The Medallion Chapter 1502 What Task

The members of the Sword Spirit Sect exchanged confused glances, unsure as to why Timothy gave

such an order.

Before they could respond, however, a man in white appeared. Rocky had seen the man several times

and he was Timothy's personal guard. He dragged Miguel to the front and made him kneel.

"Leader, why do you punish me? I did nothing wrong! I just got rid of the man that could've put our sect

at risk!" Miguel pleaded. Obviously, he was still under the impression he'd done the sect a huge favor.

"You will go to the icy cliff to ponder on your faults. You won't be allowed to leave until I say so!"

Timothy suddenly sighed. "Our Sword Spirit Sect owes Basil too much." Without even casting a glance

at his godson, he then abruptly left.

Hannah, on the other hand, took a look at Miguel. Shaking her head in disappointment, she then

walked over to Ramon, who had Tessa in his arms, and said, "Let's go."

Ramon nodded and followed Hannah's lead.

On the other side, after Rocky was taken away from the Sword Spirit Sect, he was taken away by the

elder of the Sovereign Pavilion. Because Benedict knew that if Rocky was taken to the Sovereign

Pavilion, he would probably be crippled even if he wasn't killed. So he didn't ask about it and directly

took his members back to the Grand Sky Sect.

"I really don't understand what the elder is thinking! We went through such lengths to catch this guy!"

"He killed Knox. Anyway, he will die. I would rather kill him right now!"

"I heard that the elder also wanted him dead, but it seems that someone persuaded him to let that guy

live."

"Really? Is he significant in any way?"

The team led by the elder of the Sovereign Pavilion continued to grumble. Rocky was not some big

shot, but the elder personally led the team to catch him. It was rather confusing for the team members.

Rocky could hear everything they said. Choosing to keep quiet, he couldn't help but bear a cold

expression. He knew he could escape if he really wanted to. However, he had a hunch that something

was at play here, and he wanted to see how it panned out.

In the dead of night, the team escorted Rocky to a remote and deserted cliff.

'I suppose they're not going to take me back to the Sovereign Pavilion,' Rocky wondered.

About two hours later, they made it to the top of a cliff. A cold wind blew and ruffled their clothes.

Everyone couldn't help but shiver, from the cold and the chilling atmosphere.

"This should be the spot," the elder said with a wave of his hand. "Leave him here. Let's go!"

"Are you really going to leave me here like this?" Rocky frowned.

"If you can make it down the cliff alive today, then you're a lucky guy. If you can't, well, then you should

blame yourself for you offended the wrong person," the elder said abruptly.

"Did I offend anyone?" Rocky asked in confusion.

Without gracing him with an answer, the elder and the team left Rocky there.

Watching their receding figures, Rocky narrowed his eyes. Studying his surroundings carefully, he felt

that there was an unusual aura in the air, but he couldn't describe it.

After hesitating for a moment, he decided to take a step forward...

Bang!

All of a sudden, a spiritual light flashed under Rocky's foot, surprising him for a moment.

"I don't know who's out there," Rocky announced, cupping his hands modestly. "Whoever it is, please

show yourself!"

"Ha-ha, brat!" Suddenly, a sweet voice echoed across the cliff.

Rocky squinted. The voice sounded familiar to him. Suddenly, a light flashed before him and a plump

figure appeared before him.

"It's you! Long time no see!" Rocky recognized the figure immediately; it was Eunice.

"Surprised?" Eunice smiled widely. "Truly, it's been a while!" she said.

"Were you the one who asked the Sovereign Pavilion to let me go?" Rocky instantly guessed.

"Well, I'm not powerful enough to make it listen to all my demands. But if it weren't for me, you'd be

dead by now. Fortunately for you, the Sovereign Pavilion is sensible enough not to hurt you on your

way here," Eunice answered.

"Then, thank you so much!" Rocky said gratefully, decidedly ignoring Eunice's ambiguity.

"Don't thank me. I only saved you because I was ordered to come here," Eunice answered, crossing

her arms over her chest.

"Order? Whose order?" Rocky echoed, his eyes narrowing.

"Now's not the time to discuss such things," she said mysteriously. "You just need to know that, now,

you're my follower and you need to help me carry out a task."

"What task?" Of course, Rocky knew that Eunice did not save him out of kindness. There was no such

thing as a free lunch in this world, let alone saving lives for free.

"I want you to come with me to the Sky-suppressing School right this instant," Eunice replied.

"The Sky-suppressing School?" Rocky echoed, deep in thought. "Does it have anything to do with the

Sky-suppressing Mansion?" The name sounded familiar to him.

"That's right." Eunice nodded. "The school is founded by the Sky-suppressing Sect, and it's where the

elites of the sect gather. There, you will see countless warriors at the King Realm. Moreover, it is also a

place conducive to improving one's strength."

"You saved my life to bring me to a good school? What's in it for you?" Rocky had a hunch something

exciting was in store for him.

"You don't need to know that," she answered with a dismissive wave of her hand. "What you do need to

know is that once we enter the school, you must become a representative at the Spiritual Infant

Contest of the three major schools in three months."

"The Spiritual Infant Contest?" Rocky raised an eyebrow.

"It is a top-level contest for the King Realm warriors with Spiritual Infants," Eunice explained patiently.

"The winner gets a very handsome reward. Also, they'll get the chance to break through to the Imperial

Soul!"

"Oh, that sounds good," Rocky said with a smile. "Then, are you saying that our task is to be the

representatives of the Spiritual Infant Contest? That's it?"

"This is the first part of the task. I will tell you the next part once we manage to do that," Eunice said in

a low voice, keeping Rocky in suspense.
