Soon, Rocky put on a flimsy white gown, then walked up to Hannah.

"You will fall asleep during the treatment." Rocky's words made Hannah blush a bright crimson. After

all, she was a conservative woman.

"Don't worry, Miss Hannah," Rocky said calmly, as though he'd read her mind. "I'm a gentleman, and

I'm not interested in doing anything to you, given the circumstances."

Flustered, Hannah said hurriedly, "Start already!"

Rocky nodded curtly and prepared the gene serum he made using Hannah's gene. When Hannah saw

the syringe in Rocky's hand, her rosy pink cheeks suddenly turned pale. "What's that?"

"It's the gene serum," Rocky answered.

"Are you going to inject me with it?" she asked warily, her voice trembling. The long, slim needle looked

incredibly daunting to her.

"Yes."

"Will it hurt?" Hannah asked, her eyes as wide and as round as coins.

"No." Rocky paused. Then, he smiled. "Well, I mean, the spiritual beasts didn't scream when I injected

them..."

"How dare you liken me to a spiritual beast?" Hannah cried, aghast.

"If you were a spiritual beast, you'd be the most beautiful one among them," Rocky said with a devious

smile.

"I don't want to be a beast!" she whined, sticking out her lower lip in a decided pout.

"It's done," Rocky said suddenly.

Hannah was stunned for a moment. Turning around slowly, she found that Rocky had already stuck the

needle of gene serum into the vein of her arm. Except for a small sting, she didn't feel anything else.

It didn't take long for the gene serum to start taking effect. Hannah started to feel drowsy all of a

sudden. She didn't want to fall asleep, but soon, she nodded off.

After seeing that Hannah had fallen asleep, Rocky sat beside her and scanned her physical condition

using his spiritual power. He needed to see if the gene serum would be rejected by her body. If that

happened, he would need to improve the gene, which would prove to be very troublesome.

Six hours passed in a flash. To Rocky's relief, there was no rejection reaction from Hannah. Her body

merged with the first dose of gene serum smoothly. If the coming two dosages also went so smoothly,

the probability of repairing her body defect would be very high.

Around that time, Hannah started to stir. Finally, her eyes fluttered open slowly, as though she were in a

daze. It took a while for her vision to clear, and when it did, she was greeted by the sight of Rocky by

her bedside.

"How long have I been asleep?" she asked with a frown, her face turning slightly red. With Rocky

staring intently at her, she felt rather flustered again. Yet somehow, at the same time, she felt at ease

with him.

"A little over six hours," Rocky answered.

"And how about my condition?" Of course, Hannah cared about her own wellbeing.

"You're fine." Rocky smiled gently. "The first dose was not rejected by your body. However, let's hope

everything else goes smoothly in the future."

Hannah heaved a sigh of relief. She tried to stand up. Maybe because of the effect of the gene serum,

she immediately felt dizzy and lost balance. Rocky acted fast, catching her in his arms.

He cradled her gently and asked, his voice tinged with concern, "Miss Hannah, are you alright?"

"I'm fine," she replied hastily. She pushed Rocky away weakly and then managed to stand up straight.

"Allow me to escort you out," Rocky said with a slight bow.

Then, the two of them walked out of the lab and left the Magic Spiritual Space.

"I hope you won't tell anyone about what happened today!" Rocky spoke, his eyes twinkling

mischievously.

"My, you really have a lot of secrets!" Hannah wagged a slender finger at him.

"Everyone has their secret." Rocky smiled. "But as long as it does others no harm, it should be fine,

right?"

"I can go the rest of the way by myself. You don't need to go with me." Hannah decidedly ignored

Rocky's question.

"Come back in five days," Rocky said briskly. "I'll inject the second dosage then."

"Okay, I'll come by myself." Hannah nodded.

When they arrived at the door of Rocky's room,

Hannah bid him farewell.

Once she'd exited the room, the person who managed the beast farm walked over to her and said,

"Miss Hannah, I promise I'll keep the matter between you and Master Basil a secret. Additionally, I have

given the order that no one will spread what happened today."

"We only discussed important matters in the room," Hannah said indifferently. "There's nothing to

spread." And with that, Hannah left with her head held high.

Watching her receding figure, the manager murmured to himself, "No one will believe that you two only

talked in the room..."

Since Ramon took over the affairs of the Security Hall, Rocky had a lot of time on his hands. He

continued his gene research. The beast embryo that had been cultivated through asexual reproduction

was able to form into a cub, which meant that he was successful in using the basic technique to fuse

the genes of the bests of the Wild Spirit Land and the Supreme Ether Land. Whether the spiritual beast

could let the different genes of the beasts from two lands give play to their advantages depended on

the growth of the cub.

"It will take at least half a month for the cub to fully take shape," Rocky muttered as he eyed the cub

floating in the nutrient liquid.
