Just when Brian was helping Winnie pull out the needles, Penny had already stood up from the ground,
the anger in her heart had not been released, and seeing Brian being so nervous and so caring
towards Winnie, she was even more furious.
Penny's anger had burned away her sanity, so she looked around for a sharp weapon with aggression,
and with a fierce sight landed on the fruit knife on the table, without thinking, she ran straight over to
get her hands on it.
She had made a move today, so she had to get success.
With a ruthlessness that was bound to win, she raised the fruit knife in her hand and rushed towards
the hospital bed, not knowing who she would stab, depending on who would get hit.
However, as she ran to the hospital bed and raised the knife to stab Winnie, Oscar's angry roar
suddenly appeared.
"Penny, stop it."
Oscar caught Brian's attention. The needle for the infusion was pulled down, and he looked back and
clutched Penny's wrist that had stopped in mid-air.
Brian threw it out with force, and just this action made Penny fall out a long way.
Brian was furious and had no intention of letting Penny go at all. Since she dared to use a knife to
commit murder, she was going to pay the price for it.
Brian got up and jumped off the bed, his purpose was obvious. Although he never hit a woman, he had
to make an exception today.
But just as he was about to run towards Penny, Winnie pulled his arm from behind.
"Don't ......"
She uttered. Winnie didn't want Brian to hurt Penny.
Not wanting things to go irreparably wrong, not exactly because of the poor Penny in her eyes, but
because she was worried that Brian would pay the price for it and would fall into Penny's trap.
Whether Penny had set up a trap, Winnie couldn't be sure, but Penny was someone who was going to
die who wasn't afraid of anything and could do anything. She could have used Brian to beat her and set
a trap.
This would affect both Brian's reputation and future, both of which would be haunted by Penny.
Brian's eyes were like on fire from Penny's actions, but he had to not care about the reason why Winnie
was pulling her back. She must not have been able to bear to watch Penny being beaten by him and
didn't want Penny to die at his hands.
Brian stood still and did not move forward, in anger.
At this time Oscar had already walked over to Penny and snatched away the fruit knife that was held in
Penny's hand even though she had fallen.
"You're crazy, aren't you? You asked me to go out so you came here? Do you think it makes sense for
you to do that? Why are you childish?"
"You've been seriously ill ......"
Oscar accused angrily, and if he was losing some sense, he would even scold Penny.
However Penny didn't care his words.
"I need a companion because I am seriously ill, if I am healthy, I wouldn't have done it, I would torture
her for the rest of my life."
"Oscar, it's between her and me, stay out of it ......"
"You got revenge from fate because you've done too many wrong things. Don't you know that yet, why
are you still obsessed?"
"A person's life is destined by God, and it's not up to you to decide whether Winwin lives or dies. Are
you sure that she will die if you stab her with this knife? Haven't you thought about that this slash will
make Brian treat Winwin better?"
"What's wrong with you, Penny? Don't you know that there are two sides to everything? Don't you think
you're stupid?"
Oscar was angry because of Penny did not have repentance, because of the hatred, she had been
refusing to let go Winnie. He didn't expect that even at this point, Penny was still deliberately hurting
Winnie.
Penny was so unrepentant.
"Don't preach to me, I don't listen. All I know is that if I'm not good, she won't be good, and she can't
live if I die. I will never spare her."
Penny shouted loudly, why did everyone come to condemn what she did? Why didn't anyone put
themselves in her shoes? Why didn't anyone see that it wasn't easy for her, why did everyone lean
towards Winnie?
That was why she hated Winnie, hated the fact that Winnie had attracted everyone's attention while
she had become the wrong party.
"You think too much, Penny. Even if you die, you can't meet her again, because you will go to hell and
she will go to heaven. No matter how jealous you are or how much you hate her, you are only hurting
yourself."
Oscar looked hopelessly at Penny, some of what she did was unforgivable.
"You're nonsense, how did you know I would go to hell? Oscar, how come even you don't care about
my feelings, how come even you don't understand how hard it is for me?"
Oscar's words were like a tiger's roar, and Penny was scared, she had suffered enough in this life, she
didn't want to go to hell and continue to be tortured after she died.
"Have you ever cared about the feelings of others? Have you ever understood the difficulties of others?
Have you ever faced up to your own mistakes? You can't do anything, you can't even face yourself, so
why should you let others understand you?"
"Penny, it's time for you to reflect on why you end up like this, why you're still alone when you are close
to death. You put everything on hate because you have nothing but hate."
Oscar was going crazy. He didn't understand who everyone's bitter words were for, and who Winnie's
forgiveness over and over again was for. If all these people didn't care about her feelings, how could
they forgive her again and again?
The reason for Oscar's fury was not just his disappointment with Penny.
She took a knife to stab Winnie, if Oscar did not lose his temper and did not scold her then Brian would
not let Penny go.
No matter how angry he was, his ultimate goal was to have Penny die with some peace and dignity.
It really made Oscar's heart cold when she said that no one cared about her.
"No, don't say it. I don't want to hear you, you're just speaking for Winnie, you're just taking sides with
her."
Penny retorted as Oscar said that she had nothing and could only rely on hatred. These words were
like a sledgehammer falling heavily on Penny's head, smashing her to the point of suffocation,
smashing her to the point of death.
She thought carefully for examples that could refute Oscar's words, but there were none, she had no
family, no friends, no confidant, no lover.
Her life was coming to an end and she did not even have a child.
The only thing she had was death, a grave.
"You ......"
Oscar was going to continue to get angry, and by this time Winnie had already walked over to her and
pulled her in.
Winnie couldn't say anything and watched as Oscar taught Penny a lesson and was still anxious, so
she could only walk over to stop it. Brian was uneasy, so he shielded Winnie's side.
"And you still protect her, she wants you dead and you give her a chance."
Oscar was angry at Winnie's kind heart and her kindness being ignored by Penny.
Winnie still couldn't say anything, but she shook her head.
Just when Penny was about to cover her to death with the quilt just now, just when Penny was stabbing
over with the knife, she had understood that Penny just couldn't let go of her resentment, despite her
repeated efforts to impress her.
But she was already dying, and there was no point in talking about it. It wouldn't help at all.
Winnie came over to stop Oscar, but didn't reach out to help Penny. She was afraid that Penny would
still persist in killing her.
She suddenly realized that she couldn't just die at Penny's hands, it didn't make any sense at all. She
still had her children, her sister and her aunt, and the people she loved most.
If she gave her life to Penny, what should her family and two children do? For these people not to be
sad, she must always be careful of Penny.
Moreover, Brian was embracing her, so there was no way she could get close to Penny.
Winnie couldn't stop shaking her head, which calmed Oscar down and told him to keep his mouth shut.
There was silence in the ward for a while, and Oscar regained his senses, and then helped Penny to
leave.
Brian watched Penny leave with murder intention in his eyes, if it wasn't for Winnie's deadly tug on him,
if it wasn't for Winnie's pity on Penny, he guaranteed that Penny wouldn't be able to walk out of this
ward.
She was a patient, a dying person, but she didn't have the right to just kill anyone, didn't have the
qualifications to hurt Winnie. If Penny was given to him to handle, he would guarantee that she wouldn't
live in the next second.
After Penny left, Brian called the nurse to re-infuse Winnie's fluids. Winnie was silent and didn't even
give Brian a look.
Brian held Winnie's hand from start to finish, and Winnie kept holding it hard. From the strength in
Winnie's hand, he could tell that she was scared.
Knowing that she was afraid, Brian made it even more impossible to let go of Winnie's hand, not to let
her suffer the panic.
The infusion was restarted and the nurse left. Winnie's fever began to run high again at this point,
which made her dizzy.
"I ......"
Closing her eyes with just the word I, she was sure Brian knew she was going to sleep.
Brian did know what Winnie meant and knew that she was uncomfortable. But he couldn't let her sleep
after the shock, for fear that she would have nightmares.
"Wait, the nurse has gone to get your fever reducer. Take it before you sleep."
The anger in Brian's heart hadn't completely subsided, but his attitude towards Winnie was soft and
warm.
She was shocked, but said nothing. Any other woman would have thrown herself into his arms for
comfort and would have cried out.
But Winnie did not, though she was heartbreaking.
Winnie heard that there was still fever reducer to be taken, she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to
hold on and fall asleep, so she simply sat up.
Nothing was said, but Brian knew she was waiting for the fever reducer to come, and possibly for his
comfort.
