Rufus did not want Wendy to live in his house, because of the children and Brian and he himself
disliked her.
Wendy came to discuss with him was certainly that Brian refused him, or she would not ask his advice.
"No, Rufus, I can explain that. I......"
Wendy did not expect that her words would cause Rufus’ dissatisfaction.
"Well, explain it; I want to hear your explanation. You can't blame others and you can’t take the credit
for what you haven’t done."
Rufus looked up at Wendy sharply. He knew that Wendy had done, but he never mentioned it, and
today he would like to hear her explanation.
"Rufus..."
Wendy looked at Rufus in daze. Hearing what Rufus said, she knew that the Bennet family had known
what she had done.
"Yes, my father told me. Wendy, I will give you a chance to explain everything you've been doing lately.
Do you think it is right?"
Rufus continued and he wanted to get to know why she became so vulgar.
"I... Rufus, Brian did come back, and I did advise him. I don't understand why you and Grandpa have
questions. At the beginning I said I would let you take care of the children, but now I have changed my
mind. I want to be close to them and raise them myself. If Brian wants the children back, I prefer not to
have child for the sake of the two children."
When Wendy said that, she was unsure, because she did not know why the Bennet family was not
satisfied, and did not know what she had done wrong.
Now she has been forced to corner. She admitted that she was anxious and did things in a hurry, but
she was not that sinister. Why did the Bennet family hate her?
"I know you advised him. Grandpa, Stella and Kevin had advised him for a long time, but he never had
been back. Do you understand what I mean? He doesn't listen to anyone, including you."
Rufus had put the words straight forward, but he did not say that Brian came back because of Winnie.
He believed that Wendy could understand.
“It wasn't because of me. Whose was it? Whose advice was it?”
Wendy finally understood the reason for Felix's temper with her. All people did not believe that it was
her credit.
"I don't know. Maybe he figured it out on his own. Maybe the kids played a part in it. Wendy, even if it is
your credit, you should not take credit from Grandpa.
"He knows everything, and he will know that it if it was your credit. When he knows it, there will be
rewards and punishments. Only when he rewards you, can you be sure that it is your credit. No matter
in any matter, you should keep a low prodocument and act after thinking."
Rufus warned Wendy, intending to let her not play tricks with grandpa.
Rufus paused for a while before he continued.
“As for the children, you said you have changed your mind, but who can believe that you would not
change your mind again if you have the children. If you kick the children out after you get married with
Brian, what should we do? What should the children do?”
Rufus did not trust Wendy after what had happened. He did not feel at ease to let her have the
children, only Winnie was good to them.
"You don't trust me?"
Wendy was sad that Rufus still did not believe her.
"Think about whether you mean it before you ask me. Do you see the children as tools to keep Brian,
or do you really like them and see them as your own children? Can you do that?"
Outsiders might be moved by Wendy's statement, but she could not cheat Rufus, because there was
love to the children to her erratic eyes.
"I..."
Wendy wanted to defend, but Rufus got up.
"Wendy, the children will stay with me for a few days on holiday. They still can't accept you now, so
don't move in."
With that, Rufus walked away. He felt that Wendy could not listen to what he said and did not admit that
she was wrong. She was like Penny.
Wendy was rejected again and was scolded.
She drove away in low spirits, wondering what she had done wrong all the way. She tried to win her
relationship, but it was getting worse.
The Bennet family including Brian hated her now. Would she be a qualified daughter-in-law by doing
nothing?
Wendy was confused.
When Brian came to Winwin's home with two children, their children changed their minds.
"Daddy, Mommy is still at work. Can we surprise her by cooking her dinner?"
Megan came up with this idea.
"Yes, I agree."
Luke said.
"But what if Mommy eats out? We will work for nothing."
Brian asked two children. If Winnie came back, it would be a surprise.
"I'll call Mommy and ask."
Megan was to find a mobile phone, Brian reminded her.
"Mind your words and don’t slip away the surprise."
"I know, Daddy, your daughter is the cleverest."
Megan said mischievously. She was as confident as Winnie. And the way she walked was pleasing to
watch.
Looking at her small figure, inadvertently Brian gave a happy smile.
He had grown more and more fond of the children, and was more and more inseparable from them. If
his grandfather really forced Winnie to leave, and if the two children had to follow her, Brian would feel
like his world was an empty shell.
Winnie was to come back later, so they got to work.
They did not know how to cook, but they could find a recipe online.
Finally they made four dishes and a soup.
The table was set and they were waiting for Winnie to come home.
Winnie was really tired today. She did not want to cook by herself after work. Downstairs she bought
instant noodles.
Opening the door, Winnie smelled the fragrance before she changed her shoes. She was confused
about it
After taking off her shoes, she walked inside and saw food placed on the table.
Four dishes, one soup, four sets of cutlery, four bowls of rice.
Winnie was surprised. She did not know who cooked the dinner, it seemed that there were more than
one person.
She looked around, but she found no one.
"Mommy..."
The two children ran out together, followed by Brian with a smile.
Winnie was indeed surprised. Watching they appeared at the same time, and there was a meal, she
felt warm.
"Did you cook the food?”
Winnie asked with a warm smile on her face.
"Daddy made it. My brother and I helped. You have the Love Supper."
Megan said with a clear and bright voice. She was satisfied when she found Mommy was surprised.
"I'm so touched that you can help with the cooking."
Winnie said and hugged the two children in her arms.
"Wash your hands and eat, or the food will be cold."
Brian said and pulled apart two children hugging Winnie. He was jealous of the children, he wished that
it was him to hug Winnie.
"Wash hands and eat."
Winnie stood up straight and went to the bathroom. She did not dare to look at Brian.
As long as she saw love in Brian’s eyes, she would break down.
It was like a family of four living their life. The one who got off work first picked up the kids and then
cooked and worked for the other one to come home for dinner.
It was the simplest happiness, which belonged to ordinary people and she had been hoping for it, but it
had not come true. So Winnie prayed that if they met in the next life, Brian must be an ordinary person.
After washing hands, she came out and looked at Brian.
"Thank you for cooking the dinner."
She said to Brian.
"It is the first time I cooked. I don't know whether it tastes good or not. Have a taste and give me some
advice, I will try to make it perfect next time."
Brian's tone was gentle and he was wearing a smile.
He liked this kind of life too, but he could do nothing to have it.
Winnie smiled faintly and began to taste.
She was surprised and moved to taste them. She felt so warm eating the soup.
"All in all, it's good, the taste is a bit too heavy. But it is good enough since it is your first time to cook.
Kids, give applause to Daddy, so that he can make it better next time."
Winnie said happily so that the children could have a feeling of home.
Megan and Luke were applauding and cheering.
"Daddy, Mommy said you are good."
"Daddy is the best"
The two children couldn't help laughing and clapping together when they praised Brian.
"As long as you want to eat it, I will cook for you when I am available."
