Meanwhile in the other ward.
"I followed you to the hospital yesterday and waited outside the resuscitation room. Then I saw Winnie
coming, so I left first."
"I also saw that Oscar and Winnie were both away before I came in today, for fear that they would see
and suspect us."
Wendy explained earnestly, afraid that Penny would blame her for not showing up at a critical moment.
"Got it, you did the right thing. It's good to be careful, or Winnie should be suspicious."
Penny knew that she and Wendy were using each other, so how could she possibly dwell on whether
Wendy was there or not? Her current health was getting worse day by day, and the things she wanted
to accomplish were not finished. And the only person she could use was Wendy, so even if Wendy
didn't take her seriously, Penny would turn a blind eye.
"Yes, I'm afraid that Winnie will see something, so I have to be cautious."
Hearing that, Wendy was mentally grounded. Otherwise, she was really afraid that there was no way to
implement her plan.
"Wendy, there's something I need to tell you. If I die, you can control Gloria."
The reason Penny said that was that she had no more time to weigh the right and wrong of what she
had done.
Gloria said the words too harshly, she wouldn't let Gloria and Brian be together even if she died.
"You won't die, don't talk nonsense. Nowadays, medicine is so advanced, you can definitely be cured.
You'll be treated in the hospital, if you don't have enough money, I'll pay for you."
Wendy complimented generously, but what was on her mind was what Penny was going to say to her.
"I have the money, and it's useless to keep it for a dying man. I'd better tell you what I want to say."
Penny coldly grunted, thinking the advanced level of medical treatment was useless for her.
She’d better not to waste her time.
"Gloria often got a room with other men and even fooled around with several of them at the same time.
Brian didn't know about it and once he knows, it is impossible for him to accept Brian."
The thing Penny was going to tell Wendy was about Gloria's past. She would make Gloria regret that
she said those things.
"Is that so?"
Wendy asked suspiciously, because she had investigated Gloria before, but she got no clues.
"Yes, she covered all those things up to get close to Brian, you can't find it out even if you want to now.
But I have her information in my hands, I investigated her years ago, and she hadn't had time to cover
it up back then."
"I'll give you the proof when I get out of the hospital."
Penny knew what Wendy was suspecting, and it was indeed not easy to find out about Gloria's past
now. But the information in Penny's hand was investigated back when she and Brian were a couple.
At that time, when Gloria approached Brian, Penny secretly investigated Gloria. She never thought that
this evidence could still be used after so many years.
Penny continued.
"Show this evidence to Brian and even Felix. After that, they will not accept Gloria."
Penny didn't have the energy to accomplish it, but it didn't mean Wendy wasn't interested. So yeah,
Penny could only use Wendy. Of course, these things were good for Wendy as well. It was like chip for
her.
"But Gloria says she doesn't care, she ......"
As Wendy had just given her thoughts, Penny interrupted her.
"So you believe her? If she doesn't care, she would not be after me. I'm alive now, and she doesn't
even dare to be with Brian, just because she's afraid I'll tell her out."
"I know that she won't easily give up on Brian. So your opponent isn't just Winnie alone, there's also
Gloria."
Penny really didn't know if Wendy was really smart or pretending to be confused, and she even had the
nerve to open her mouth to such a simple question.
Even if Wendy gave up on Brian, Gloria wouldn't give up.
"Okay, I get it, I'll make good use of it."
With an extra handhold, of course Wendy was happy, it was better than nothing at all.
But the most important opponent was still Winnie, and as long as Winnie was defeated, Gloria was not
worth mentioning at all.
"Is our plan still in place?"
Wendy asked Penny.
"Yes, sure. I'll be out of the hospital in a few days when I'm in better shape. We'll pick a time and
reschedule."
Penny would not abandon the plan even if she was to die tomorrow. As long as there was a little hope,
as long as there was a breath of air in her, she had to fight Winnie to the end.
Gloria said that Winnie lived better than anyone else without Penny. But Penny wanted to say that if
she didn't have Winnie in her life, she would live better.
So they were natural enemies, and if they met again in the next life, she would continue the struggle.
"Well, then, I'll wait to hear from you."
As Wendy's voice had just fallen, the door of the ward was pushed open.
Hearing the sound, Wendy and Penny looked over together, and they were both surprised.
The person who entered was Brian, who they hadn't expected.
"Wendy, you are here too."
Brian spoke first, but his voice was cold.
He came out at Leo's ward and was coming over to find Penny. He was surprised to see Wendy here,
but more than that, he was angry. Just like Winnie said, there must be something between the two of
them together.
"I ......I came to ......"
"No need to explain, this is a hospital and anyone has a right to be here."
Wendy stammered and didn't know how to answer, and it was inevitable that she would be nervous
after just talking about something related to Brian. Luckily, Brian interrupted her, otherwise she might
have spilled out what she had just said.
After giving Wendy a cold look, Brian turned to Penny.
"You're in pretty good shape. Don't do anything that doesn't make sense in the future, getting well is the
most important thing for you."
Brian's voice was cold, but he didn't get angry.
He insinuated a warning to Penny, and did not yell in anger.
He wanted to reprimand Penny, but once he came in and saw Penny's bony and pale face, Brian didn't
feel the need to be furious with her.
"Of course I will put my health first, thank you for your concern, Mr. Bennet."
Penny mocked herself as she responded to Brian, for she could hear the warning in Brian's words. It
was just that his warning didn't make any sense to Penny.
She must do what she wanted to do, and even the emperor could not stop her.
"Where did you hear about my hospitalization, Mr. Bennet? Did Gloria contact you, or Winnie tell you?"
Penny wanted to know who Brian had come over today for.
"This is something you shouldn't think about, Penny. I want you to put your health first."
Brian didn't answer Penny's question and warned Penny once again.
Penny was pitiful but resentful. She looked pitiful when she didn't speak. However, once she spoke, the
shifty tone and her questions were disgusting.
"Penny, let go of what you should let go of. You can't help no matter how hard you try for the things that
don’t belong to you, it's better to listen to God and let nature take its course."
"I have to go now, and I hope you are healthier than now the next time I see you."
Brian turned around directly after he finished speaking, and then stopped in his tracks.
"Wendy, you should go."
Brian wanted to call Wendy out and take this opportunity to say everything that needed to be said to
her before.
"What?"
"Ok ...... I'll go too, I'll go. Take care of yourself and I'll see you some day."
Since Brian had given the order, Wendy dare not stay.
And she hadn't found a chance to see Brian for a long time, and she couldn't miss this opportunity.
Finn asked Winnie out to a coffee shop.
Seeing the woman sitting next to Finn, Winnie probably understood what was going on.
This woman could very well be the psychiatrist that Finn had told her.
Finn had asked her out, but Winnie hadn't decided to see a psychiatrist or now. But Finn was kind after
all, and Winnie couldn't be capricious.
"Officer Chambers, this is my schoolmate I told you before, her name is Diana."
Finn introduced the beautiful woman next to him, but did not introduce her occupation, for fear that
Winnie would resist.
Since so, Winnie would not expose him, in order to avoid embarrassing Finn and Diana.
"Hello Diana, my name is Winnie, I'm a subordinate of Director Poole."
Winnie greeted Diana with a gentle smile.
"Hello, I'm Diana Brooke, just call me Diana. You're a subordinate of Director Poole, I'm too, but I am
not as powerful as he."
Diana introduced herself.
Diana was good looking.
But she looked at Winnie sharply, feeling like she was looking into something. Maybe it was
professional sensitivity or maybe it was because Finn had told her about Winnie in advance.
"You are an excellent person, it doesn't matter how high your position is. You're all modest."
Winnie was friendly and didn't dodge Diana's eyes.
"Diana will be transferred to our bureau in some time, so you'll have time to contact."
Finn was still talking about Diana's situation, and had no intention of getting to the point.
Since so, Winnie didn't want to mention those sensitive topics.
She didn't want to communicate about herself with strangers, even experts in mental activity.
All she'd been through was painful, and it hurt her heart just by talking about it. And talking about it
lengthened the time for her to get over.
It was the most painful that the past could not be forgotten.
"Well, welcome to join us, beautiful lady."
Winnie hid her mind with a smile on her face, and she was well aware that Diana was likely to read her
inner mind. But she still had to cover it up.
They had been chatting, not mentioning anything about mental health at all. None of what Winnie
feared happened until Winnie made an excuse to leave.
After Winnie left, Finn and Diana continued to drink their coffee.
"How's that, is she in a bad mental state?"
Finn asked seriously about Winnie's situation.
"Well, yes, and she needs treatment, but it will have to be examined more clearly with the help of
professional manipulation and her cooperation."
"Officer Chambers is smart, and she's been avoiding me."
"Communicate with her, and when you do, we will work out a treatment plan. Even if I get transferred to
become her colleague, she won’t tell me directly."
