The Medallion Chapter 1837 Rocky's Plan

Prev Chapter Next Chapter

The army of the Shura Race, led by Zain, began to launch an all-out attack on the human race's front

lines, intending to break through their defenses in one go.

Try as they might, the human race eventually succumbed to the enemy's offensive due to the sheer

disparity of their strength and numbers.

It only took a few days before half of the human army's defenses were trampled to the ground, and the

speed at which they were losing was still increasing.

At the same time, after marching for days, Rocky's independent army finally reached the border of the

Shura Race.

But naturally, they were met with the fortified defenses of the Shura Race's army. It would be a

daunting task for them to get in.

Of course, Rocky came prepared. He managed to obtain the location of where the troops of the Shura

Race were stationed and easily found a spot where they could sneak in through a narrow gap in the

army's defenses. From there, they could make it to the Blood Fief.

Since the Blood Fief withdrew from the contest after their Godly Genius was killed by Israel, the other

eight fiefs wouldn't bat an eye if Rocky captured the fief.

But even without a Godly Genius by their side, the Blood Fief was still a formidable foe that controlled a

vast territory. If Rocky and his army wanted any hope of capturing it, they would surely need the help of

the Ghost Fief.

Therefore, before enacting his plan, Rocky ordered his army to station outside the border and to

capture any spy that might reveal information about their presence.

After that, he restored the appearance of Odin and returned to the Ghost Fief.

The first thing he did as soon as he arrived at the Ghost Fief was to look for Valeria.

Since he left the Shura Race under the excuse of wanting to cultivate with Valeria in seclusion, he

needed to be with her if he wanted to return in order to not raise suspicion.

After Rocky left her, Valeria took the time to cultivate in seclusion herself.

"Hey! You're back!" Valeria was overjoyed to see him return much earlier than she had expected.

"Yes. How are you doing, Valeria?" Rocky asked with his signature smile.

"I just made most of my time cultivate. Nothing new," Valeria answered casually, catching herself from

becoming too excited. Although she did spend most of her time training, she still missed Rocky a lot.

"Why did you come back so soon? Aren't you helping the human race fight against the Shura Race?"

"I actually just blocked the spearhead of the Shura Race. But we'll never be able to deal with the major

army." Rocky shook his head.

"Then why did you return to the human race in the first place? You knew what you were getting into."

Valeria glared at him.

"I have plans of my own. Anyway, we're going to meet Leader Gilbert. I have a big gift waiting for him."

Rocky shifted the topic.

"Okay." Valeria still couldn't figure out what was going on in Rocky's mind. She wanted to ask him, but

she knew it was better if she just went along with it. After all, everything should be fine as long as he

was well.

After that, the two of them came out of their seclusion together and immediately went to see Gilbert.

Gilbert greeted them with a smile from ear to ear when he saw the two.

"You two's strength seems to have improved greatly!" Gilbert said with a satisfied look.

"Leader Gilbert, while we were cultivating, we thought that it would be a great idea that the Ghost Fief

takes advantage of the current situation," Rocky said. He didn't beat around the bush and went straight

to the point.

"What do you mean?" The leader looked at him with a frown.

"It's better if we talk about it in private," Rocky said and gave a hint.

Without asking questions, Gilbert dismissed everyone else in the room, leaving the three of them

behind.

"Odin, just say it," Gilbert said.

"As soon as I finished my cultivation, a spy I sent to the human race told me that a secret army of theirs

has arrived at the border of the Shura Race." Rocky once again went straight to the point.

This plan of his was a huge gamble. If he couldn't persuade Gilbert, the latter would definitely report it

to the royal family. The life of everyone in his army was riding on his shoulders at that exact moment.

"What? Really?" Gilbert was shocked to hear this.

"Yes. I can attest that this is true!" Rocky tried his best to persuade the leader.

"How rash of them! They actually want to launch a surprise attack at the Shura Race. I have to report

this immediately to the royal army!" Flustered, Gilbert immediately stood up and made his way to the

door before Rocky stopped him.

"Leader, calm down. Although the humans are quite bold, this is a great opportunity for us! We can

maybe kill two, even three birds with one stone!" Rocky said as he cupped his hands.

"Really? Tell me more!" Gilbert's eyes shone with amazement when he heard this.

"I personally know the commander in chief of the human army from my time there. After receiving the

news, I immediately went to him and he told me that the reason why they are going to attack the Shura

Race is to distract Prince Zain so that he will give up attacking the human race," Rocky explained.

"How will that benefit us?" Gilbert was eager to know how he'd profit from the situation.

"If he succeeds in conquering the fief, he's willing to hand it over to us!" Rocky said.

"Really?" A hint of temptation was heard in the leader's voice.

"Of course, that would only be one of the benefits. If Prince Zain stops attacking the human race, his

plan will surely fail, which will also be beneficial to Princess Layla. Besides, the Blood Fief, the Flower

Fief and our Ghost Fief are connected. If we get the Blood Fief, we will become much stronger." Rocky

continued to shower the leader with one temptation after the other.

But still, Gilbert hesitated and was in deep thought.

"The condition of the human race is very simple. We just have to help them," Rocky added.

"Well, how should we assist the human army?" Of course, Gilbert wanted to confirm if this plan was

feasible.

"It's very simple. We will convince the Blood Fief to attack the Primitive Fief together with us, leaving

their territory with little to no troops left to defend. From there, the human army will do all the work and

conquer them," Rocky said.

"Are you sure this human commander in chief can be trusted?" Gilbert asked worriedly.

"I'm willing to pledge for him as the Godly Genius," Rocky vowed solemnly. Of course, he was confident

since he himself was the said commander in chief of the human army.

"Well, since it's good for us, it's worth taking a risk. I'll go to the Blood Fief now and have a talk with

their leader!" Gilbert finally agreed. Even he couldn't overlook that this was indeed a great opportunity

to strengthen the Ghost Fief. Even if everything went astray, he wouldn't be the one to suffer any losses

since it was the human race that was going to fight against the Blood Fief. But if the plan succeeded,

they could even be more powerful than the Primitive Fief. His mouth began to water at the thought of

this.

"Thank you, sir." Rocky secretly breathed out a sigh of relief as he nodded.

Soon, Gilbert left and went to the Blood Fief.
