"Even if they are not there, we must go and look around. This task was personally assigned to us by

the governor and cannot be ignored." Ramon insisted on following the bigoted course.

"If you insist, then I can't stop you. I'll give you the topographic map. How many people have you

brought with you?" Tyson asked after hesitating for a while.

"Just the two of us," Ramon replied.

"What? Just you two. Stop screwing around. The Purple Demonic Zone is extremely dangerous and

even a strong warrior at the King Realm needs to think twice before venturing inside. It's too dangerous

for you two to enter it alone." Tyson's face changed dramatically when he heard the risky plan.

"Don't worry, Tyson. We can take care of ourselves," Ramon replied, neither anxious nor impatient.

"No, no. If you really want to go there, then how about I go with you as well? One more person, one

more helper, eh?" Tyson offered, still shaking his head.

"It's kind of you to offer, but you're in charge of the sentry here. If you come with us and some important

news comes behind you that needs the sentry, it will be delayed. Don't worry about us. You should stay

here," Ramon refused cautiously.

"Well. I really can't do anything to stop you. In any case, if something happens, let me know

immediately and I'll bring warriors to support you." Tyson finally had to give in.

Ramon nodded immediately.

Shaking his head, Tyson went to find the map. It took him a couple of minutes to do so and then he

handed it over to Ramon.

"Let's go," Ramon said to Rocky without hesitation after nodding at Tyson in gratitude.

The duo left the post house and continued towards the Purple Demonic Zone.

In fact, the entrance to the zone was near the post house they had just visited. However, demonized

wild beasts ran everywhere inside the zone. These beasts were different from the diabolic spiritual

beasts. They were highly ferocious and could not be tamed, which made them more dangerous than

ordinary spiritual beasts. Therefore, no spirit warrior ever dared to enter the zone without being

prepared well.

Soon, Rocky and Ramon arrived at the entrance. Two utterly different worlds were situated on two

sides of the entrance, which itself was shrouded in a dark mist. The plants and trees had all dried up

near it and an aura of death pervaded the air.

"Why is this place so creepy and full of demonic auras?" Rocky asked curiously.

"I don't know exactly, but rumor has it that the Purple Demonic Zone was one of the battlefields of the

Shura Race thousands of years ago. Countless members of the Shura Race fell in that battle and were

then turned into ghosts. Those ghosts are still said to wander the zone and therefore, it is completely

demonized. Centuries of such horrific situation and all the beasts within it got transformed into

ferocious demonic beasts."

"I see. But this is a good place to hide anyway," Rocky nodded.

"If we can find the stronghold of the Robber Regiment and kill them all this time, it will be an extremely

important accomplishment for the Sword Spirit City and the surrounding sects and clans. I think it'd be

best that we act cautiously and not alert the enemy," Ramon said.

The two of them flew simultaneously and entered the Purple Demonic Zone.

Just as Ramon had said, this zone was indeed extremely dangerous. Not long after the two of them

entered, they encountered a group of demonic beasts at the fifth or sixth grade of the Spirit Realm.

Fortunately, they were both at the King Realm now, so they killed this pack of beasts without much

effort.

"Let's move on," Ramon said.

"Hang on. Let me clean up these corpses first." Rocky seemed very relaxed. He quickly brought out his

Frozen Wind Dagger and began collecting something from the bodies of the demonic beasts.

"Why do you collect these things? What do you do with them?" Ramon was confused since the

humans of the Ethereal Region didn't usually collect beast treasures.

"You don't understand. These are demonic beasts, so these materials are more precious than the ones

I get off spiritual beasts. They can be worth a lot of money if they are taken to the market," Rocky

replied.

"Let me remind you that these kinds of things can't be sold in the Ethereal Region." Ramon frowned.

"Who said anything about the Ethereal Region?" Rocky smiled.

Ramon fell into silence. A moment later, he urged again, "Hurry up. These corpses will soon attract

other demonic beasts."

"Don't worry. I'm better at escaping than you think..." Rocky teased.

Ramon rolled his eyes.

However, Rocky did quicken his movements and began to loot the corpses of the beasts as fast as he

could. When he was done, they continued their venture deep into the Purple Demonic Zone.

Although the two of them were quite cautious on their way, they still encountered a few demonic beasts

from time to time. Fortunately, the ones that came in their way weren't particularly powerful ones, and

with their strength, they were able to deal with them easily.

It took them about two days' worth of searching but finally, the duo found the stronghold of the Robber

Regiment. A purple river like a swamp flew alongside a building like a fortress, standing majestically as

well as ubiquitously. Because of the dense forest around it, the building was secluded from view but still

seemed out-of-place.

"I didn't expect the stronghold of the Robber Regiment to be situated here," Ramon muttered softly.

"Hmm... In any case, we have completed our task. Let's go back now," Rocky responded indifferently.

"Wait, we need to figure out how many robbers are there in the Robber Regiment. If we get outmatched

in number, we won't be able to uproot their establishment." Ramon held up his hand.

"That won't be easy. I'm afraid we'll have to sneak into the stronghold to do that," Rocky answered,

crossing his arms over his chest.

"Wait for me here. I'll sneak in alone," Ramon ordered after thinking for a while. He was experienced in

these kinds of tasks, so he decided to act alone. It seemed more suitable.

"The stronghold looks enormous. You won't be able to investigate it alone. The longer you stay inside,

the higher will be your chances of being discovered. Why don't you go in from the east, and I'll go in

from the west? We'll meet up in the middle." Rocky pointed at a tower in the center of the building.

"All right."

The decision was made, and the duo parted ways.

Since Rocky had experienced hundreds of battles and directed thousands of troops in the Wild Spirit

Land, it was simple for him to sneak into buildings like the one in front of him. He successfully made his

way inside soon after the duo separated.

As soon as he entered the stronghold, he saw a group of people from the Robber Regiment patrolling

the area. He immediately hid in the dark. Once the group had gone far, he reappeared and began to

observe his surroundings.
