Winnie's alienation was the last thing Brian wanted to see. It was the best evidence that he did not take
good care of Winnie, violation of his promise to Winnie, making her feel sad and could not move on.
How should he do? If the mystery in his heart could not be solved, would he be like this for a lifetime?
Would Winnie leave sooner or later?
But his damned memory no longer moved forward. He did not want to give up, but it did not make any
progress.
Winnie was still in a fever, he could not leave.
He asked Calvin to go back to the company to arrange work and he stayed with Winnie.
After a while, Winnie fell asleep, and later she began to have sweat on her forehead, neck and even all
over her body. The doctor said this was a sign of fever bringing down.
Winnie did not know how long she slept, but when she woke up, she found that all the organs in her
body did not hurt, and her eyes did not feel burning.
“You have been here? Why not go back? You still have a lot of work to do.”
Winnie turned her head and found Brian still sitting on the bed, so she asked.
“Calvin is back. How can I leave when you are still in a fever?”
“Are you feeling better now?”
Brian got up and touched Winnie's forehead with his hand. He made sure the temperature was normal
before withdrawing his hand. But he had been doing this while Winnie was sleeping.
“I'm all right, I'll go back to the company with you.”
With that, Winnie sat up.
“No, the doctor advised you to rest, you may have a fever again. The doctors also advised you not to
go home so you won't infect your family. This flu is so bad that there is a great chance of infection.”
Brian conveyed the words of the doctor. He did not agree that Winnie went home, if she infected the
kids, Winnie would be more worried.
“Then ask the doctor to get hospitalized for me. It's really bad for the kids if I go home.”
Winnie was a mother and had enough experience to know that it would infect others. In this way, she
could not go to the company, nor go home, she could only stay in the hospital.
“Come with me to the suburbs. My sister takes care of you and I can rest assured to work.”
Brian wanted to take this opportunity to get Winnie back.
“I will infect Stella and Rufus, I prefer to be hospitalized. The nurse will take care of me.”
Winnie insisted, because the suburbs was the place she could not go even if she was sick.
How could she go back on the pretext that she was not allowed to go there.
“Brian, it's just a cold. Don't worry. Please persuade Chairman to give the kids back to me, only when
he promised that, I can feel at ease.”
Winnie changed the subject.
Only as soon as possible to solve the problem related to the kids, Winnie can think of the next step, in
order to find a way to leave Brian.
How could Brian not worry? One was that he was worried about Winnie's illness, the other was that he
was worried about Winnie's attitude of deliberately avoiding him.
She clearly was still angry about what happened yesterday and she got sick because of it, but she now
downplayed it and said she was all right.
He didn't explain. He didn't apologize. He didn't make things clear. How could she be all right?
Winnie once again put all hidden in the bottom of her heart, and once again chose to bear silently. But
Brian wanted her to yell at him like all the other women and let it out.
Only tough people could bury things in heart, but they needed to take a lot of grievances. If she had
more injustice, her heart would be away.
“Don't worry about the kids, take care of yourself. Grandpa may know that the kids are with you now,
but he did nothing, so he would not be cruel.”
“I'm going to ask my sister to take the two kids to the old house this weekend. The kids’ works are the
most useful.”
Brian said, and when there was opportunity, he would communicate with Winnie.
“What if Chairman doesn't allow the kids to come back?”
Winnie was worried, after all, Felix had not made final decision.
“No, my sister can bring them back. Just get well and don't think about anything. I will keep what I
promise you. Even if Grandpa doesn't agree to give you custody of the kids in the end, I won't let you
separate from them. I will help you and the kids leave together so that Grandpa can never find you.”
Brian simply put his final card out, so that Winnie could feel at ease.
“What about you?”
Winnie asked, looking at Brian sadly with expectation.
She wanted to know what would happen to Brian if she took the children away. Would he leave with
them or stay alone?
“I...”
Brian hesitated, not knowing how to answer.
He wanted to leave with Winnie and the kids, but such a blow to grandpa was fatal, and besides he
could not let go of so many staff of the Bennet Group who followed him.
And if he left with them, Grandpa won't give up. He'll find them. Then Winnie's situation would be more
dangerous.
“You want to stay.”
Winnie gave a bitter answer for Brian before he could answer.
“Stay if you want, don't feel hard to make a decision. You don't have to worry about the children, I will
take good care of them.”
Winnie sighed and continued.
“Now that you're going to let me leave with the children, there's no need to persuade the chairman. Just
arrange for us to leave directly. And take care of the Vanessa’s stuff in the school. I can't just take the
kids with me. I want to take my aunt and Vanessa with me.”
Brian's words did reassure Winnie that at least she could be with her children.
From the moment she knew that Luke was her son, Winnie had been looking for an opportunity to
leave Brian with her two kids. Now she got the opportunity, but she was disappointed in Brian's attitude.
She wanted Brian to say he would leave with them, wanted to spend the rest of her life with Brian. But
she was in the daydream, she was not important enough to make Brian give up family, give up career,
give up a large forest to choose her insignificant grass.
“Winwin, this is the last thing we can do. I'm still going to try to get you to stay in B City. In that way, I
can have a career and children.”
“I can't just let you go without trying efforts. My life would be colorless without you.”
Winnie's words made Brian feel cold. He suddenly felt that he had lost Winnie and kids, suddenly felt
that he was alone in the world and that Winnie abandoned him.
But the fact was, he did not choose Winnie but to stay down alone.
“Maybe. Time will get you used to it.”
Winnie deliberately said her words indifferently. Since she and the children were so important to him,
why not choose them?
But Winnie would say out these words, she would not force Brian to do anything he did not like.
“Winwin, are you willing to leave me?”
Brian asked Winnie. He did not understand why she could put the words so easily.
Winnie, however, ducked the subject.
“Brian, I am hungry. Bring me something to eat.”
Brian gazed sadly at Winnie and looked away after a long while
“Wait, I'll order food for you.”
Brian did not ask any further questions. He was afraid that the two would quarrel if the subject
continued.
The two of them ate together and Winnie felt much better. She wanted to return to the company but
was rejected by Brian.
Brian asked Winnie to rest in the hospital room and drink as much hot water as possible to avoid a
fever again.
Winnie knew that no matter where she went, it was irresponsible behavior, so she could only stay in the
hospital.
After calling her aunt, she lay in bed to rest. At this time, Brian went out to Kevin to see if there was a
better way.
Kevin was on the afternoon shift. As he just arrived at the hospital, Brian came.
“You know I come work at this hour, you are on time.”
Before Kevin put on the white coat, Brian came timely.
“I've been here for a while and Winnie is here, she gets a fever.”
Brian said in a low tone and he was in low spirit.
“You have been in the hospital? Why didn’t you tell me? I'll go and see Winwin first.”
As he said that, Kevin quickly put on the white coat.
Kevin was to leave after changing the clothes, but Brian stopped him.
“A doctor had check on her, now she is fine and taking rest in the ward.”
“Kevin, let’s talk. I'm torn right now.”
Looked at Brian’s depressing face, he guessed why he was upset.
Kevin looked at the time and found it was ahead of the work time, so he took Brian to the roof of the
hospital.
“It's quieter and has a wide view. Not saying anything will even make you feel better here.”
It was the first time Kevin had brought Brian here, just to ease Brian’s mood.
Kevin looked back at Brian and continued to say.
“Does Winnie find out the woman who saved your life?”
“No.”
Brian replied in a deep voice.
“That woman has been found?”
Kevin wondered.
“No, If she has been found, the problem will have been solved. And I won't have any worries.”
Brian took a sigh, and did not improve the mood because of the broad vision here.
“What is it? Say it.”
Kevin urged eagerly.
“Winwin is sick because...”
Brian briefly said what happened in these days.
“So Winwin got sick from the sea breeze? You know she is weak physically, why let her blow the sea
breeze?”
Kevin controlled his temper and would have lost his temper if Brian had not been upset.
“That woman isn't important, and you're not sure your heart to her. If you recover your memory she is
only your rescuer and it has nothing to do with your feeling, and you will regret hurting Winwin.”
Kevin continued.
“And you have broken up with Wendy, you should keep a distance from her. It can be solved on the
phone if there is any problems, or you can ask Albert they to solve it. Why do you have to meet? It
makes Winwin uncomfortable.”
“What I am most worried about now is that that woman is Wendy. What do you want me to do if it is
Wendy? If it is Wendy, it means I have hurt my rescuer.”
