However, Rocky wasn't interested in the girl's body. He didn't even care to look at her properly. He

reached for and took out the magic needles that Esteban often used for practice and began to prick

them into the girl's flesh.

The use of magic needles was, in fact, no different from ordinary acupuncture. The only difference was

that these needles had to be used with the spiritual power which would condense the spiritual power at

the needle's tip and stimulate the meridians and acupoints. The materials required for the magic

needles were quite unusual as well. Although Esteban never admitted how he acquired them, Rocky

speculated that they were most likely refined from strange meteorites that held questionable power.

That would explain how they could easily concentrate and control the spiritual power.

The Skill of Magic Needle wasn't difficult for Rocky since he already possessed the basic medical skills

necessary to execute it.

Soon, over twenty magic needles protruded from all over the girl's body—each needle covering all her

important meridians and acupoints.

However, this skill wasn't just about gathering spiritual power. It also needed to form a connection with

the tips of the magic needles to achieve the treatment's purpose. This was the most challenging part.

But Rocky was able to easily master even this kind of divine skill without being taught thanks to his

highly developed skills in beast curing.

His hands continuously emanated spiritual power which eventually connected to the spiritual power

concentrated at the tips of the magic needles. Together, they formed a network that would help slowly

draw out the poison from the girl's heart meridian towards her limbs.

Esteban would've been stunned if he was present. He would've never expected Rocky to master the

Skill of Magic Needle, which Esteban created himself, by merely observing his treatments for three

months.

"I'll need you to cut open your lady's hands and feet, please," Rocky requested the middle-aged woman

politely.

She immediately summoned the spiritual power within her into her two fingers and formed a light blade.

It sliced into the girl's hands and feet one after another. Blood as black as coal began to gush out of the

wounds, a cold aura emanating off of it.

Five minutes later, the black-tinged blood began to gradually turn bright red and no longer gave off the

cold aura.

"She should be okay!" Then Rocky checked on what was happening within the girl's body. After

confirming that the poison had been completely discharged, he began to remove the magic needles.

Once he finished withdrawing and putting away the magic needles, Rocky turned around and sat back

in his seat silently where he continued to read his medical book.

The middle-aged woman glanced at Rocky with a weird expression. But she continued to put on the

girl's clothes quickly and then carried her out of the ice bed, ready to leave.

"Are you really just an assistant?" The middle-aged woman asked as she turned to face him before

leaving.

"Maybe not even an assistant," Rocky replied playfully. "But if possible," he continued. "Keep what

happened today a secret for me! If Esteban finds out, I may not be even able to assist anymore."

The middle-aged woman shot him a suspicious look and nodded before she swiftly left with the girl

cradled in her arms.

Once they were gone, Rocky hesitated for a moment. He stood up and gazed at the broken door. He

couldn't help but wish for the chance to go out and have a look. However, he knew that stepping

outside would mean entering the Shura Race's territory. He was safe in the Ghost Palace. But beyond

it, danger awaited him if he were to go anywhere with his human identity.

By then, Rocky suddenly thought of something. He immediately turned around and strode towards a

box beside the medicine cabinet. When he opened it, he was met with various masks made of human

skin, all of which looked as though they were from the Shura Race.

In addition to his penchant for dissecting, Esteban was also particularly keen on human skin masks. He

often cut off the skin of corpses to make them so that he could disguise himself every time he went out.

Only within the confines of the Ghost Palace would Esteban reveal his true human form.

Once he selected a mask, Rocky soaked it in a special potion concocted by Esteban and applied it to

his face. The mask began to shrink, tighten, and stick to his face in the blink of an eye. His face soon

morphed into a ferocious one from the Shura Race.

Rocky walked out of the palace and was relieved once he checked himself in a water basin's reflection

to make sure nothing was wrong.

As soon as he walked through the gate, a burst of dazzling light shot down from the sky and made him

squint. He stayed in the shadows of the Ghost Palace for three months. It was only normal that he felt

uncomfortable once he went out.

But once Rocky got used to it he continued to follow the stone path connecting the Ghost Palace with

the outside world. He began to familiarize himself with the new environment he was in.

'Most of the buildings here are shaped like palaces. They may belong to a powerful individual from the

Shura Race.' Rocky observed as he walked.

Not long after, he strolled into an area with quite a vibrant aura. Multiple members of the Shura Race

wore brocade clothes coming and going. Guards patrolled the vicinity back and forth as well.

He observed more carefully and discovered that most of them were quite powerful. They were at level

four or five of the Spirit Realm and many of them already achieved the Spiritual King level. Although he

didn't see any warriors of the Emperor Realm, the Shura Race was indeed a naturally powerful race

with its numerous strong fighters!

However, he didn't move forward to avoid any unnecessary trouble. Instead, he was back to the way he

came to return to the Ghost Palace.

But on the way, he suddenly sensed a powerful beast's aura. It was at least above the Emperor Realm.

Rocky had only felt a similar aura in Harlan before.

Out of curiosity, he followed the aura and traced its origin.

The aura came from a further distance than he expected. It took nearly five minutes for Rocky to pass

through the towering buildings before a huge round platform appeared in front of him.

This area was hidden deep with the round platform located behind a wall more than ten meters high.

Surrounding the platform were eighteen huge pillars that were connected with a thick, long iron chain

the color of coal. The other end of the chain was tightly wrapped around the huge crawling beast

stationed at the center of the platform.

'Why is this demonic beast imprisoned here? Judging from its aura, I'm afraid it's even stronger than

Harlan.' Rocky's interest was piqued and began to approach it cautiously.

In that instant, the demonic beast sensed that someone was approaching. It swiftly straightened its

neck and raised its huge head. Its crimson eyes stared back with ferocious hatred.
