At that time, Marcia, who had just heard the news, suddenly rushed in, wearing a serious expression

on her face. She heard the conversation between Rocky and Colton, and she was obviously taken by

surprise.

"Marcia..." Rocky immediately looked at her. From the look in her eyes, he could guess that she must

have heard everything.

"You don't have to say anything. I know you and I know what you're thinking. However, I can't let

Sabina and the others take such a huge risk with you. Hence, I want them and the commander in chief

to leave this place first. Then, I will go with you to rescue Alyssa." Without any hesitation, Marcia told

what was in her mind.

"No, I have to go there alone. Our enemies have let us go directly to the portal that leads to the alien

world. It means that they already know what we are planning. If that is the case, then I cannot let you

go with me. It is going to be very dangerous," Rocky sternly refused.

"Call me stubborn or selfish, but I also can't let you take the risk alone!" Marcia retorted as she fixed

her eyes on Rocky.

"Calm down. There is no point in arguing within ourselves. Whether Basil will go, or both of you will go,

the task remains very dangerous. They have taken Alyssa as their hostage, so they should not do

anything to harm her for the time being. Let's cool our heads first and consider everything so that we

could figure out the best plan to handle this," Colton said as he interfered.

Rocky and Marcia nodded but looked rather dejected. Both of them knew that once they went and

confronted the Shura Race, there was a slim chance for them to return. However, no matter what

happened, they could never abandon Alyssa.

Just as the three of them fell silent for a while, a disciple of the Di Clan suddenly rushed in and lowered

his head in front of Colton. "Commander in Chief Di, something terrible happened in the Di Clan!"

"What is it?" Colton asked with a serious expression.

"Our chief has been killed," the disciple quickly uttered.

"What did you say?!" Colton was extremely shocked that his body began to tremble. His usually

resolute and calm face instantly showed that he was at a loss.

Even Rocky and Marcia were taken aback at that.

"But who on earth would have killed him? The master of the Di Clan has an unparalleled cultivation

base," Rocky asked in confusion.

"Actually, before the chief was killed, he went and met with Canaan, the young master of the Sky-

suppressing Mansion. Right after that, the hall where they met was razed to the ground. When the chief

was found, he was already dead," the disciple of the Di Clan explained.

"Canaan? It seems that there was really something suspicious with him back then..." Rocky concluded

upon hearing what the disciple reported.

"Why do you say so? What did you find out?" Colton asked with furrowed brows as he stared at Rocky.

Then, Rocky told them that before, he already suspected that Canaan's behavior had been shady

when he tried to discover the traitor.

"Why are you only telling such an important thing right now?" Colton's tone immediately turned cold.

"Because there was not enough evidence to accuse him. Canaan is the young master of the Sky-

suppressing Mansion. So, unless I have sufficient proof, he would be untouchable," Rocky answered in

a gloomy voice. He didn't expect that his negligence before would cause the death of the chief of the Di

Clan.

"I can only suspect that Canaan discovered our plans from the chief of the Di Clan, and he colluded

with the Shura Race by revealing our whereabouts. Because of that, they got their hands on Alyssa,"

Marcia analyzed and concluded after connecting every detail.

"I only thought that Canaan was a troublesome fellow, but I didn't expect that he would actually collude

with the Shura Race," Rocky said through gritted teeth.

"If what Marcia said is true, then Canaan is most likely with the Shura Race right now. Once I found out

that he really is the main culprit, I shall kill him myself. I will cut off his head and bring it to the tomb of

the chief!" Colton shouted in rage and frustration.

'Commander in Chief Di...' Rocky and Marcia could just look at Colton and keep quiet, knowing that he

was the most infuriated one due to the grim news.

"Basil, how confident are you that you can open the door to the alien world?" Colton asked out of

nowhere.

"If the power of the Star Beast Ring is as powerful as what Harlan said, then opening the door should

not be a problem," Rocky replied firmly.

"I have to make the person who killed our chief pay a huge price for his crimes, so I have decided to

order the guards to accompany you to the door to the alien world. I will also be there and cover for you

when you open the door," Colton remarked with a fiery determination in his eyes.

"It is not that simple. The Shura Race will most probably be waiting for us there to ambush us. Once

the guards enter the Demon Valley, their lives will just be wasted!" Rocky immediately disagreed with

Colton's risky plan. It was not a problem for him to take the risk alone, but it will be a totally different

situation if the guard army would be there to act as his shield.

"I have complete trust in you that you get us through the Demon Valley safely." Colton stared at Rocky,

and his eyes did not seem to have any shred of hesitation.

At the same time, Rocky felt reluctant so he turned to Marcia.

"All right. All of us are determined to make everything work in our favor. So, let us discuss the strategy

now. With everyone's help, we can have a high chance of opening the door," Marcia said. Colton's

primary motivation was to avenge the chief of the Di Clan, while Rocky and Marcia wanted to open the

door to the alien world so that they could return to their previous world. In that case, with their

cooperation, they might eventually hit two birds with one stone.

"Since everyone has already made up their minds, I won't object anymore. From here on, we should be

prepared to put up a desperate fight to attain our objectives." Rocky nodded and agreed to their joint

cooperation.

Soon enough, the three of them began to discuss various countermeasures.

They knew that the Shura Race would set up many traps in the Demon Valley, so they had to make

every necessary preparation before proceeding.

Rocky did have a way in mind to make sure that the guards would successfully arrive at the door to the

alien world. However, it would most probably diminish their morale. In fact, even if they safely reached

the door, they might not have enough morale to fight against the Shura Race.

On the other hand, if the guards were easily hindered and their forces were lost even before they

reached the door, there would not be enough manpower to fight against the Shura Race.

Hence, they were really in a dilemma.

Of course, there were a lot of other things that Rocky had to consider, like Alyssa's safety. The Shura

Race intentionally took Alyssa away as a hostage to force him to surrender. Thus, once they brought

Alyssa out and threatened her life, Rocky would not be able to move freely.

Therefore, he must be well prepared for every possible scenario when they faced the Shura Race.

"After I let Glutton out in this world, it completely disappeared. It was my fault for lifting its restriction,"

Rocky mumbled in disappointment. Currently, he needed to accumulate as much combat power as

possible to have a chance to defeat the Shura Race.

Fortunately, Rocky could use the Fire Pill at any time to summon Harlan. Additionally, he possessed

the Star Beast Ring that could bestow him astounding strength. But of course, if he wanted to triumph

over the Shura Race, he needed more pieces aside from what he already had.

In the next few days, Rocky carefully set up various mysterious military arrays to train the guards much

faster.

After everything was ready, Rocky and his comrades, together with the guards led by Colton, entered

the Demon Valley with the goal of reaching the door to the alien world.

At the same time, in the depths of the Demon Valley, thousands of members of the Shura Race had

been waiting for them, guarding the door.
