In the beginning, the twelve deities lived in prosperity and ruled the spiritual race in harmony. As a
matter of fact, all they wanted was to revive the Star Divine Race and restore them to their former glory.
Due to their power and influence, the members of the Star Divine Race and spiritual race considered
them as gods and worshiped them religiously. However, they did not expect the Star Divine Race to get
weaker and weaker with each passing day. Gradually, most of the twelve deities had come up with
plans of their own. They believed that they would become the strongest beings in the two worlds once
the Star Divine Race was wiped out on the face of the earth.
Encouraged and somewhat blinded by their ambitions and goals, some of the deities turned against
each other as if they were in a competition. Not long after, each of them occupied a vast land in the
area of the Wild Spirit Land and turned the spiritual race that inhibited the area into slaves who served
them.
Flash forward to thousands of years, and nothing had changed—the spiritual race was still regarded
and treated as slaves. Hungry for power and rule, these deities slaughtered and played with the
spiritual race out of whim. As they clashed with each other very often, they also inflicted massive
damage and casualties to the spiritual race. Through time, there were some spiritual race clans who
had the will and drive to resist the fascist rulers. However, due to their limited strength, they were
unable to defy and disobey the orders of these wretched deities. As a result, they were left with no
choice but to endure everything at that time.
The members of the spiritual race clans did not believe in hope until one day, a mysterious man
emerged in their territory and gave them such astonishing news. "The Divine Spiritual Source exists,"
reported the mysterious man.
The spiritual race was aware that the Star Divine Race was able to survive by sheer luck because they
had taken away the Divine Spiritual Source that initially belonged to them. With the sudden exposure of
the truth, the spiritual race's resistance only grew stronger.
As a result, the spiritual race prepared and immediately devised a plan to take back the Divine Spiritual
Source that they believed was rightfully theirs.
Unfortunately, the Divine Spiritual Source was heavily sealed inside the Heavenly God Temple, making
it impossible for the spiritual race to enter the said temple. Moreover, it was only during the worship of
the twelve deities when a small number of the spiritual race could enter the temple every year.
Just as the spiritual race was losing hope, the mysterious man who had revealed the truth drafted a
plan in order to retrieve their item.
Without a doubt, this plan was very dangerous, but the spiritual race still adopted and chose to push
through with it. Not long after, tens of thousands of spiritual race beings gathered and formed a
powerful army that represented the force of the spiritual race. Later, as the Star Divine Race initiated
their annual sacrificial ceremony, the spiritual race launched a surprise attack against the Star Divine
Race that lived in the Myriad Spirit Tomb.
Despite that the Star Divine Race was powerful, the spiritual race with more warriors seemed to have
the upper hand. This was due to the Star Divine Race's gradual decline in terms of power. In fact, at
the end of the battle, the Star Divine Clan almost got wiped out.
Never had the deities expected that the spiritual race had the guts to resist them. Seeing this whole
ordeal, they were furious. Almost instantly, they collaborated with each other to suppress them. In the
blink of an eye, tens of thousands of spiritual race beings were sent to their graves in the Myriad Spirit
Tomb.
But these mighty spiritual race beings' deaths were definitely not in vain. In fact, the deities did not
have the slightest idea that while they were fighting, the Divine Spiritual Source that was sealed in the
Heavenly God Temple had already been silently and stealthily taken out.
Unfortunately for these deities, it was already too late when they knew about it. In addition, they all
could not wrap their heads around how the spiritual race managed to perform this stealthy mission.
Now that the spiritual race possessed the Divine Spiritual Source, something very unusual happened—
they were unable to control it or use it to deal with those deities because of its tremendous power.
Just when the spiritual race did not know what to do next, the mysterious man emerged out of the blue
again. At that time, he used his power and divided the Divine Spiritual Source into two. Soon after, he
created nine spiritual treasures, transformed nine ancient spiritual beasts to nine legendary guardian
beasts and gave a beast to each of the nine strongest spiritual race clans.
Although the myriad spiritual race beings died in the battle, the spiritual race outnumbered them with
over a hundred thousand soldiers from their end. With that being said, they hurled more fights to resist
the deities. Now that they had the spiritual treasures and the legendary guardian beasts, the spiritual
race beings gained more confidence that they could destroy the deities through joint efforts.
Soon enough, tragic battles erupted from the two parties. Most of the deities were rendered lifeless,
and only three of them, the most powerful of the twelve, remained alive.
Of course, the spiritual race did not want to spare a single soul of the deities as they wanted them all
dead. However, no matter how hard they wanted to kill the remaining three deities, they no longer had
the extra energy to do so. But as it turned out, two of the three deities also wanted to wipe out the
entire population of the spiritual race and sacrifice them to the Star Divine Race. As a result, another
bloody war began between them.
For the third time, the mysterious man appeared once again. He might have sensed that the spiritual
race was in danger again and needed his help.
Only this time, the mysterious man did not want to become anonymous anymore. In fact, he wanted to
reveal his identity at that time. Shocking everyone around him, he came to unveil that he was the head
of the twelve deities and the most powerful of the remaining three who were still alive.
At that moment, everyone saw that he was none other than Divine King Belial!
Apparently, he planned everything from the resistance to the stealing of the Divine Spiritual Source. But
as a member and the leader of the twelve deities, his goal was quite questionable. Everything was so
twisted that none of the spiritual race beings could comprehend what was going on and why he was
doing it. But for the spiritual race, as long as Divine King Belial was on their side, they would be
stronger.
What happened next was not all the surprise. Without giving a fight, Divine King Belial managed to
deceive one of the last two deities, Ice Queen, into going into the Snow Cemetery Plain, leaving her
stranded there for countless years.
The last and only one who had the strength to fight against Divine King Belial was Wraith King
Sebastian, which was the powerful ghost attached to Alston.
It was not until the huge fight that Wraith King Sebastian knew that everything that happened was a
part of Divine King Belial's very intricate plan. Wraith King Sebastian wanted to do something, of
course, but it was already too late at that point.
Not long after, the two kings settled their feud through battle in the Heavenly God Temple for forty-nine
straight days. In the end, Divine King Belial had a better skill and defeated Wraith King Sebastian, who
ended up breaking his flesh. In order to save his life, Wraith King Sebastian refined his own spiritual
soul and transformed it into an immortal powerful ghost. Since the only Divine Spiritual Source that
could destroy Wraith King Sebastian had been separated, there was no single power in the world that
could completely stop him. Eventually, Divine King Belial sealed the ghost of Wraith King Sebastian
and suppressed it inside the Heavenly God Temple to be hidden forever.
Therefore, after countless battles and bloodshed, among the twelve originally domineering deities, only
Divine King Belial survived.
In truth, the spiritual race should be thankful for Divine King Belial's help. After all, they would have
never gotten rid of the ruler of the other deities and the Star Divine Race without his help. But Divine
King Belial's power seemed to have scared the spiritual race. All this time, he had been using his great
power to deal with the other deities, which only showed how invincible he was. Therefore, to eliminate
the threat, the spiritual race joined their forces, trying to kill Divine King Belial and regain their complete
freedom.
But before they would kill him, Divine King Belial left without a trace. Since then, the spiritual race
began to reproduce and repopulate the entire Wild Spirit Land.
In reality, Divine King Belial did not disappear at all. Instead, he returned to the world where the Star
Divine Race lived before. Upon his arrival, he sealed the belongings of the eleven deities into the
twelve statues of the Heavenly God Temple. As he did this, he refined his own strength into the Evil-
fight Divine Bead and the Demonic Soul Cauldron and sealed both of them. Moreover, he left King
Apollyon to guard the Myriad Spirit Tomb to prevent any spiritual race being from entering the
Maelstrom Realms. Last, he destroyed his body and spiritual soul so that he would be gone forever.
