The Medallion Chapter 1410 Bumped Into The Carriage

"Where am I?" Rocky didn't know whether to cry or laugh as he had a bad start upon setting foot in that

place. In fact, it was more or less a blow to him.

Since he lost the ability to fly, he had no choice but to start his journey in this alien land by walking.

Upon getting out of the stream, he walked his way and passed through a very thick forest. There, he

laid eyes on a broad road that seemed empty. As a result, he had no chance to even ask where he

was.

'Where should I go now?' Rocky wondered. Looking at the two sides of the road, he thought that

perhaps, he would be lucky enough if he chose the southern path.

Frankly, luck was always on Rocky's side. In fact, it was not long after that he saw a carriage moving

towards him. Upon looking at it closely, he found out that it was not really an ordinary carriage per se.

As a matter of fact, it was packed with cargoes with a slender and seemingly powerful spiritual beast as

its driver, speeding its way on the road.

"Wow, I never thought that a beast that size can move so fast after all!" Rocky exclaimed as he

examined it from a professional point of view. Based on how it moved, the spiritual beast driving it must

be at least at the Supernal Stage in the Wild Spirit Land. On the other hand, such a spiritual beast was

only used to drive a carriage, which was enough to change his expectations of this unknown land.

"Uhm, excuse me?" Rocky asked loudly, trying to grab the beast's attention. He did not hesitate to step

forward and wave his hand so that the carriage would stop. At that time, the most important thing for

him to know was where he was.

But unfortunately, the carriage did not slow down at all. Instead, it even sped up almost instantly. With a

whooshing sound, it passed by Rocky and vanished at the end of the road in the twinkling of an eye.

"Hey! Are you afraid that I'll rob you? Excuse me, but I'm not a bandit if that's what you're thinking!"

Rocky huffed from behind. Beyond anything, he felt immensely frustrated. However, there was nothing

he could do but keep walking.

After a couple of minutes, another carriage, driven by a spiritual beast just like the one that had passed

by, was approaching him.

He already learned his lesson from the first carriage, so he made it to a point to stop in the middle of

the road. In this way, there was no excuse for the carriage to drive past him again.

But to his surprise, his plan still failed. This second carriage sped as fast as lightning, completely

ignoring him without even reducing its speed.

In all honesty, Rocky could have stopped the carriage by using his strength. But since he was a

newcomer, he wanted to keep a low profile as much as possible. Thus, he immediately moved to the

side to dodge the carriage since it was rushing towards him so fast and ignoring him again. In a snap,

this second carriage just brushed past him.

The man driving the carriage turned around and cursed furiously, "Brat, how could you be so blind? I

am right here, you idiot!"

'What a completely arrogant being! I should have just torn his carriage apart when I had the chance!

Oh, forget it. I'd better summon Glutton as a ride,' Rocky thought to himself. His last battle with Alston

took the lives of all his spiritual beasts. Now, only Glutton remained to keep him company.

Meanwhile, another carriage was fast approaching. Only this time, it was not carrying any cargoes.

This third carriage was well decorated, which gave the impression that it was carrying people with high

social status. Its driver, on the other hand, was breathtaking. It resembled a unicorn, blue from head to

toe, that walked as fast as a creature could fly.

When he saw this, Rocky's lips gave a smirk, and his eyes immediately flashed sinisterly. Thinking fast,

he hid behind some trees beside the road. With great timing, he rushed out of the forest as soon as the

third carriage approached. At the same time, he used a tiny portion of his strength to purposely knock

the carriage a little askew. Without thinking twice, he let himself fall on the ground and closed his eyes

as if it was the carriage's fault for putting him in such a position.

As he expected, the fancy carriage instantly came into a halt. Then, the driver clad in brocaded clothes

immediately jumped off the carriage. He then looked at Rocky, who was lying on the ground. Upon

seeing that Rocky's clothes were dirty and torn, he shook his head in disdain, as if regarding Rocky as

a homeless man.

"What's happening, Ramon? Why are we stopping?" A sweet and melodious voice came from the

carriage behind the spiritual beast, like that of a singing lark.

Meanwhile, Rocky began groaning in agony, now that he had successfully drawn the master's

attention.

"I am so sorry, but I had to see what happened. Apparently, a homeless man suddenly rushed into the

lane and bumped into our carriage," Ramon, the driver, replied immediately.

"Oh, my! Is he hurt?" The sweet voice in the car was raised a little.

"It looks like he is seriously injured. But he did this to himself. He was the one who rushed in and

bumped on us. He still deserves this even if he died," Ramon replied coldly.

"How can you say that? Saving a life is better than building a seven level pagoda! Take him to the

carriage. Ask Doctor Lloyd to treat him as soon as we return!" displeased, the sweet voice immediately

responded.

Hearing the conversation, Rocky was more than delighted to know that his plan actually worked.

Moreover, he was in luck to have met such a kind-hearted young lady who was willing to help him.

However, in order to be more convincing, he continued to groan miserably.

But Roman did not believe him. Instead, he cast him a glare full of fury and hesitantly picked him up

with one hand. He threw Rocky onto the seat next to him, sat back on his seat, and continued to drive.

On the other hand, Rocky was satisfied that he had got on the carriage smoothly. However, he took his

time and did not get up just yet and continued to lie on the seat. At the same time, he glanced at the

back from his peripheral view. From what he saw, there was a beautiful and elegant figure leisurely

lying on her side, wearing a white gauze and purple dress. To his dismay, he was not able to see the

lady clearly because of the dimness around him and the risk of exposing his true strength.

After pretending for a while, Rocky took in a deep breath, as if he had come back to life. Then, he

leaned against the carriage, squinted at Ramon and stammered, "Th... thank you for taking me to the

carriage, b... buddy. I would have died if... if you left me there."

"If you'd ask me, I'd say you deserve to be left there. I mean, why did you come out suddenly? Ally is

Miss Hannah's favorite beast. If anything happens to it, you will be dead for sure!" Ramon said crossly

and glared at Rocky.

"Is that so? Luckily, it's just fine. Otherwise, I would have died of guilt," Rocky said with profound

respect and humility, as he bowed his head a little.

"You're clearly fine now. Get out of the carriage. Now!" Ramon suddenly demanded upon noticing that

Rocky's injury was not as bad as he had thought.

"Wow, wait. Hold it right there, buddy! Come on, can't you see that at least two of my ribs were broken?

Look, you broke my waist and twisted my legs! I can't even climb, let alone walk out of here," Rocky

groaned with a miserable face.

"Give me a break! How can you speak so fluently when you are injured like this?" Ramon squinted and

said doubtfully.

"Ouch! It's killing me! Ouch!" Rocky screamed deliberately.

"Shut the hell up!" Ramon shouted furiously.

Meanwhile, Rocky shut his mouth to pacify the man. But somehow, he didn't put his heart to rest.

Instead, he observed Ramon carefully. Judging from the way Ramon was dressed, he could tell that he

was the guard of the lady at the back. Despite Ramon's spiritual aura being restrained, he still was not

able to hide the immense spiritual power coming from him. Moreover, he should be at least equal to the

masters at the Immortal Stage. Nevertheless, he was only a guard, while the guards in the Wild Spirit

Land did not usually have this kind of strength. Deducing from his clues, Rocky concluded that this land

was superior to the Wild Spirit Land.

Furthermore, he believed that Ramon was different from the members of the Shura Race he had seen

before. As far as he could remember, they were no different from human beings. In addition, the Holy

Lord had also said that aside from the Shura Race, there were also other humans and members of the

spiritual race living in other worlds. With that being said, it was obvious that Ramon and the lady in the

carriage were all human beings.

Rocky was lucky that day. Perhaps, it would be a different story if he came across the members of the

Shura Race.
