Winnie was really tired and sleepy. After lying down, she had fallen asleep before Oscar finished his
order.
Oscar wanted Winnie to have more sleep, so he stopped ordering takeout.
He has been guarding Winnie in the ward, watching her got infusion.
Winnie slept until the night and did not wake up when she felt hungry. At this time Oscar had gone and
her infusion had finished.
"You are up, I have the nurse got porridge for you."
Kevin said with Winnie's dinner in his hand.
"I am hungry."
The porridge, which she didn’t like to eat at ordinary times, now smelt sweeter than meat.
Winnie took the dinner in Kevin’s hand and began to eat.
"Aren't you off duty?"
Winnie asked Kevin while eating.
"No, I have a colleague who has to change shifts with me. I'll take his shift tonight.”
In fact, Kevin had been off work, but Brian told him to take care of Winnie. He could only find an excuse
to fend off the two women at home and at the hospital, or else he would be caught.
"Oh, when did Oscar leave?"
Winnie continued.
"After your confusion."
"Eat slowly, call me if you need me."
With that, Kevin was to leave, but was stopped by Winnie.
"Are you busy right now?”
Winnie asked.
"No."
"Sit down and let’s talk."
Winnie motioned to Kevin to sit on the bed, but Kevin had been sitting, now needed to stand for a
while. So he went to the window, put his hands in the pockets of his white coat, and stood against the
windowsill.
"I'm tired of sitting, I need to stand for a while. Say what you want."
Kevin thought Winnie was to talk about the reason for the chaos today, but he was wrong.
"Talk about Wendy and Brian."
"Stella told me that Wendy was not the girl who saved Brian. Do you know who that girl was?"
Winnie was not trying to find out what the meaning of the girl to Brian, no matter what the position of
the girl in Brian's heart was, it had nothing to do with her.
She wanted to know it because she wanted to expose Wendy. She wanted Wendy to realize that what
she had done was wrong.
"I don't know who the girl was, but it was definitely not Wendy."
Kevin believed in Winnie, so he didn't hesitate to answer.
Then he talked briefly about it.
"When Brian first got together with Wendy, he thought she was that girl, but when he got to know her,
he felt it was wrong, so he started looking for that girl again."
"It took her a long time, but he found her. When he called me from abroad, he said that he had found
that girl and that Wendy was not that girl. But he didn't give the basic details of that girl."
At this, Kevin could not help sighing.
"No one can resist fate. If it is supposed to be imperfect, you can’t overcome it. Just when Brian went to
see that girl, there was a sudden emergency in the company. He didn't see the girl but hurried back."
"And it was unlucky that he got amnesia in a car accident, that girl was completely forgotten by him."
If not the fate, he had seen that girl, Wendy would not have been involved.
"Why Stella stop be from divulging this fact?"
Winnie continued to ask.
"Because Stella didn't want Brian to think of the accident."
Kevin had never mention these to Daenerys, but he mentioned it to Winnie, because he thought Winnie
had the right to know about Brian's past.
He continued.
"That car accident should be caused by Thomas."
Hearing that, Winnie was shocked, she did not understand why.
"Uncle Thomas?"
Winnie asked in shock.
"Yes, it was indeed Brian's uncle. Thomas and Brian became opposites because they fought for the
dominant power of the Bennet Group. In order to let Thomas down from the position of the person in
charge of the Bennet Group, Brian collected a lot of evidence about the improper management of
Uncle Thomas."
"He collected all this evidence before he could expose and he had the accident abroad. He wasn't hurt
in the crash but his evidence was gone."
Kevin told Winnie what he knew. He paused and was to go on, but Winnie asked a question at this
time.
"Why did he have to fight for management rights? Was it his ambition that controlled him?"
Winnie asked, but she understood when she thought of that Brian had been devoted to the Bennet
Group.
Perhaps he was a man who valued power and status above all else. Just like the ancient imperial
house, who wouldn't want to have the throne that can give a man everything?
"One reason was that during the period of Thomas's management, the Bennet Group started to go
downhill. And Thomas did something opportunistic. What he didn't realize was that the more
opportunistic he was, the faster the descent was."
"There was another reason..."
Kevin sighed, hesitated for a moment, butt finally said it out.
"The other reason was that Brian wanted revenge, so he must be in power."
In fact, Kevin knew that the second reason was the most important. He would not have been so
obsessed with being president of the Bennet Group had it not been for hatred.
“Because of hatred?”
Winnie found that she did not know Brian. Did he fight for power with his family because of hatred?
"His mother’s death had a great effect on Brian. When his mother died, he changed."
"He studied like crazy. He was moody and cranky all day. He suddenly became cold-blooded and filled
with hatred for the whole world.
"After studying abroad, he was arranged by his grandfather to work at the Bennet Group. He had
accumulated experience from the bottom bit by bit, laying his position. During that period of time, he
learned about some major loopholes in Thomas's management of The Bennet Group."
"He initially approached his grandfather about taking over, but his grandfather refused, citing his youth
and inexperience. But it was known by Thomas, and then the two of them began to have fight secretly."
"Things became more and more serious, Thomas did harm to Brian more than once, but Brian did not
give up. Their infighting went on for years."
"Finally, Felix gave the position of the ruler of the Bennet Group because Brian had a son."
Kevin said the whole thing in detail. He felt it was of great help for Winnie to get to know Brian.
"For hatred? He has come all these years to hate?"
Winnie had nothing to say.
It was the most specific she had ever heard about Brian's past. To tell the truth, she felt sorry for Brian,
who made hatred all his life.
It was his hatred that made his solution so extreme.
Winnie sighed and felt herself and kids sad in front of Brian's hatred.
"He has made hatred his whole life. Even though he lost his memory, he still wanted to avenge his
mother subconsciously and was trying to hold on to his position. He thought it was the only place where
he could feel safe, the only place where he could avenge his mother."
"Am I right?”
Winnie said what she thought, Kevin felt it was right and it showed that Winnie understood Brian well.
"Yes, you're right. If there's any uncertainty in his world, he doesn't feel safe, he has to figure it out. In
fact, it was a disease. Like the girl he remembers who saved him, he has to find her and figure
everything out so he can be at peace."
Kevin explained.
Winnie realized that not only the girl, but also she and Stefan made him uneasy.
Brian's unease might be caused by his mother's death, but Winnie felt that Brian did not trust her.
Since he felt uneasy, he should find a way out himself. She had told him what he wanted to hear, and
Brian might never find a sense of security from her.
Winnie wanted to target Wendy and did not make Brian take occupation in her mind.
"Stella didn't want to talk about Wendy because she was afraid he would think of all this, and then
Thomas..."
"Yes, you're right."
Before Winnie could finish, Kevin knew what she wanted to say, so he answered in the affirmative.
"To be exact, Stella was worried about Brian. She was afraid that Brian would be entangled with
Thomas and that Brian would devote all his resources, even his own life."
His words shocked Winnie.
"Will he risk his own life? Will he go to great lengths regardless of his family's feelings?"
Winnie asked, not wanting to hear a positive answer. If Brian really had such thought, Winnie felt that it
was not right.
"It is not up to him, Thomas will do whatever it takes, and Brian will never admit defeat."
Kevin knew Brian's temper, but also knew Thomas would persist.
As long as they began the fight, neither of them would give in.
Kevin changed a stand posture and then continued to say.
"Stella said, now her family is in rare peace and harmony. She does not want it to happen again, does
not want Thomas and Brian fight again, so she doesn’t want Brian know the truth about Wendy."
Kevin put the exact idea of Stella to Winnie, hoping that Winnie could understand more Stella.
"But it can’t be hidden for long, once Brian has back his memory, it will happen again."
