"Hey, come with me," Ramon said to Rocky as he wore a serious expression on his face.

Rocky quickly nodded and informed Tessa, "Nightshade's condition has basically stabilized already, but

I still need to disinfect its wound and put on the necessary medication every day. So, I guess I'll be

coming here every morning from now on."

"All right. Thank you very much for all your help," Tessa replied with a bright smile on her face.

"No. I should be the one thanking you for introducing me to a new job," Rocky said before he finally

followed Ramon.

Then, shortly after, the two of them left the Fragrance Pavilion.

"Brat, you can't fool me. What's your real purpose?" Ramon asked coldly. As soon as they got out of

the pavilion, Ramon's strong spiritual aura suddenly rose and enveloped him.

"Purpose for? I can't follow what you're talking about." Rocky pretended to be ignorant and denied

everything that Ramon was speculating.

"I don't think you are who you claimed to be. Besides, didn't you say yesterday that your ribs were

broken? Why does it seem that you didn't suffer any injury at all? What stunt are you trying to pull off?"

Ramon tried to grill him until he folded.

"Well, I'm not a doctor, so I can't really say if I'm injured or not. It just felt that something was wrong in

my body at that time. I'm actually glad that it turns out to be nothing serious," Rocky answered with a bit

of a supercilious expression.

"Humph! I'm warning you, brat. If I learn that you are up to something, you won't get away with this."

Ramon wasn't stupid, and he knew that Rocky was also the cunning type. Thus, he instantly got

annoyed that he couldn't corner the newbie. At the same time, he also knew that Rocky had already

gained Tessa's trust, which meant that he couldn't just do anything rash. All he could do right now was

to keep an eye on Rocky and look for a chance to expose him. As long as Ramon could find some dirt

on him, he could easily kick him out of the Sword Spirit City.

After a while, Rocky and Ramon reached the beast farm where they had been yesterday. When the

man in charge saw Ramon, he quickly rushed towards him and said, "Captain Ramon, the person you

brought here yesterday suddenly disappear..." Before he could even finish his sentence, he saw Rocky

appear from behind Ramon. He was instantly stunned and was rendered speechless for a brief

moment.

"Yeah. It turns out that he's alright. From now on, he will be working here on the beast farm. But you

don't need to be polite to him. Just order him around and make sure that he does his job well," Ramon

ordered as he scoffed coldly.

"Yes, captain! Don't worry about it." The man in charge was still actually a bit confused but he

immediately responded without asking any question.

Ramon glanced and snorted at Rocky before he finally left the beast farm.

"I'm Basil. Nice to meet you!" Rocky cupped his hands as he introduced himself to the man.

"Basil, huh? Okay, come with me." The man then waved his hand and signaled Rocky to follow him.

Although he didn't know why the guy, who suddenly disappeared yesterday, was now assigned to work

in the beast farm, he had no choice but to obey since it was a direct order from his superior.

With that, Rocky followed closely behind him.

Then, the man accompanied Rocky around the beast farm and made him familiarize himself with

everything that was in there. He also told him about some matters that needed continuous attention

and other basic things that he needed to know. After a brief tour of the place, he gave Rocky a task,

asking him to clean the farm and feed the spiritual beasts.

On the other hand, Rocky was already very familiar with this kind of job. In fact, when he first arrived at

the Crimson Dragon Group before, this was what he did. So, it was just like taking up his old job. At the

same time, it also gave him a good opportunity for some data gathering. Working on a beast farm

without too many eyes to guard him meant that he could freely collect blood samples from all of the

spiritual beasts that they kept here. Then, he could analyze their genes and make some new

discoveries.

Thus, Rocky decided to temporarily settle down in the Sword Spirit City.

Meanwhile, at the junction of the human race, the spiritual race and the Shura Race, a group of men

and women, who looked like prisoners, were being escorted by several members of the Shura Race

towards the battlefield of the human race.

Unfortunately, Rocky wasn't there to witness the scene, because it turned out that these men and

women were the people he was looking for.

After the failure of destroying the door that connected the Wild Spirit Land and the alien land, several

powerful spirit manipulators, including Bryant and the spiritual masters of the spiritual race, were all

captured. When they were brought to the alien land, they were imprisoned for a few days before the

Shura Race eventually divided them into dozens of groups. Then, some were sent to the border

battlefield of the human race, and some to that of the spiritual race.

One of the groups was comprised of Shirley, Bryant, and most of the spirit manipulators from the

Timber Deity Empire and the Magic Phoenix Empire. However, it could be seen that Alyssa was not

with them.

"Hey, hurry up! We still need to reach the border before nightfall. Move faster, you laggards!" one of the

members of the Shura Race shouted with a ferocious look on his face. Then, out of spite, he swung his

spiritual whip towards Bryant.

After the creatures of the Wild Spirit Land had been captured, their spiritual power was all sealed.

Therefore, right now, they were no different from ordinary people. When Bryant was hit by the whip, the

skin on his shoulder instantly tore open, and the damage looked terrifying.

"Grandfather!" Shirley, who was directly standing behind Bryant, shouted in exasperation as she glared

at the man who hit his grandfather.

"I'm fine. Don't make a scene no matter what. If we want to find an opportunity to escape, we can't

make any trouble right now," Bryant said in a low voice as he shook his head.

"Damn it! If only Basil was here. He would definitely save us from these miscreants!" Shirley could only

curse upon the fate that they had suffered.

"Don't lose hope. At this moment, we can only rely on ourselves. This is not the time to wallow in

despair. We need to be strong in order to survive. Most importantly, we need to find Preceptor Marcia.

If she's still alive, our chances of getting back to our original world would certainly increase," Bryant

said with an unwavering spirit. He had already experienced countless battles throughout his life. As

long as there was still a shred of hope to cling on, he would not give up whatever situation they might

be in.

"That's right. But I don't think anyone knows where she is right now. Let's just hope that she's fine..."

Shirley said softly.

In the Sword Spirit City, there weren't many people who worked at the beast farm, so their workload

was kind of heavy. However, Rocky didn't mind because he was happy at what he was doing here.

Studying spiritual beasts was one of his passions, so he almost spent his whole time doing this, except

when he was required to visit the Fragrance Pavilion to check on Nightshade's progress.

There were not that many spiritual beasts in the beast farm where Rocky worked. From what he

learned the past days, spiritual beasts were much rarer in the alien land than in the Wild Spirit Land.

Since the alien land was enveloped by the evil spirit, most of the beasts were diabolic spiritual beasts

or demonic spiritual beasts. Both of the two kinds were much more difficult to tame than ordinary

spiritual beasts. In fact, human spirit warriors only possessed the strength to tame the ordinary spiritual

beasts. Moreover, in the alien land, besides the Shura Race, the human race and the spiritual race

were really not that proficient in beast taming. Thus, they were more focused on pursuing the martial

arts, gaining them the title of spirit warriors.

For the spirit warriors, there were actually three realms—the Spirit Realm, the King Realm, and the

Emperor Realm. Although there were still higher realms after the Emperor Realm, aside from the Shura

Race, it was impossible for the other two races to reach them.

At the Spirit Realm, there were a total of seven grades, and only upon reaching the seventh grade

could one have the ability to break through to the King Realm. However, once a spirit warrior already

reached this realm, they could not simply improve their strength in the regular way. Upon breaking

through the King Realm, initially, one had to cultivate another spiritual body—the Spiritual Infant. For a

spirit warrior, it was like an avatar. It could not only enhance one's strength but also speed up their

cultivation process.

There were two ways to cultivate a Spiritual Infant. First, one could cultivate it on their own, but the

chances of succeeding were pretty low. Therefore, most spirit warriors would be stuck in their

cultivation as they reached the King Realm because of their inability to successfully cultivate their

Spiritual Infants. The other known way was to merge it with the martial spirit of a dead Emperor Realm

warrior. If one managed to pull it off, they could directly cultivate the Spiritual Infant. However, martial

spirits of dead Emperor Realm warriors were also extremely scarce. Thus, even for spirit warriors,

making it to the Emperor Realm was such a nearly impossible task.
