"You've arranged everything so well, sir," Rocky praised. Even though he saw this coming from a mile

away, he was amazed by Gilbert's effort.

"Although you may be unable to complete the mission in the Nether Fire Land, it will still prove to be

good practice for you two. I hope that you and Valeria will make use of this opportunity to be familiar

with each other. This mission will lay the foundation of your dual cultivation." Gilbert explained his

thought.

"What? Dual cultivation?" Rocky was caught off guard. From his perspective, he and Valeria would

never do such a thing.

"Well, let's talk about that when you get back from your mission!" Gilbert cut him off before Rocky could

protest.

Rocky let out a dry smile in response and then went out of the conference hall.

Meanwhile, Gloria was making her way to the guest hall which had been arranged by Gilbert. She

walked with a spring in her step since she was in a good mood for having successfully sabotaged the

engagement between the Ghost Fief and Flower Fief.

"Maybe Leader Gilbert will come soon," Purple said anxiously.

"That's right. He must be in a hurry to get the engagement covenant back," Gloria said as she sat down

on a chair.

"Are you going to return the engagement covenant?" Purple asked, still in shock. She couldn't wrap her

head around what her lady was thinking. If it were her, she wouldn't have snatched the engagement

covenant in public and signed her name on it in the first place.

"What? No way! This is what we call a bargaining chip," Gloria said while she waved the paper in the

air with a crude smile on her face. "We can use this to put both the Ghost Fief and Flower Fief in a

rather precarious position," she added.

"But if you offend Leader Gilbert, I'm afraid it'll be difficult for us to escape from here." Purple was

beyond worried. She still didn't know what the lady was planning.

"Oh, stop worrying. He wouldn't dare lay a finger on me since he and my father have a good

relationship." Gloria comforted the worried soul with her complete confidence.

"Well, it is always wise to play safe," Purple said under her breath.

"Plus, if he really would harm me, Odin will be my shield. After all, he is my fiance now." Gloria proved

that she had already thought everything through.

"Will he really help us?" Purple couldn't help but doubt.

"Can't you see that he really doesn't want to get engaged to Valerie?" Gloria asked back with her

cunning eyes lighting up.

"How is that possible?" The thought never crossed Purple's mind. She believed their marriage was

serious and nothing could ever break them apart.

"Otherwise, why would he lead us to the engagement ceremony even though he knew that we might

make a scene? Even more, he didn't even try to stop me when I made up the story and then took the

engagement covenant away. He obviously wants to get out of their arrangement." Gloria had already

seen through Rocky's every move. She would bet her life that Rocky would help them out when

needed.

"On purpose? But why would he do that? What benefits would it bring to the Ghost Fief?" Purple was

completely confused.

"This is something I can't quite figure out, but what I am sure of is that this Odin guy would prove his

worth to us. He's something special. I can tell." Another reason Gloria came to the Ghost Fief was to

see what was special about Rocky and how he could benefit the Genie Fief. Unsurprisingly, he didn't

disappoint her. The moment she saw him in person, her interest was completely aroused.

"I'm not scared of Leader Gilbert. What I'm scared of is your father. If he finds out you've been causing

so much trouble in the Ghost Capital, he'll be furious!" The image of Adrian, the leader of the Genie

Fief, furious with them was enough to make her hands tremble in fear. Everyone in the Shura Race

knew him as a tyrant with a violent temper.

"It doesn't matter if he gets angry. Are you forgetting that I am the Godly Genius and not him? I have

the final say on how I deal with my opponents, not him..." Gloria snorted disapprovingly.

Purple was rendered speechless. She knew it was futile to try and talk some sense into her master. As

long as Gloria had her eyes set on something, she would stop at nothing to get it—not even the gods

could hope to stop her.

On the other side, Elder Leticia and Valeria were fuming over what happened at the engagement

ceremony. Although she didn't want the ceremony to go on, never was Valeria humiliated like that.

She frantically paced back and forth inside the Fragrance Palace, trying to think of how she could get

even with Gloria. "Elder Leticia, I won't let the Godly Genius of the Genie Fief go just like that!" she

scowled in anger.

"That's for sure. The nerve on that woman to openly destroy the marriage between the Flower Fief and

the Ghost Fief! If Leader Gilbert weren't there, I would've taught her a lesson!" Elder Leticia also

scoffed. Her blood was boiling with anger.

"What should we do now? She took the engagement covenant and signed it. Wouldn't it mean that the

three of us are engaged? How absurd! If news of this spreads out, I will be humiliated so badly..."

Valeria wanted to cry. She cared for nothing more than her reputation.

"Actually it's not that embarrassing. After all, the most beautiful woman in the Genie Fief interfered with

someone else's engagement. It's obvious that a woman of her stature has been taught about doing this

for a long time." After analyzing the situation, Elder Leticia offered her words of advice. Her long and

rich life had taught her to look at things from a different perspective.

"I think she's just looking for trouble. What good would come from being that guy's fiancee? She's just

begging to be in danger!" Valeria blurted out. She couldn't comprehend Gloria's action.

"In my opinion, she is much smarter than you. She must have seen something in him that you have yet

to see. You must be careful around her in the future..." Elder Leticia said as she shook her head.

Although Valeria was a Godly Genius and had extraordinary talent, she rarely left the Flower Fief and

was unsophisticated. She was naive compared to the others. Gloria, on the other hand, was a

scheming person and would surely be a big problem for them in the future.

"Humph. How could he possibly have any potential?" Valeria was still adamant to see Rocky in a bad

light.
