you get better, I'll give you some others."

Nicole wanted to laugh.

Was she a foodie?

She was not Zoe, who was meat-loving.

"Fine."

However, Nicole did not say anything. She glanced at Samuel and smiled, "How is Braden?"

"It's still on query. I think there will be news tomorrow."

Seeing that Nicole didn't intend to lie down, Samuel picked up an orange randomly and peeled it.

Nicole knew that it was a little difficult to find evidence of Braden's plagiarism, but she wasn't in a hurry.

More haste, less speed. She enjoyed the process.

"What about Melissa?"

"She is missing and has been kidnapped. My guards are handling this. They will take over soon. You

want to kill her or cut her into pieces. It's all up to you."

Samuel looked a little ruthless.

However, Nicole shook her head and said, "No, it's not worth getting a lawsuit for such a woman, but I

won't spare her easily. I will get these three whips back bit by bit."

"Do you have a plan?"

Samuel couldn't help but ask when he saw the light in Nicole's eyes.

Now Nicole was like a fox, but he liked her much more.

Nicole shook her head, "I haven't thought about it yet, but lock her up first. Let her taste the feeling of

being abandoned and kidnapped."

"OK."

Samuel had no objection to her words.

As he spoke, an orange had been peeled.

Nicole looked at the orange and frowned slightly.

"I didn't say I wanted to eat."

"It's vitamin and good for your health."

Since Samuel had said that, Nicole naturally couldn't refuse. She could only take it over to eat.

The orange was sweet and tasted good.

Nicole ate up an orange for the first time.

"Samuel."

"Well?"

"I feel uncomfortable."

Nicole pouted like a child who had been wronged.

Samuel immediately felt tortured.

"What can I do for you?"

"Let me take a bite."

Nicole asked unreasonably.

She thought that Samuel would refuse, but he directly rolled up his sleeves and showed his arms to

her.

"Come on."

Nicole indeed took a bite, but Samuel showed no expression, as if it wasn't him being bit.
