Hearing Alice’s answer, Winnie took a sign and then braced up.
"I will be back by noon. Help me, or I will stay up late again today."
Now that time was limited, Winnie did not want to waste time anymore, so she threw herself into the
work.
But just as she was about to work, a sick feeling came over her. Luckily, she didn't throw up.
"Winnie, Mr. Bennet wants to see you."
"Did he say what it is about?"
Winnie had concerns, because she did not want to see Brian in such a state.
"No, but he said you have to see him."
"Ok then, you help me with the paperwork, I'll be right back."
Winnie went to Brian's office after saying that.
When she came to the office, Albert was reporting his work. Winnie asked when he had done.
"What do you want to see me about?”
Brian looked up at Winnie coldly and felt distressed when he saw that she did not look well. But only
after a moment, he said sharply.
"I have decided to marry Gloria and have discussed it with her..."
"Mr. Bennet..."
Albert interrupted Brian. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He couldn't believe that Brian
decided his marriage in such a hasty way and that he was not going to marry Winnie.
"Get out."
Brian commanded in an angry voice, not wanting Albert to destroy his psychological preparation.
"Mr. Bennet..."
"Get out."
That Albert did not give up angered Brian. Albert had no put down the documents and walked out of the
president's office.
After Albert went out, Winnie finally opened her mouth.
"That's good, congratulations."
"What can I do for you?"
Winnie knew that Brian was not only taking about his marriage, there must be something else to warn
her.
Winnie’s indifferent attitude angered Brian, and it intensified his determination to marry Gloria.
"The kids, now that I am going to be married, we must take care of the kids."
"Go ahead, I'll cooperate with you."
Winnie was still indifferent, but she felt extremely uncomfortable in heart. And her stomach hurt again.
Maybe because of mental tension, her stomach felt painful and she had a feeling of vomiting. However,
she endured it and tried to settle everything with Brian.
After that, everything would be over and they would begin their new life.
"The custody is yours. After Gloria and I get married, we will live in the old house. If you have no time
to take care of the kids, you can send them to the suburbs. I don't want them to have too much contact
with Gloria."
Brian spoke in detail.
"When I want to see them, you send them to the suburbs, and when they are in trouble, you contact my
sister. Don't disturb my life..."
Before he could finish, Winnie suddenly covered her mouth and rushed to Brian's break room. Then
she threw up in the bathroom.
She had tried to endure it and thought she could wait until Brian finished speaking. However, she
overestimated herself and she had to use Brian's bathroom.
Brian hurriedly followed behind. Seeing that Winnie vomited, he regretted saying those words.
He didn't know what he could do, so he brought a bottle of water.
"Didn’t you get infusion in hospital? Why you still vomit?"
Brian asked Winnie while Winnie gasped for breath.
"It's not a panacea, how can it be..."
Before she could finish, she vomited again. The porridge she had for lunch seemed to have been
thrown up.
Winnie got tears in eyes and felt better when her stomach was empty.
She took the water Brian handed over and began to rinse her mouth.
"You get out first. I've got this place dirty. We'll continue to talk about the kids after I clean it up."
Winnie threw the empty water bottle in the trash and began to clean the toilet.
After that, Winnie felt better and when she walked out of the bathroom, she found Brian still standing in
the break room.
"Let’s talk outside."
It was no longer her place. She had no right to stay. She wouldn't have rushed in if she could help it.
Winnie stepped out, but when she reached the door, she came back. She went to the closet and
opened it, found a paper bag and put her clothes in it.
"It will make Gloria misunderstand, so I take it away."
Then Winnie left the break room.
She even did not take a second look at Brian.
Brian's attitude was clear. He had chosen Gloria and he would be faithful to Gloria, and Winnie would
have nothing to do with him and even could not talk with him about the kids.
Well, being cruel was good for everyone.
Winnie came to the office, standing in front of the desk, like reporting work.
"I agreed to all the conditions you have just proposed, and I solemnly promise you that I will not use the
kids as an excuse to disturb your life."
"I will discuss with Stella and Rufus about the kids, and I will get your opinion from them."
"Mr. Bennet, there's one thing I want you to think about. You and I were together and Gloria must mind
it, so you’d better let me go back to my company. I...... I can do the job well in my own company."
Winnie raised her opinion. She believed Gloria certainly did not want to see her, and she did not want
to see Brian, so she wanted to go back to her company.
"You don't have to worry about that. Whether you go or stay depends entirely on Gloria. If she minds it,
I will transfer you to go back to your company."
"We'll talk to the kids some time."
Brian returned to his cold face and his usual cold tone.
This was his real side.
"I can spare the time, you arrange it."
"Mr. Bennet, I'll be waiting for your call."
Winnie took a last look at Brian and then walked away with her own things.
The last glance contained too much emotion.
It represented the end, represented a new beginning, represented that they would live their separate
lives and represented that he must be happier than her.
After Albert was kicked out of the president's office, he went to see Calvin. Calvin was working in his
office. Albert suddenly broke in, which surprised him.
"What's the matter? Why are you in such a hurry?”
Calvin asked Albert.
"Mr. Bennet decided to marry Gloria."
Albert was in a hurry, as if Gloria and Brian would have kids if he was late.
"What? How can Mr. Bennet marry Gloria? What is in his mind?"
Hearing such news, Calvin was nervous.
"I don't know. If we don’t find out the truth, Winnie and Mr. Bennet will be over."
"Haven't you finished your video yet?"
Albert took the video back and handed it over to Calvin, but several days passed and there was no
news from him.
"Not yet. The workload is so heavy these days that I have to work overtime during my rest time. I only
watched part of the video, and I didn't fast-forward it at all so I won’t miss something important. I
watched it second by second."
Calvin took out his laptop. Work was not important, they needed to finish watching the video and find
out important information.
They both started checking the video together.
"You fast forward and we'll watch it together."
Albert reminded, staring at the screen.
Aftert ten minutes, they noticed something unusual.
"Hold on, who is this? Why is she in the room?"
Albert felt suspicious and asked.
"Zoom in and let me see."
Then Calvin zoomed in the video.
"Caro."
Albert recognized her.
“Who's Caro? You know her?"
Calvin asked, puzzled.
"It's the hotel manager who helped me copy these videos."
Albert explained, but he did not know why Caro entered the room. Did she frame Winnie?
The video continued to play, and it fast-forward ten minutes, Stefan and Winnie were in the room, but
Caro had not come out.
"Caro knows Stefan? Did Stefan and Caro do it together?"
Albert raised a question.
"If it really was Stefan, we did the right thing by not asking him, otherwise we would have alerted him."
Calvin and Albert had always believed that Winnie would not cheat on Brian, so they had suspected
that someone was behind scene. At first, they wanted to call Stefan to find out the cause directly, but
they didn't call because anyone could be suspected.
"We're not sure yet. We'll see."
The two continued and found that until the next morning Caro did not come out, even after Winnie and
Stefan left.
"What's the matter? Did Caro never leave, or didn’t we saw it when she left?"
The video continues to play, and Albert was more and more confused.
"Keep watching. If we can’t see she leave until the next customer comes in, we'll start over."
Calvin put forward his suggestion, and then the two began to watch it in silence.
Finally, when the video showed it was at noon, they saw Caro.
"She is out, she out."
Albert was in inexplicable excitement.
"Caro went in the night and came out at noon the next day, and she never left the room."
Calvin was also excited.
