Wendy walked out of the villa angrily. As she drove the car out of the gate of the yard, she was
shocked to see the two people standing it the front of her car.
Wendy widened her eyes and thought she was dreaming. Her eyes even blinked again and again and
she confirmed it again and again. When a girl smiled at her like an angel, she was sure that she was
not dreaming and that what she saw was real.
The angel's smile, however, did not infect her, but immediately alarmed her.
She parked the car and ran out quickly.
“What are you doing here?”
Wendy was not surprised, but scared. Even the tone of her voice was alarmed.
“Anna misses you. I have no reason not to bring her here.”
It was Jonny, obviously with a face of evil looking at Penny.
“I thought you couldn't go abroad?”
Wendy was still in shock and wondered how Jonny came to her country, she was unprepared at this
moment.
“How can it be absolute? You think I will never come to your country in my life? That's why you are
surprised to see me?”
Jonny’s evil smile made Wendy panic.
“Yes, it is incredible...”
“Mommy.”
Anna hugged Wendy's thigh and called her with a sweet voice.
Wendy cannot bear such a meeting, but she could refuse her daughter. She stooped down and held
her daughter into her arms.
“Honey, I miss you.”
Wendy suddenly felt the importance of her daughter to her and felt that she had long missed her
daughter.
“Since you miss her, let us in. We haven't booked a hotel, you can't let us sleep on the street.”
Jonny said with disdain and was to walk in the villa carrying a suitcase. At this time Wendy hurriedly got
up and stopped him.
“You can't go in there. Come with me. I'll put you up.”
Wendy could not let Jonny go to her house and could not let him see her family.
Wendy drove Jonny and her daughter to the villa Brian gave her. Wendy knew Jonny was a rogue, if
she did not settle him, she would not have a good day.
“It is splendid. Wendy, you live such a good life but our daughter and I suffer, you are so heartless.”
Jonny was shocked by the luxurious decoration of the villa. He believed it belonged to Wendy, or she
wouldn't have hidden them here.
“It's not mine. It's from a friend. He went abroad after finishing the decoration. He gave me the key and
told me to take care of it.”
Wendy did not admit that the villa was hers, and she could tell Jonny that she had money.
“Your friend has put a lot of faith in you, trusting you with such a fine house. It doesn't feel real to me.”
Jonny said doubtfully. In his opinion, Wendy's family can afford to live in such a nice house.
“Whether you believe it or not, it is up to you. There is nothing to eat here. I will get some.”
Wendy wanted to leave for a while, not to escape, but to relieve some of her shock in an independent
space.
“Don't take this opportunity to run away. If you do, I'll take Anna to your house for dinner. I can find your
house.”
Jonny reminded. He not only could find Wendy's home, but also Wendy's company, Brian’s company
and Winnie.
He'd been here for over a month, and he'd been going through everyone's personal information for
over a month. Finally, he appeared in front of Wendy.
“I won't.”
Wendy gave an answer before she walked out.
She'd run away if she could, away from this scum, the devil.
But he found her home, where could she go? Jonny would not give up.
Wendy was now the most helpless and confused, she felt she was going to break down.
She did not want to give up on Brian, but now Jonny had come to the door. She had no a chance to
breathe for having constant problems.
Wendy could not help but ask herself what her original intention of returning home was and why it
came to this end.
Winnie and Brian had finished talking about the custody of the kids. Two kids temporarily were taken
care by Rufus. It was not that Winnie was busy, nor Rufus forced to leave two kids, but two kids wanted
to live with Rufus.
The smiles on the faces of the two kids were much less since they learned that their parents had
separated. Even a rare smile was not genuine.
They chose to live with their grandfather in the suburbs because they were afraid that their mother
would be tired to take care of them, and they wanted to give their mother free space.
They had their ideas and good arrangement. Regular as usual, they went back to mom's on Saturday
and Sunday to play with their aunt.
It was the end of the month and weekend, it was customary for the two kids to go to the old house with
Brian.
“Great Grandpa wants you to go there early today.”
Brian said to the kids in the living room. As usual, they just went for dinner at night. But it was only
noon today when his grandpa called the two kids.
To Brian’s surprise, both kids refused.
“I won't go.”
“Neither will I.”
The kids gave a firm answer.
“Why?”
Brian hunched down and asked the two kids patiently.
“I don't want to see great grandpa. I don't want to be controlled by him like you.”
He complained great grandpa. But Luke did not directly say that he did not like great grandpa.
Brian was shocked to hear that. He did not have his own idea and ego as the kids.
“Luke, great grandpa won't interfere in your life...”
Brian wanted to enlighten two kids, but he was interrupted by Luke.
“Why not? He's just trying to control my life. He wants me to do what he says like you do. I like software
and computers, but he asked me to study hard and go to the best international school of economic
management. His purpose is obvious enough.”
“Dad, you want to be controlled by grandpa, but I don't. I will live my life the way I want to live it. I will
never be a slave to the Bennet Group.”
Luke’s words not only shocked Brian, but also Rufus, who incredibly looked at Luke. He did not e would
have his own ideas at such a young age and have his own plan.
Had he experienced too much early, or he just said it but did not understand the meaning of it.
“Luke, you are right. Everyone should live their lives, should not be under secular control. But......”
“But why didn't you think so, Dad? Why did you fixate on the Bennet Group and Great Grandpa? If you
had not listened to Great Grandpa, you would not have broken up with Mom.”
Megan interrupted Brian. As usual, her little face was serious and earnest.
Megan continued to ask dad.
“Dad, do you really love Mom? If you do, why can't you do something for mom? If you treat Mom well
early and show her enough sincerity, will she fall in love with someone else?”
As Brian still didn't know how to answer, Luke said in a serious tone.
“So don't blame mom. Even if mom really likes someone else, you gave the guy the chance.”
In the face of the two kids' query and dissatisfaction, Brian was speechless. The kids did not put Winnie
made a mistake as the main reason for the breakup, they saw his negligence to Winnie.
But which was the main reason they broke up?
“Dad, we're not going to great grandpa's, and never again.”
Luke stopped seeing that his dad was speechless and did not feel guilty for his mom. It seemed his
aunt was right. They could not interfere in adult affairs.
Luke pulled Megan upstairs to his room.
“The kids are in a bad mood, so don't push them. I will ask Paul to stay at home with them.”
Rufus was in dilemma, feeling distressed for his son and his grand kids. He didn't know how to comfort
then or who he should comfort.
“Send them to Winnie.”
Brian was sad, but he would not force his kids. The kids wanted to make their own decisions in life, and
he supported them.
“Winwin is not at home. He called me this morning and said she had gone to see Penny. She asked me
to take care of the kids today.”
If it were not for Winnie’s call, Rufus would have sent the two kids to her.
“What? See Penny?”
Brian frowned instantly.
How could she go to see Penny? Didn't she know that Penny regarded her as an enemy?
Without hesitation, Brian took out his cell phone and made a call.
“Ok, I see. You don't have to worry about anything else, just protect Winnie's safety.”
Brian took a sigh of relief after that. He did not know that Winnie could be so kind. Penny was clearly
faking illness, must Winnie cooperate with her?
The kids did not go to the suburbs, so Brian had to go alone with his father. They were gonna have
lunch there and be back, as the family union in this month.
In the old house, Felix waited with joy but became disappointed when he did not see the kids.
“Why didn't Megan and Luke come?”
Felix asked in a solemn voice, his eyes full of incomprehensible inquiries.
“They... They have classes at this hour and can't come until the evening.”
Brian answered with hesitation. At first he wanted to tell the truth, but he was afraid of hurting his
grandfather, so he could only find an excuse.
“Oh.”
Felix was dubious and didn't believe it completely because Brian didn't answer fluently.
“Brian, when will Jack be transferred back?”
Thomas opened his mouth.
“We'll see what he does, but he's doing well in the branch. I think it suits him out there.”
Brian answered coldly and was not warm as Winnie was there.
