The Medallion Chapter 1337 We'd Better Retreat

Upon learning that the defensive line in both directions had fallen, Jill withdrew the Phoenix Master

Clan's troops right away.

"Matriarch, I don't think we can hold on much longer. We must retreat," an elder of the Phoenix Master

Clan advised in all honesty.

Jill shared the same serious look on her face. Ever since the Phoenix Master Clan was established, it

housed its base at the Phoenix Cloud Mountain. But, as the matriarch of the clan, she had a hard time

deciding if she should give up and retreat. That was because once they withdrew their force from the

Phoenix Cloud Mountain, they would become homeless. Moreover, they could even be chased and

intercepted.

On the other hand, she also understood that if they continued to fight like this, they would eventually be

at a disadvantage. After weighing her options, she realized that if they wanted to keep the foundation of

the Phoenix Master Clan, retreat was the only way around this whole fiasco.

Not long after giving it some thought, she finally ordered her people to retreat. Then, she gathered the

Phoenix Master Clan troops at the other defensive lines and commanded them to head to the

southeast defensive line to prepare to break out. In addition, she ordered one of her men to take out

the Demonic Soul Cauldron in the forbidden area.

However, Alston had already figured out Jill's plan as he assumed his personal command. With that

being said, Alston raised the Dark King Mace in his hand as he led five hundred elite spiritual race

members, aiming to block the clan's path of escape.

The Phoenix Master Clan had no time to think of what to do next. All they knew was that they needed

to break out despite being surrounded by powerful forces and heavy weapons.

Not long after, under Jill's leadership, the army of three thousand members suddenly broke out of the

defensive line and rushed at Alston's elite spiritual race team at full speed.

In the blink of an eye, a fierce war was about to begin between the two groups!

Unfortunately, the Phoenix Master Clan's efforts seemed to be in vain as they failed to break the force

surrounding them. Instead of pushing through the barrier, they were beaten black and blue by the elite

spiritual race, rendering more than a hundred casualties on their team.

While this happened, several forces of the Glory Army also came to surround them from different

directions. Without a doubt, the Phoenix Master Clan was in a stage of siege.

"Matriarch, what do we do? We are surrounded," an elder shouted at Jill with a serious expression,

asking what to do.

On the other hand, Alston saw how rattled his enemies were. Taunting his enemies, he flashed a

complacent smile on them.

"Matriarch Jill, I don't think you have to fight anymore. If you do, your clan will be exterminated. I will

give you a choice: perish, or submit to my rule and live." Alston looked at Jill with evil eyes as if he was

certain that she would bow down to him and surrender.

"I would rather be killed than submit to you. The Phoenix Master Clan will never yield to you!" Jill bit her

pink lips out of frustration. Despite being trapped without a choice, she would still choose death over

surrendering to someone as despicable as Alston.

"Then don't blame me for what will happen next." Alston waved his hand, and the other members of his

troops instantly surrounded the Phoenix Master Clan from all directions.

Before long, the bloody and gruesome battle continued!

Jill, the elders, and the spiritual masters tried their best to lead the Phoenix Master Clan out of the

encirclement. But somehow, corpses still fell on the ground one by one because of the obvious gap in

power.

In a short while, the entire team was reduced to less than a thousand members, rendering the rest

severely injured.

Just when the Phoenix Master Clan felt that they did not stand a chance, hundreds of spiritual race

figures from the north suddenly fell from the sky. As that happened, the black mass of human armies

on the ground also surged over with great momentum.

Afterwards, a huge dragon shadow made its way and destroyed the encirclement at lightning speed,

quickly landing in front of Jill.

Jill, who was in deep distress, immediately noticed the dragon shadow fall and soon land in front of her.

Then, a delicate figure descended from the dragon's back.

"General Marcia?" Jill could only stammer in surprise as she saw who the lady was. She never

expected Marcia to emerge in front of her, especially when her force was on the brink of collapse.

"I will make it short. Please lead the Phoenix Master Clan to the north. Chief Bryant and General Lance

led a group of elite spirit manipulators and armies to pick you up there. We are responsible for cutting

off your rear..." Marcia said briefly.

To be honest, Jill was still a bit shaken by Maria's appearance, but as soon as she heard Marcia's

instructions, she already knew that the Magic Phoenix Empire must have had invited Marcia over to

help them. Based on how Marcia was able to order her without hesitation, it would seem that they had

already made a concrete plan.

Meanwhile, Alston also saw that Marcia was the one responsible for leading the Dragon Master Clan

forces here. Not long after, his face changed grimly upon seeing that the Phoenix Master Clan was

making its way to retreat to the north.

"So, what is the Dragon Master Clan's business here? This is a lovely surprise. The matriarch of the

Butterfly Divine Clan is also here..." As Alston felt the bizarre feeling crawling his skin, his face also

turned dark in suspicion. He hadn't expected that the long lost Dragon Master Clan would appear out of

the blue to support the Phoenix Master Clan regardless of the danger. He thought that these two forces

must have been brewing up something in secret.

But for Alston, it did not matter who was supporting whom. All that mattered to him was that they were

all advanced spiritual race clans that were all the end arrows of the bow to struggle. And since the two

clans had thrown themselves into his net this time, he would take advantage of this opportunity to kill

them all.

Nevertheless, this was enough motivation for Alston to immediately change his strategy. He was not in

a hurry to catch up with the Phoenix Master Clan, but he surely aimed his firepower at Marcia, the

Dragon Master Clan members led by Moira, and the Butterfly Divine Clan members led by Cherry.

After Marcia and the others successfully attracted Alston's attention, the members of the Phoenix

Master Clan soon joined Bryant's group of human spirit manipulators, along with an army with thirty

thousand soldiers.

However, as soon as they met, a group from the Glory Army entrapped them.

Luckily, with the support of the human spirit manipulators and nearly a thousand members of the

Phoenix Master Clan together, it didn't take long for them to break out of the barricade and meet with

the fifty thousand armies who were waiting for support in the back.

"Matriarch Jill!" Felicia exclaimed the moment she saw Jill in one piece.

"Well done! Thank you. Did you invite them here?" Jill turned her gaze to Felicia and Bryant.

"I know that the Magic Phoenix Empire can't provide much support to our clan alone, so I sent Erica a

message and asked her to tell General Marcia about the whole situation. To be honest, I didn't expect

that she would really bring this much support..." Felicia remarked.

"I'm sorry but this is not the right time for chitchat. We should divide into three groups and retreat in

three different directions according to the plan. In this way, we will surely be able to separate our

pursuers..." Bryant stepped forward and suggested.

Soon after, Jill immediately arranged her people according to the plan. She asked the old, weak women

and children of the Phoenix Master Clan to join in the first retreat army. Next, she arranged her injured

members to be taken out of the field. Finally, only she, several elders, and some elite soldiers led by

the spiritual masters were left.

"General Lance, lead the left army to the west first," Bryant commanded.

"All right." Lance nodded. Then, he quickly led the left army to protect the old, weak women and

children of the Phoenix Master Clan to retreat to the west.
