"Wait. So, you are a female?" Rocky asked in astonishment as soon as he heard the voice.

Meanwhile, a heavy gust of wind blew away the fluffy white cap that sat on top of the spiritual race

being's head. Under this cap, there was a face that was white as snow. Her features were delicate and

soft, coupled with piercing blue eyes that were as bright as the clear day sky. She had a pair of long

ears that housed some of her tucked strands of hair that were as white as her.

Soon after, the spiritual light all over this woman's body rose sharply, and a strong aura immediately

surrounded Rocky from all directions. All of a sudden, several snow chains shot out from the ground,

directly entangling both Rocky and Robin.

With his current strength, it was very easy for Rocky to break free from the snow chains. However, it

was so unexpected of him to show no signs of a struggle as if he had planned to do something else

than escape.

Soon after, the snow woman instantly grabbed the snow chains entangling Rocky and Robin, and then

dragged them beside the snow beast. Then, she lifted her other hand, took the upper limbs of the snow

beast and shuttled into the endless Snow Cemetery Plain.

The only reason Rocky allowed himself to be easily caught by the snow chains was that he wanted the

snow woman to help him lead the way so that he would not waste any more time finding the way

himself. Besides, he wanted to know more about the origin of the snow woman's spiritual race clan.

'Is she a member of the nearly extinct Snow Master Clan?' Rocky, who was tied up by the snow chains,

thought to himself as he looked up at the woman.

After walking for about an hour, Rocky suddenly laid eyes on some stone houses built on the foot of the

mountain. These houses were closely arranged to each other that they resembled a tiny bustling

village. From a distance, one could see some faint figures walking from one house to another.

After setting foot in the village, the snow woman immediately let out a very bizarre scream. Hearing

this, everyone in the area dashed towards her and gathered around her. Soon after, several people

clad in tight snow-white fur from head to foot came close to the woman to see what was going on.

Based on what they were wearing, they were, without a doubt, from the same spiritual race clan as the

woman.

But as soon as the people came near the woman, they saw two figures entangled by the snow chains

—Rocky and Robin. Immediately, they all looked down and pointed their fingers towards the snow

woman.

Surely, the people whispered to one another as they tried to make sense of what was happening. Of

course, the woman heard these faint words of criticism, and a look of displeasure immediately

appeared on her face.

Not long after, an old male spiritual race being came limping out of one of the stone houses in the

village. But the moment he saw Rocky, the old man did not hesitate to walk towards the snow woman

and whisper something serious to her ears. Then, he walked forward and untied the snow chains that

bound Rocky and Robin.

"Thank you." Despite being doubtful of the man's intentions, Rocky still expressed his gratitude in a

respectful manner.

"I'm sorry. My daughter did not think of her actions well. Please forgive her!" The old male spiritual race

being lowered his head a little bit and kindly apologized to Rocky in human language. At the same time,

he looked at Rocky up and down as if assessing him. The man thought that Rocky was still very young,

but oddly enough had a very deep aura. Upon examining him, the man believed that Rocky must be a

powerful spirit manipulator.

"So, you can speak the human language. Well, that's easy. Are you from the Snow Master Clan? The

one that is on the brink of extinction in the Wild Spirit Land?" Rocky asked in an instant.

The man hesitated for a moment, but after finding the courage to respond, he said, "Yes, we are from

the Snow Master Clan. I am Cyrus Xue, the head of this village."

"Nice to meet you. My name is Rocky. Thank you so much for freeing us." Rocky also introduced

himself. To him, he didn't see Cyrus show any signs of arrogance to and prejudice towards humans.

Instead, this man gave people a sense of modesty, so he naturally had a good first impression of him.

"Oh, it was nothing. You are welcome, Mr. Rocky. From your demeanor, I don't think you are a bad guy.

It's cold outside. Please come in so we can talk somewhere warmer." After greeting Rocky politely,

Cyrus ushered him into the stone house where he had just come out of.

Then, Rocky entered the house and noticed its minimalistic and simple decor. No bed was found, just

some basic daily articles. In the center, a large pot hung with two wooden sticks as pillars, and under it

was a pile of dry wood that kindled the bonfire.

"I hope you don't mind how humble this home is. I'm sorry to put you to such inconvenience. Please,

take a seat," Cyrus welcomed.

"You don't have to apologize from having a humble home. This is much better than the temperature

outside." Rocky found a piece of clean ground and sat down. Soon after, he stretched out his palms

and took some heat from the bonfire to warm himself up.

"By the looks of it, you are here to look for treasures. Am I right?" Cyrus asked casually.

"Almost. Judging from your tone, Head Cyrus, it seems that many humans have come before us to look

for treasures?" Rocky asked with a slight frown.

"Not really, at least, not recently. In fact, you are the only human I have seen in a while," said Cyrus as

he waved his hand slightly.

"Is that true? Does the Snow Master Clan only have one village left?" Rocky inquired

"There are also other villages. But we don't come and go very often because we are far away from

each other." Cyrus shook his head and wore an unusual expression as if he had some unspeakable

secret. However, he quickly said, "My daughter, Harriet, is thoughtless. She sees you as one of the

previous human beings, so she attacked you. I hope you don't mind!"

"Previous humans?" Rocky immediately became concerned upon hearing those words.

Meanwhile, Harriet came in and looked at Rocky with unfriendly eyes. Soon after, she talked to her

father in her own clan's language that Rocky couldn't understand. However, unable to hide his

disappointment, Cyrus pulled a long face and scolded his daughter.

"My daughter said that you would never know if a person is good just at first glance. She said that you

were sneaky at that time, just like the previous human beings that left a bad impression on her," Cyrus

sighed in dismay.

"The previous human beings? What do you mean by that?" Rocky's eyes narrowed in curiosity.

"They are the human beings who have taken away the spiritual treasure of our Snow Master Clan,"

Cyrus said in a severe tone.

"Then why didn't you stop them?" Rocky asked with interest. After all, the Snow Master Clan was not

completely annihilated, and several villages still existed. No matter how strong humans were, it was

impossible for them to be stronger than the spiritual race beings. Therefore, it was very strange that

their spiritual treasure would be taken away from under their watchful eyes.

"I'm strong in will but weak in power. In fact, there is not much peace among the several villages of our

clan. We know that the one who took those humans to the place where our spiritual treasure was

sealed is someone from another village. In addition, we believe that those humans gave him a lot of

benefits. And for a mere Snow Master Clan being living in this kind of ice and snow, I bet that the

benefits were very tempting," Cyrus said frustratingly.

"Is that so?" Rocky didn't respond to the matter more. After all, they were stories from the past, so he

just asked directly, "Head Cyrus, you must be very familiar with the terrain of the Snow Cemetery Plain,

right?"

"Almost." Cyrus nodded.

"Can you please tell me how to get to that place?" Rocky asked as he took the topographic map out of

his bag and pointed at the marked position on it.

After the head closely at the mark on the map, his face suddenly changed. He shook his head in a

hurry and said, "You can't go there. It's very dangerous! Spiritual race beings would never dare enter

that area, let alone humans..."

"So, you know this place, don't you, Head Cyrus?" At that moment, Rocky didn't expect that he had

found the right person to ask.
