When Rocky walked around the screen, he averted his eyes so he wasn't looking directly at Valeria.

The last thing he wanted to do was to embarrass her.

"I will give you the black needles and then I will go. It will hurt a little bit," Rocky said as he walked

behind her. Then, he took out the black needles and stabbed them into her back as fast as he could.

It didn't take long for Valeria to feel her meridians become smoother.

About five minutes later, Rocky had finished the acupuncture.

"You can rest in the medicated bath now. The black needles that are in your back will guide your

spiritual power and help it repair your meridians. It will take about six hours. You must stay here the

whole time. You are not allowed to go anywhere else," Rocky ordered.

"Okay." Valeria nodded.

"I have to leave the Ghost Palace for a while, but I'll set up some restrictions to protect you. I want you

to rest and let yourself heal. I'll be back just before the six hours are up." Wasting no time, Rocky

departed.

Valeria watched his back retreating and sighed. Then she closed her eyes, leaned back in the bathtub,

and allowed the needles and medicine to heal her.

After leaving the Ghost Palace, Rocky went to the lake. He didn't want anyone else to come with him

because he needed to focus on familiarizing himself with his new power.

Right now, the power that filled his body had already surpassed the limits of the Shura Race. The

highest realm he was supposed to be able to reach was the Half-god Realm. If he put in the hard work,

he could become a god one day.

It was a long, grueling task to reach the Half-god Realm. The first step was breaking through the Shura

Realm and preparing a solid foundation.

Fortunately, Rocky had been able to use the Spiritual Energy Gathering Pill to increase his strength

from a Spiritual King to a premium-stage Spiritual Emperor, saving him a lot of time.

But for any cultivator, reaching the peak level was tremendously difficult. It could not be fulfilled

overnight. Even the genius of the Shura Race would need at least ten years to break through from the

premium stage to the peak level.

Therefore, if Rocky wanted to break through to the peak level, he couldn't rely on his cultivation alone.

He would have to find a new method.

He was already talented at gene technology but that was limited to spiritual beasts. The powerhouses

in this world were not good at beast taming, let alone cultivating with beasts. Therefore, Rocky's gene

technology was useless. At most, he could use it to transform the genes of spiritual beasts to make

them stronger.

But the strongest warriors in the Shura Race weren't afraid of spiritual beasts, no matter how powerful

they were. That was because the strongest beast was equal to the peak level of a Spiritual Emperor at

most and there were very few of those. Beasts normally had power below the premium stage, so they

posed no threats to the Shura Race.

After all, there was a large number of Spiritual Emperors in the Shura Race. For example, in teams that

were responsible for escorting Godly Geniuses to the Nether Fire Land, there were at least seven or

eight Spiritual Emperors. This was evident enough that the Shura Race had strong, talented cultivators

on its side.

All of it was bad news for Rocky. He couldn't practice working with genes here.

That was why he had followed Esteban and learned medicine refinement. Refining rare pills could

improve his strength, but the materials he needed were also extremely hard to find. A lot of time would

be wasted collecting them. It was not a shortcut he could use for breakthrough. It could only be used as

an auxiliary method.

"This is going to be a lot harder than I thought. I need a viable shortcut to break through to the peak

level faster." Rocky sighed. His head was wrapped up with thoughts but he couldn't sort them and

figure out a better way to cultivate.

However, with his premium grade spiritual skill, Rocky already stood out among the nine Godly

Geniuses. The only opponent that was close to matching him was Israel. Therefore, there was no need

for him to rush.

Rocky lowered himself onto the edge of the lake and began to familiarize himself with his new power.

Six hours passed quickly.

After he noticed what time it was, Rocky went back to the Ghost Palace. When he arrived at the

pharmacy and bypassed the screen, he saw Valeria leaning against the edge of the bathtub.

"Ahem!" Rocky coughed politely.

Valeria had been relaxing herself in the hot water with her eyes closed. She immediately opened her

eyes when she heard someone approaching. When she saw that it was Rocky, she slid back into the

bathtub with a red face.

"It's time to pull out the black needles." Rocky stepped closer to her back and yanked each black

needle out one at a time.

After he was done, Rocky stayed silent and walked behind the screen again.

As soon as he was gone, Valeria stood from the bathtub. Then, she evaporated the residual water that

was on her body using her spiritual power and got dressed. After that, she joined Rocky on the other

side of the screen.

"Thank you. I feel much better now." It was rare for Valeria to express her gratitude sincerely so Rocky

raised his eyebrows.

"You're welcome. Today was only the first course of your treatment. Because your meridians were so

badly injured, you'll need at least four courses of treatment, once every three days. It will take half a

month," Rocky explained.

"That's a long time!" Because of previous experiences with wounds, she had thought that it would only

take a few days to recover. It usually took only two or three days for the elders from the Flower Fief to

heal her wounds.

"It's because I don't want you to have any long-lasting consequences. You know that your meridians

are damaged. If you can't fix them fast enough, your future cultivation will be affected and you could

even lose control during your cultivation one day. Normally, I wouldn't care so much, but you are my

fiancee. I have to try my best to fix you," Rocky said in a teasing tone.

Valeria shot him an angry look. The way he had said the word "fiancee" had sounded a little harsh.

"Keep resting for the time being. While you are undergoing the treatment, try not to use your spiritual

power. You should adjust your breath normally," Rocky warned.

"Okay." After casting a glance at Rocky, Valeria turned around and left. Rocky watched her figure as

she strolled away.

"I hope she follows my orders. Actually, she is a nice girl despite being arrogant and willful from time to

time. But unfortunately, she still has to do whatever she's told for the sake of her fief. I am in the same

boat! In order to go back to the original world and see my friends again, I have to do whatever I can

and make use of all the resources..." Rocky's eyes narrowed into a frown.

Meanwhile, in the floating hall above the northernmost tip of the continent, a delicate figure was staring

at the pillar of divine power which had reached three feet.

A look of surprise was etched into her face. As she looked around, she noticed that the other eight

pillars were much shorter.

"Why did his pillar of divine power grow so much? He must have had some adventures in the Nether

Fire Land." The figure shook her head. She couldn't understand it. "I was watching. He could have

made the Nether Dragon King surrender, but he didn't. He is unpredictable, but he is also the most

interesting Godly Genius I've ever seen...

In order to avoid making the other Godly Geniuses less confident, I won't announce the progress of

their pillars of divine power this time. As for the Nether Dragon King's task, it will be announced later.

After all, the next task is more interesting than the Nether Dragon King. Let them rest for a few more

days, and then we will welcome them to the new trial..." the figure muttered to herself. To her, the battle

between the Godly Geniuses was just a game.
