Winnie wanted Stefan to completely give up. Even if he could not now, he had to know the facts.
"I'm sad to hear that, Winwin, but I understand how you feel and the burden of your so-called gap."
"Don’t worry, we are still friends, and I will not pester you. And, of course, I hope you still think of me as
a friend."
Stefan could only be friends with Winnie as she required.
Winnie smiled happily. She let out a long sigh, releasing all the depression she had had.
"Of course we are friends. I like making friends. You are still my best friend."
After the release of repression, Winnie said in a relaxing tone.
It was good that Stefan gave up on Winnie, from now on, she did not have to worry about it. The most
important thing was that she had him as a friend again, so she could turn to him for help when she was
in trouble.
After spending an afternoon with Vanessa, Winnie got dressed and was ready to leave carrying her
bag.
Winnie refused Vanessa to send her to the airport and decided to drive to the airport.
However, in the underground parking lot, she found Brian’s car was next to hers. She was at a lost and
did not know what to do.
"What are you doing here?"
Winnie whispered.
"I will see you off."
Brian answered. He had been waiting for nearly an hour, to see her off, to talk to her, because he did
not want her to leave.
"No, thank you. I'll drive there. It'll be easy for me to come back."
Winnie still refused, even if Brian had here, even if he looked sincere. Winnie dare not trouble irrelevant
people, especially Brian who was a big figure.
"I'll pick you up when you come back."
Brian said. He would like to pick her up every time she came back, and even wanted to follow her.
It was not a happy day. He really did not want Winnie to leave unhappily, or he would be worried.
"No, thanks, I..."
Winnie still refused, but before she finished, Brian forced to take her hand.
"Brian, I really... I can go to the airport myself."
Winnie refused with embarrassment, but Brian seemed not hear her and had been pulling her to his
car.
"Brian, I will fly away and come back many times in my life. Can you pick me up every time? If you
can’t, don’t ever do it."
Winnie increased her voice. She hated that Brian forced himself to do things that he could not do. He
didn't love her, why did he have to prove it to everyone? Didn't he know it made her embarrassed?
He couldn't see her off every time and pick her up every time. Didn't he know she would rely on him
and wanted him to pick her up for a lifetime? Didn’t he know she would be disappointed if he failed to
do so?
"I can pick you up for a lifetime, I promise."
Brian had determination and confidence. As long as Winnie wanted, he could be her full-time driver or
secretary for a lifetime.
"You liar, you never once fulfilled your promise. Don't lie to me again. I won't believe you anymore."
Winnie elaborated on the fact in a calm mood. It was true that Brian deceived her and disappointed her
again and again.
It was true that she was tortured by such deceit and disappointment and she chose not to trust him.
Since it had become a fact, Winnie did not want to trust him again.
"I'm sorry I didn't give you enough credit. It's my fault. I didn't do it right. Get in the car first, and we'll
talk about it on the way."
Brian was afraid she would be late for boarding, afraid she would be anxious, so he could only admit
his mistake and let Winnie first get in the car.
Winnie was persistent not to get into Brian’s car, not wanting Brian to send her.
"I am not Wendy, and I don't need your help as much as Wendy. I have my own car and I can drive. I
can get myself to the airport by myself, I don’t need you send me there."
Winnie shook off Brian's hand and walked toward her car. Brian hurried to follow her and stopped her
again.
"Winwin, I'll drive. I'll send you there with your car, ok? I'll leave your car at the airport and take a cab
back."
Brian compromised, but Winnie still refused.
"No, please go away."
"Winwin, if so, we will spend time here. If you are late, you can leave tomorrow, and if you still refused
me to send you to the airport tomorrow, you will leave the day after tomorrow, until......"
"You are a rascal."
Winnie realized that there was not so much time left, if she was delayed, she would have to change the
flight.
Winnie glowered at Brian and then gave her car key to Brian.
At the moment Brian realized that though Winnie was stubborn, if he was more stubborn than her, she
would be obedient. Just as when they first met, her stubbornness often succumbed to his bullying and
dominance.
On the way to the airport, Brian wanted to explain things about Wendy, but Winnie had been on the
phone since she got into the car, so he got no chance to speak.
"Well, I'm on my way to the airport right now. There's no chance for you to see me off."
Winnie chatted with Stefan over the phone with a phone.
"I will be there in a couple of days. My franchisee is in C City. I have to go there and see where it is and
how big it is. I'll call you when I get there."
Stefan was happy, although Winnie was to leave, she was not avoiding him anymore.
"Yes, I'll be expecting you."
"Well, see you then."
Winnie hung up the phone, it was not until then Brian had a chance to speak.
"Winwin, today..."
After saying such a few words, Brian saw from the rearview mirror Winnie put her phone on her ear
again, Brian had to stop.
Moments later, Winnie's phone connected.
"Finn. Just so you know, I'll be boarding soon. Leave me a message if you need anything and I'll call
you back when I land."
Brian didn't know what she was talking about, but he was sensitive to the name.
"It should not be a big deal. I will try not to affect you during this period of time so that you can
concentrate on your study. By the way, I hear your class is going to be extended by half a month to a
month. An activity was organized by the school, they will take student representatives to each province
and city units to investigate and learn. If you want to, you can sign up, if you don't, you can come back
at the end of the semester."
Finn told Winnie to news, so that she got more time to think it over, wanted her to relax and became an
optimistic person when she came back.
"I'm in."
Winnie made her decision without hesitation, now she got nothing to worry about. Now she only wanted
to think for herself and stay away as far as possible from Brian.
"Then arrange your own affairs and sign up in the school."
Finn guessed Winnie would sigh up. Although she had broken up with Brian for half a year, she never
forgot Brian, and Brian was possessive of her.
She would have signed up to avoid Brian.
"I have nothing to arrange. I'm just worried about my sister, but I've already communicated with her
teachers and my two friends. They will take care of her."
Winnie said that deliberately to Brian. She wanted Brian to know that she had no concerns and the only
person she cared about had someone to look after.
"I can take care of her too, you can rest assured to study. If you feel uneasy, let your sister live in my
home. My parents can take care of her."
Finn volunteered, hoping Winnie had nothing to worry about.
"Thank you, but it's too much trouble to your parents. I'll let her live at school. I may trouble you if
anything happens to her, and you can help me then."
Winnie was touched, feeling that she was cared by friends. All of them would help her and trust her.
Only Brian had doubts about everything she did.
"No problem, you can rest assured to study."
Finn was willing to back up Winnie, so that she could focus on study and would not have any worries,
including relationships.
Winnie hung up her phone and felt relaxed, because her sister had one more person to take care of
her.
"Winwin, I can take care of Vanessa, you just need to focus on your study."
Brian heard Winnie's call. She put everything well arranged, entrusted everything to others, but not
him.
Brian felt upset. He wanted Winnie to trust him, so that she would have no worries.
But it wasn't him. It was anyone but him.
She trusted Daenerys and Emily, trusted Leo and Oscar, and even trusted Stefan and Finn, but she did
not trust him.
