The Medallion Chapter 1726 Pretend To Become Enemies

"Damn it! This is exactly what I was worried about! That girl really annoys me to the extreme!" Rocky

could not help but let out a bitter smile. Right after they returned from the Nether Fire Land, he was

already worried that Gloria might begin to take action. It turned out that it was even sooner than he

expected.

Since he knew that Gilbert would not be able to deal with the leader of the Genie Fief by himself, he

deemed that he would have to make a move eventually.

Soon enough, he arrived at the conference hall where Gilbert and the others were currently in the

middle of a discussion.

After Rocky entered the hall, his eyes immediately met Adrian's.

Since Adrian was a master at the Shura Realm, Rocky was not surprised that his aura was so

overwhelming. However, he was still able to maintain his composure in front of Arian. In fact, Adrian

was impressed that Rocky did not show any hint of fear or panic as their eyes locked for a moment.

"You must be the leader of the Genie Fief. Nice to meet you, sir. I've heard a lot of things about you!"

Rocky greeted with a big smile.

"Nice to meet you too, Godly Genius Odin," Adrian responded as he looked at Rocky from head to toe.

"So, now that the Godly Genius of your Ghost Fief is already here, we might as well get straight to the

point, right? Gilbert, do you mind?" Adrian knew that Gilbert asked Rocky to appear in the discussion

just to let him make the decision himself.

Hearing this, Gilbert glanced at Rocky to give him a hint. After all, everything that would happen next

depended on what Rocky would decide upon.

"Well, I've just heard that your daughter wants to marry me. I must say that I feel so lucky. I did not

expect that Miss Gloria is so fond of me!" Rocky said pretentiously.

"Yes, you are! So, I expect that you will have no objection to it," Gloria replied as she gave Rocky a

flirtatious look.

Her charm was so intoxicating that even the officials could not help but swallow hard.

"Gloria, you are still a girl. You should be more reserved..." Adrian quickly reminded her daughter.

"I don't think there's something wrong with it. I like him, so I want to marry him. I just want to get straight

to the point!" Gloria uttered as if she was a spoiled child.

Seeing her behavior, the elders and officials present were rendered speechless. For an unmarried

young woman, they thought that Gloria was too bold. She even expressed her love without any

reluctance. They could not help but think that she was the complete opposite of Valeria.

At the same time, Rocky was also taken aback. He didn't know how to react because Gloria had really

put him in a tight spot.

"Well, you heard what my daughter said. So, why don't we agree and settle on the marriage?" Adrian

said as he turned to Rocky.

"Actually, if the circumstances were normal, I will not object to it. However, you know that I was

originally engaged to the Godly Genius of the Flower Fief. So, I don't think I can accept a second

marriage." Rocky tried to refuse politely.

"Yes, we know that. But don't forget that there are three names in the engagement covenant. It means

that officially, my daughter is your fiancee too. Therefore, I don't think there's a problem if you two get

married. Moreover, Gloria and I already talked about it. She said that she would not mind if Valeria and

she shared a husband. However, if Valeria has any objection to this setup, then she can cancel her

engagement with you. Anyway, what I am trying to say is that I already made up my mind to let my

daughter marry you," Adrian said resolutely the moment Rocky refused.

Gilbert was actually shocked that Adrian had such an unyielding attitude regarding his own daughter's

marriage. It seemed that he had really set his eyes on the Ghost Fief this time.

"Ha-ha!" Out of nowhere, Rocky burst into laughter as he put his palm on his face.

Everyone was surprised at Rocky's sudden outburst because they didn't know what was going on in his

mind.

"Well, it seems that I don't have the choice to disagree this time. In that case, fine, let's do it," Rocky

said with a shrug.

Hearing this, Gilbert and the elders of the Ghost Fief were utterly shocked. If Rocky would agree to this

marriage, then they would have a lot of explaining to do with the Flower Fief. Of course, they would be

in greater trouble.

"However, I have one condition. If you want this marriage to happen, you need to agree to it first,"

Rocky said to Adrian as his expression suddenly became serious.

"Condition? What is it?" Adrian asked as his eyes narrowed.

"Well, it's actually quite simple. Once I married Gloria, she must cut off all her ties with the Genie Fief."

As Rocky finished his sentence, Adrian was utterly stunned. He did not expect that Rocky would

suddenly make such an unreasonable request. Of course, there was no way that they would agree to it.

Gloria was the Godly Genius of the Genie Fief. If she would cut all ties with her fief, they would lose

their Godly Genius.

"I don't get it. What is the purpose of your request?" Adrian asked as he furrowed his brows.

"She said so herself. Gloria wanted to marry me because she loves me. Her intention does not have

anything to with the battle of the Godly Geniuses or the fight for power. Hence, in order to protect

herself, she should cut off her ties with the Genie Fief right after we get married. That should not be a

problem since she likes me and not my identity, right?" Rocky responded with a sly smile.

After he heard everything, Adrian was at a loss for words. He did not expect that Rocky would be so

brilliant so as to use their words to his advantage.

Even Gloria could not help but frown. She realized that she had underestimated Rocky's wit.

On the other hand, Gilbert and the elders instantly showed a look of admiration towards their Godly

Genius. They were actually dumbfounded that Rocky was able to turn the tables in the midst of such a

huge dilemma.

"If you can agree to that, then I can marry Gloria as soon as possible," Rocky added.

"I see..." Of course, Adrian had no intention of agreeing to those terms. However, he also couldn't

suddenly change their statement and say that what they really wanted was to form an alliance.

"I don't expect you to answer right away. I know that it's a big deal so you may want to think about it

first. Anyway, since you came all the way here, we shall do our best to accommodate you. I guess it

won't be a problem if you stayed at the leader's mansion for a few days while you consider this matter

carefully," Rocky said as he glanced at Gilbert.

"That would be great…" Adrian answered flatly. Of course, Adrian did not intend to return to their fief

without achieving their goal. Since Rocky offered that they could stay, they immediately grabbed it.

They would also utilize this time to think of a solution to Rocky's unexpected demand.

"Guards, please escort the leader and the Godly Genius of the Genie Fief to the guest hall so that they

can rest," Gilbert ordered.

Soon enough, Adrian and Gloria left with the guards.

"Sir, I also want to talk to you. Just the two of us." Rocky immediately approached Gilbert as soon as

Adrian and Gloria were already out of sight.

Gilbert nodded and also asked the elders and officials to go back.

"I must admit that I was really impressed with your quick-thinking," Gilbert praised Rocky with a smile.

"Well, I'm afraid that it could just buy us some time. I know that Leader Adrian would not give up that

easily," Rocky replied as he shook his head.

"Yes, I know. So, do you have any idea about what we should do next?" Gilbert asked.

"It's obvious that Leader Adrian won't agree to my demand. However, if we still insist on what I want,

they might use that as an excuse to go against us. That will be bad for us since we're going to have

one more powerful enemy." Rocky was well-aware that if they could not handle the negotiations with

the Genie Fief properly, they would surely make trouble for them afterward.

"You are right. That is exactly what I am worried about," Gilbert said as he nodded.

"But maybe, we can also use that to our advantage..." Rocky gave a devious smile after thinking for a

while.

"What do you mean?" Gilbert asked in confusion.

"We can pretend that our fief and the Genie Fief got into a dispute, but we will actually be allies with

them in secret," Rocky boldly suggested.
