Hey, My Twins Babies Chapter 553 Loss Avoidance

Prev Chapter Next Chapter

Rufus was in the parking lot waiting for Winnie. During the period of waiting, he had been thinking

about what Winnie said, about Vanessa had to be independent.

He felt more distressed about it and missed Vanessa.

He looked at his watch and found it was time after school. Winnie might take a while, so Rufus sent a

message to Winnie and drove to Vanessa's school.

Rufus made a call to Vanessa and asked her out. When he saw Vanessa, he finally gave a smile.

"Vanessa, have I bothered your class?"

He asked before Vanessa reached him.

"No, I am after school."

Vanessa answered Rufus while walking, but her tone was deep and she was expressionless.

"Good, I am worried about you, so I came to see you. I brought you a lot of food, you can take it back

and eat with your classmates."

With that, Rufus opened the trunk and took out two large bags of food.

"Thank you, Rufus."

Vanessa was still indifferent. She was not angry but guilty to Rufus.

"We are families, no need to thank. How are you going? If you don't get used to live in school, you can

go home. I can take you to school."

Rufus said with a smile. Vanessa was indifferent, but he did not mind it. She came out to see him,

which meant that she did not blame him.

"I'm fine. I'm used to it. I need to study, so I will not go home. I'll be back for the holidays."

Vanessa refused and said she would go back on holiday, because her aunt would come back at that

time, which gave her a reason not to go back.

"Vanessa, are you still angry? It was my bad..."

"No, Rufus, I really don't want to bother my sister. It's hard enough for her, I can’t become her burden."

Vanessa interrupted Rufus.

She thought a lot. She had no right to judge others. Her sister had told her that no one in the world

except her parents had the duty to be good to her.

So her dissatisfaction with the Bennet family was unreasonable, because they had no reason to be

good to her and her sister.

But she and her sister were dependent on each other, and such feeling grew stronger when her aunt

was gone. They were like two unwanted orphans, neither of whom was at ease.

In this case, she should be nice to her sister, and her sister should be nice to her. She could not be a

burden to her sister, so she did not want to bother the Bennet family.

"It's not easy for you or your sister, and it's all my fault."

Rufus did not continue to say sorry, because Vanessa did not listen to it. He only had inexplicable

regrets, which made Vanessa confused.

"Don't say that, Rufus. My sister and I are destined to be like this. It has nothing to do with anyone."

Rufus words were unpredictable, so was Vanessa's comfort. She comforted him was purely because

Rufus was guilty, but she didn't know why he was guilty. He should not be so guilty because of what

happened that day.

"Vanessa, if you really don't blame me, come back to visit me on weekend. I miss you."

Rufus knew Vanessa still cared about that, but he still wanted to invite Vanessa. It was a bit of an

imposition, but it'd better than that he could not see her.

"Rufus, I'll come and see you when I am available. Thank you for thinking of me."

"Rufus, I will accept these food. I must go back to the canteen for dinner. If I am late, there will be

nothing to eat."

Vanessa said, stooping to pick up two large bags of food, and then said goodbye.

"Good-bye, Rufus. I'll invite you out to dinner sometime."

Although she saw reluctance in Rufus’ eyes, but as her voice fell, she still turned away.

She had a strange feeling about Rufus, like a father visiting his daughter at school. Only a father would

show such concern.

Unfortunately, he is not her father. If he was her father and they had conflict, she would run to give him

a hug.

Rufus looked at Vanessa more and more away, feeling depressed.

She was young but sensible. She had experienced the pain of family loss and had overcome too many

difficulties.

The next day Winnie decided to go to work because she could not stay at home anymore.

"Alice, I need your help."

Winnie sat in the office chair and said to Alice who had finished reporting work.

Alice gave a smile.

"Ok, what can I do for you?"

"Personal thing."

"No problem, I can help. You seldom asked me for help, you are now giving me a chance to show my

ability."

Alice joked. She was glad that Winnie came to work, she just had a problem with her injured foot.

"Drive me to and from work from today on. Brian’s father is old and he still pick me up, I feel…..."

"I understand, no problem."

Before Winnie finished, Alice agreed readily.

"Winnie, Mr. Bennet's father is very nice to you. Everyone in the company admires him. They say he

treats you like a daughter."

Alice said.

"You only heard good words, you haven't heard all the bad words. They all say behind me that I am a

mistress and that I want to married to Brian taking advantage of two children."

Winnie's tone was relaxed. She had heard these words more than once.

"They can say what they want, we can't control it. We are mortals, not gods. You never know what you

are like in someone else's mouth. So, Winnie, don't pay attention to those words. As long as you are

happy and live a sunny life every day, our trip of life will be worth it."

Alice seriously enlightened Winnie.

She had heard far more negative words than praise about Winnie. But in her heart Winnie was not only

a rare talent, but also a good woman, so she never took the disparaging remarks to heart.

"Oh, you have a unique understanding of life at a young age. Alice, did you figure this out on your own

or did someone else told you that?"

Alice was serious, but Winnie smiled.

No matter who said this, or it was suspected of plagiarism, Winnie appreciated Alice's positive and

optimistic attitude towards life.

"My grandpa told me."

Alice laughed again. If her grandfather was a man of wisdom, she would have heard a lot of wise

words.

"Winnie, I have been listening to these words since I was a child. My grandpa always said such words

to me."

When it came to her grandpa, Alice laughed happily. She learned a lot from her grandpa.

While the two were talking and laughing, Calvin knocked on the door and came in. And he had a

serious face, which didn't go with the lively atmosphere of the two women.

"Winnie, there is a new YB phone. It will be on the market in two days, but something goes wrong. The

technicians have been working on it but they can't figure it out. They want your help."

Hearing that, Winnie stopped smiling, but she was concerned.

"Calvin, I am not..."

When Winnie wanted to explain, Brian called.

"It is Mr. Bennet, I gotta answer the phone."

Then Winnie picked up the phone.

“Brian.”

"Do me a favor, there's a problem with the phone that only you seem to be able to solve it. The damage

will be great if we don't fix it soon."

Brian was anxious. Two people came to her for the same thing, so it was big, but...

"I just wanted to tell Calvin that I am not the person of your company, is it appropriate?"

Winnie said in euphemism. She was afraid of leaking industry secrets in the process, even if she and

Brian had relationship, it would be hard to explain.

"We don’t think so much. I trust you. Go and help. We won't have time to correct it if you are late."

Brian was on a business trip and could not come back. After receiving the news, he was very worried. If

the problem could not be solved, the lost would be huge, and it would be the biggest accident since he

took over the Bennet Group.

Now only Winnie could help. Brian knew what she was worried about, but he believed Winnie more

than anyone else.

"Ok, I will be there. Don't worry too much."

Winnie agreed after a moment of hesitation. Hearing that Brian was anxious, she could not bear to

refuse.

"Good, but you have to be careful of your foot. Ask Calvin carry you."

Brian was concerned. Hearing that, Winnie gave a smile and felt sweet in heart.

"Are you crazy? We are in the company, how can I ask Calvin to carry me? Don't worry, I'll be careful.

Just do your work and come back as quickly as possible."

Winnie hung up the phone. There was an emergency to deal with, so she did not have time to chat with

Brian.

Winnie, Calvin and Alice came to the branch together and began to face the challenge. Fortunately,

she solved the problem perfectly, and Brian didn't lose too much.

Felix learned from Stella that Winnie helped the company avoid the loss.

"Grandpa, Winwin has helped the company a lot. If it had not been for her, the company would have

lost not only money, but also its reputation and stock.

Stella said complacently that she was happy that Winnie had solved the

problem.
