The Medallion Chapter 1247 Reveal His Plan

Even as he spoke, black runes continued to stream from Humphrey's hands, spreading over the

surface of the giant egg and attempting to penetrate the shell.

There was a look of complacency in Humphrey's ferocious eyes.

He let out a roar of laughter,

which echoed wildly throughout the space.

Austin watched the egg. It was emitting enormous amounts of energy and law power, resisting the

attempts of the black runes to infiltrate it.

The fierce clash of energy between the giant egg and the probing runes caused the platform in the air

to shake violently.

It was clear that the egg did not intend to surrender without a fight.

After all, the members of the chaotic sky-devouring beast race had been proud and self-respecting.

It was said that a chaotic sky-devouring beast even dared provoke a god of chaos.

Now, although the egg was besieged, it would not meekly allow itself to be devoured.

Austin inched closer, and heard indistinct sounds coming from the giant egg.

'I must stop Humphrey,' he thought.

'If I just stand by and watch him successfully devour this giant egg, there would be a sharp and

immediate increase in his level of strength.

At that point, I would lose any chance I have to defeat him.'

With that, Austin immediately took action.

He focused, and launched his first attack:

the fearsome Mind Sword Skill.

Silently, a rain of invisible mind swords sliced one after another into Humphrey's body.

Austin's cultivation base of mind power was incredibly strong. Given his current power, even a

governing god would be unable to withstand the attack he had unleashed using the Mind Sword Skill.

Humphrey was relaxed, all his attention on the huge egg.

He continuously used his secret skill to try to devour it. Despite the egg's resistance, he was certain he

would infiltrate the egg sooner or later.

As far as Humphrey knew, there was no one else in this area except for himself and the chaotic sky-

devouring beast egg. They were alone in this space.

Thus, he ignored everything around him as he concentrated on dealing with the egg.

He was entirely unaware of Austin's presence.

Every now and then he paused and let out a bark of laughter,

for he was very pleased with this turn of events.

He felt a growing sense of anticipation and excitement. Once he succeeded in devouring this giant egg,

his strength would increase hundredfold, or maybe even thousandfold.

It would be extremely beneficial to his development.

He was confident that after he devoured the chaotic sky-devouring beast egg, half of his injuries would

quickly heal.

Humphrey thought that, with the aid of this egg, he would be able to return to his peak state in the

future.

But he was celebrating too soon.

Right at that moment, as he congratulated himself on his triumph,

he felt the sting of thousands of mind swords piercing his body.

Simultaneously, Austin flashed forward,

appearing behind Humphrey in less than a second.

Austin and his two avatars arrived at the same time.

Together, they roared,

"Go to hell!"

Their deep, rumbling voices shook the fabric of the space.

With blinding speed,

they began executing a series of moves, displaying a seemingly infinite variety of secret martial arts

skills.

They used the Omnipotent Bodily Skill, the secret spiritual soul skills, the energy of swordsmanship,

the law of time, the law of space, and the law of reincarnation, among others.

This barrage of energy and laws crashed into Humphrey without warning, like a great river that battered

him ceaselessly.

Austin soon switched his focus to the Reincarnation Sword Skill,

a technique composed of nine moves,

which could send time and space into chaos.

His every move was swift and terrifying.

Booms resounded in the void as Humphrey was overwhelmed by the attacks.

A massive amount of energy, laws, and sword-light swept over him before he could defend himself.

Humphrey was outraged and bewildered at the same time. He had believed he was safe alone in this

empty space, and had never expected such a powerful opponent to appear out of nowhere and attack

him.

Energy crackled and exploded,

as Humphrey was thrown backwards by the force of the attacks.

Humphrey let out a scream,

feeling a surge of pain in his body.

Blood gushed out from numerous wounds as his skin was sliced and pierced.

Some of the attacks cut so deep into his flesh that bone could be seen through the torn muscle.

He groaned in agony.

More and more blood spilled from his body.

And it was not over yet.

With an earsplitting crack, Humphrey's left arm was torn off.

He screamed again as, with another crack, his other arm was ripped away, sent flying into the distance.

He stumbled backwards, armless,

and with a bang,

he went flying out of the platform.

Humphrey caught a glimpse of his attacker. "Austin!"

he bellowed. "It's you!

How is this possible?

How could you be here?

Why are you doing this to me?"

He let out another groan of agony. "How is this possible?" he repeated. "I can't believe it!

You despicable creature!"

Humphrey had been thrown out of the platform, but he quickly steadied his injured body, floating in the

air and staring at Austin with hatred and resentment in his eyes.

The ragged stumps on his shoulders trembled as he grew out new arms.

Because Humphrey had the body of a chaotic sky-devouring beast, he had incredible defensive

abilities.

The rapid wave of attacks had hurt him,

but it was virtually impossible to kill him.

Indeed, Austin had inflicted only moderate injuries upon Humphrey—enough to cause him great pain,

but not enough to seriously or permanently damage his body.

Humphrey was furious.

"Austin, you deserve to die!" he roared angrily,

his voice echoing towards the sky. He was infuriated at Austin's sneak attack and determined to get his

revenge.

A strong aura began emanating from Humphrey,

and tremors rippled across the void.

With startling speed,

Humphrey's body began to expand and deform.

In an instant, he had grown into a giant,

and taken on the form of a beast.

He opened his massive, cavernous mouth, and it looked as vast and terrifying as a bloody sky.

'Is this the chaotic sky-devouring beast egg?' Austin thought,

his gaze falling on the giant egg.

Standing this close to the egg, he could appreciate the enormity of its size.

He felt like a dwarf next to the giant egg.

So this was the egg of the chaotic sky-devouring beast, a legendary fearsome beast!

Austin hadn't expected to find not one but two chaotic sky-devouring beast eggs on this platform.

Nearby, he could see the scattered pieces of broken eggshells. These fragments had lost their

spirituality.

Austin realized that they were the remnants of the egg that had been devoured by Humphrey.

To his astonishment, a spiritual sense message suddenly flowed out of the huge egg, and a voice

spoke up in Austin's Soul Sea.

"Save me."

Austin was stunned.

"You want me to save you?" he said to the egg.

He was surprised to discover that this giant egg already contained a consciousness that could

communicate.

If that was the case, then it wouldn't be long before the chaotic sky-devouring beast hatched from the

egg.

"How can I save you?" he asked, even as Humphrey's enormous, beast-shaped shadow loomed over

them.

If there was a chance to save the chaotic sky-devouring beast, of course Austin was determined to try.

He couldn't bear the thought of leaving the baby beast to be devoured by Humphrey.

"Just take me away!" said the voice immediately.

The tone of the message was joyous and relived, for the beast in the egg was glad to learn that Austin

was willing to save it.

Instantly, the egg rose into the air,

and floated towards Austin.

"Stop!" bellowed Humphrey.

"This giant egg belongs to me. If you dare steal it, I will not stop until I destroy you!"

Humphrey's rage increased as he realized that Austin had formed some kind of connection with the

egg.

He flew forward,

soaring towards the platform at an impressive speed,

until his giant beast form was the only thing Austin could see.

But Austin was not afraid.

Instead, he chuckled.

"Humphrey, regardless of what happens to this egg, you will have to try to destroy me anyway—

because I will never stop trying to destroy you!" he shouted back.
