Winnie had told Finn before that she could not drink coffee, but she did not expect that Finn would
remember that.
She had told Brian before, but Brian handed her a cup of coffee last night.
Brian’s actions had revealed his heart, so why be hypocritical to please her?
"The kids are having so much fun."
Finn put on a smile, he was happy watching the kids play. He liked to see Winnie's smile, her dimples
were sweet and eye-catching.
"Well, kids are so easy to be satisfied and easy to get along with. There's none of the deception, but
only playfulness."
"It's so nice, if only people had parents with them all the time and never grew up."
Winnie lamented that such a dream could not come true for her, because her parents had died,
because she had grown up and hadn't met a man who could spoil her as a child. So she was realistic,
and she still became one of the many errant people.
"You're only allowed to think about it for a second, or I'll send you a pair of handcuffs."
"It's not that good, if that's the case, there will be only kids in the world."
Compared to Winnie, Finn lived in reality. He wanted his child to live the way Winnie wanted, the only
pity was that his wife had died.
"I know you're a cop, but there's no law that says thinking too much will have handcuffs."
Winnie laughed as innocently as a child.
Winnie's smile was the most beautiful scenery for Finn, more beautiful than any sea and famous rivers.
He hoped that Winnie could smile without bitterness in the future.
They played until dinnertime and ate dinner together before heading home.
It was still Finn who drove and went to the suburbs to drop off the kids first.
As the car arrived at the suburbs, Brian stood at the gate and waited. The car stopped and the
headlights were turned off. But by the light of the street lamp, Brian still saw that the person driving was
Finn.
Finn saw Brian watching him and also saw his frown of dissatisfaction. He didn't get out of the car, but
looked at Brian and nodded as a greeting.
Winnie walked over to Brian holding the two kids' hands.
"You must have been worried, the kids are safe and nothing unpleasant has happened."
"They've had dinner, so when they get back, let them take a shower and sleep after reading books."
"Bye, Megan, Luke, be good."
Winnie only took a look at Brian while she was speaking, for fear she got a complex mood.
Brian didn't say a word but watched Winnie get in the car and leave with a man. Brian was panic and
sad, afraid that Winnie left his world.
Winnie and Finn left, but Finn could see Brian standing there in the rearview mirror. His figure didn't
disappear until after the bend had turned.
Brian's frown, his dissatisfaction, the jealousy in his eyes and the figure he was looking at them all
explained that he loved Winnie deeply.
"Take me to the airport."
Winnie's words pulled back Finn's thoughts.
"To the airport? Leaving this late?"
Finn was surprised, if he knew Winnie was leaving tonight, he wouldn't have let the kids play so late.
"If I don't leave today, I'll have to miss class tomorrow. I booked the plane ticket a long time ago, but I'm
rushed and can't send Finella back first."
Winnie was apologetic, seeing how tired Finella looked.
But if she sent Finella back, the plane would have been off.
"It's okay, we can send you to the airport first."
Finella opened his mouth.
"Sorry, Finella, I am in a hurry to catch a flight, or I would have sent you home first."
Winnie blamed herself. If she had been earlier, Finella would not be so tired.
"I am fine, I'm not sleepy or tired. I'm happy to spend more time with you."
"I wish you'd come back sooner and we'd still play together."
Finella was sensible, she did not complain even she was sleepy and tired.
Like she said, being with her dad and Winnie was a happy thing, so she did not mind she was tired and
sleepy.
"Ok, I will be back early. Next time we'll play longer."
Winnie promised.
"Have your brought your suitcase?"
Finn asked Winnie, thinking that women who go out and come back would carry a big suitcase and
Winnie was no exception.
"No need, I just need a bag and a phone."
Winnie said casually. She did not come back with suitcase, so she did not have to leave with one.
"Well then, let's go straight to the airport."
When Finn finished, the car turned at the intersection ahead.
After dropping Winnie off at the airport, Finn drove away in Winnie's car.
Winnie checked in with her ticket and came to the departure hall.
She was tired from the past two days, and only then she felt drained at the moment, so she found a
chair and sat down.
She took a deep breath and then looked around.
There were still a lot of people coming and going from the airport at this time, but most of them were
three or two friends, family; in short, there were very few single women like her.
Seeing such a situation, Winnie suddenly felt desolate. She felt like a leaf blown down by the autumn
wind, no one cared about her and no external force could guard her, she could only flutter around with
winds.
Winnie wondered if she would flutter around with winds for the rest of her life.
Just as she was thinking about what would happen to her, she got a message.
Winnie opened her bag and took her phone out. And then she saw that the message was from Brian.
Brian: Where are you?
Winnie: The airport terminal, boarding soon.
Winnie replied. She preferred to communicate with Brian using words because it made her feel better.
Brian's tone was cold. But in words, she could use her warm attitude to explain Brian's words so that
her heart would not be cold, so that he would become a warm man.
Brian: Why did you leave without even telling me?
Winnie hesitated for a moment before replying.
Winnie: I'm used to being alone and don't want to disturb others.
Brian: How about Finn?
Winnie hesitated again. Brian was the man she had loved deeply, but now he was a stranger, but Finn,
who she didn't love, was a friend by her side. How ridiculous and heartbreaking.
Brian sent over another message.
Brian: He likes you?
Winnie: Maybe, but he hasn't told me that. I'll accept if he likes me.
Winnie replied immediately, not to make Brian angry, and he could not be angry because he did not
care. Winnie just wanted to let Brian know that she was unmarriageable not because she had no one to
like her.
Brian: You like him?
At this moment, Brian was going crazy. He was able to maintain restraint in the previous messages, but
this reply from Winnie drove him crazy.
It was because he couldn't control his emotions that he sent "You like him?".
While waiting for Winnie's reply, he picked up his other phone ......
This message hurt Winnie by just looking at it.
The whole world knew who the man she loved was, except he was in question asked if she liked other
men. Such a man was really not worth her liking.
Winnie: Yes.
Winnie: He and I are perfect for each other, he is widowed with a kid and I am single with kids, so we
are a match, right? The most important thing is that he and I have no gap, I feel that I am worthy of him
and he is attached to my standards.
Winnie: Whatever, we're right for each other either way.
Winnie: people like me cannot match a rich man and can only married a man like Finn who had been
married before. His shoulder is reserved for me instead of other woman, so I won’t be sad.
Winnie: As long as he wants to, I will marry him immediately.
Winnie sent several messages out in a row, not provocative but so that Brian would no longer pester
her in the future.
She knew it was unethical to use Finn in this way, but only Finn was now attached to her provocative
standards.
Finn was a director in the Public Security Bureau, so Brian would not do anything to him, but accepted
the fact and no longer pestered her.
Brian: You can't like him, give me back your heart. The best man for you in this world is me not Finn.
Brian: Are you saying that to make me go crazy?
Brian: You're mine, you can’t marry anyone.
Brian: From now on, keep your distance from Finn, you can't marry him.
Brian: I will not let you marry another man as long as I live.
Brian: I love you, and I care about you more than any man. If you dare to marry another man, I will
make you restless for the rest of your life.
Brian didn't even know how he typed those words out. His hands were shaking from Winnie's words out
of anger. He felt like his spirit had been drained away by Winnie, and he had no strength at all.
He did not care if Winnie loved him or not, no matter how Winnie looked at him, he wanted to be with
Winnie. At the moment she said she liked Finn, his heart hurt, like being cut by a knife.
He couldn't stand that Winnie fell in love with someone else, and there was no way he could accept
that Winnie married someone else. His heart pulsed for Winnie, and if she was with someone else,
everything in his heart would stop beating.
