"Oh, it's him. But shouldn't he be working in the beast farm instead? I mean, why did he go to the guard

team? What's going on, Ramon? Tell me. Are you hiding something from me?" Harrison interrogated.

At that moment, he recalled that he had asked Ramon to set Rocky up to work in the beast farm. But

as it turned out, Rocky was enrolled in Ramon's guard team instead.

"My Lord, Basil was able to pass the entrance exam just a few days ago. Now, he is a preliminary

disciple of the Sword Spirit City and has been assigned to my guard team," Ramon replied in a matter

of fact.

"Is that so? Did he really pass the entrance exam? Interesting. I have tested him before, and I thought

that he is nothing but an ordinary person. But what baffles me the most is that he can actually become

a spirit warrior in such a short time, and also a disciple of our sect. How could that be? Tell me, Ramon,

is there something I don't know?" Harrison asked curiously as his voice raised a little.

"I'm not quite sure, My Lord. All I know is that if he did not try his best to protect Miss Hannah, then I'm

afraid that I wouldn't have been able to arrive in time," Roman said with all honesty. Somehow, it was

very unusual for Ramon to put in a good word for Rocky. After all, he was not so friendly with him to

begin with.

"Hannah, is this true?" Harrison asked as he placed his gaze on Hannah.

"I believe so. Basil had almost lost his life just by trying to protect me," Hannah replied with a

reassuring nod.

"In that case, then you should be rewarded handsomely for doing a good job on protecting Hannah. I

will ask the leader of the Security Hall to reward you and your Cloudlet Team for your contribution!"

Harrison was a man who always had a clear distinction between rewards and punishments.

"Thank you so much, My Lord!" Ramon cupped his hands, bowed a little and said.

Soon after, Hannah and Ramon left the hall together.

"Ramon, can I ask you a quick question? What do you think of Basil?" As they walked, Hannah asked

him out of the blue.

"Do you really want me to be honest with you, Miss Hannah?" Ramon said in a low voice as he

narrowed his eyes.

But as a reply, Hannah nodded heavily.

"To tell you the truth, I have always felt the young bloke to be a little suspicious. But somehow, I can't

really pinpoint why I feel that way," Ramon answered frankly.

"You're not alone. Actually, I think the same way." Unexpectedly, Hannah looked him in the eye and

agreed with him.

"What makes you say that?" At that moment, Ramon was very curious and eager to hear Hannah's

side of the story.

"As far as I have observed, we are facing masters at the seventh stage of the Spirit Realm. I just find it

odd that he could manage to hold on for a long time. I am certain that this is something that no ordinary

spirit warrior can do. Plus, he owns a Spiritual Weapon—a dagger, which is rare to find. All the clues

don't add up," Hannah remarked. Despite not being a spirit warrior, she could feel without using her

spiritual sense that Rocky was out of the ordinary. After all, she grew up in the Sword Spirit Sect, thus,

sharpening her intuition and her spiritual sense.

"So, why didn't you tell the leader? I say that we should make a prompt decision in case of

unnecessary trouble since Basil's identity is becoming more and more suspicious," Ramon advised

immediately. Without a doubt, he still had a deep prejudice against Rocky.

"Well, I don't know. I mean, he may be suspicious, but judging from the way he protected me, I don't

think he is that dangerous. Even if he is hiding something from us, as long as he is not doing anything

that could potentially threaten our sect, just turn a blind eye to it!" When he heard how Hannah even

tried to defend Rocky, Ramon's eyes widened in shock.

"But... Miss Hannah..." Ramon still felt that her advice was rather inappropriate and not the best for the

situation.

"And besides, if it weren't for him, then I wouldn't have been safe and sound right now. Just keep a

keen eye on him for now. If he does anything wrong, then you report straight to me. If that happens,

then I will make a decision," Hannah said as she schemed.

"Okay, sure thing. I will." At that moment, Ramon had no other choice but to cup his hands and follow

Hannah's orders.

"But I think you must have already known about his hidden skills beforehand, so you deliberately

arranged him to protect me. After all, I don't think anyone expects him to have the ability to protect me,"

Hannah suddenly said suggestively.

"Well, uhm, that..." Ramon stammered as he did not know what to say.

"Ramon, you're only one step away from the King Realm. I will ask my father later for another quota to

enter the Martial Spirit Graveyard. Afterwards, you can also go in," Hannah offered.

"No, I don't think I can do that. If others knew that you gave me the qualification, I'm afraid it would

cause some unnecessary suspicion. I think it is best to fight for the qualification through the competition

so that it is fair and square!" Ramon's expression changed and immediately waved his hand.

Obviously, he didn't want to cause Hannah any trouble.

"There is only one quota, and there are many masters at the seventh grade of the Spirit Realm in our

sect. I know that you are already one of the top masters, but there is no assurance that you can win.

Besides, you deserve this. You have been loyal to the Sword Spirit City, and you deserve this more

than anyone else. Do not let this opportunity go to waste," Hannah urged gravely.

"Thank you very much for this, Miss Hannah." Seeing that Hannah had already made up her mind,

Ramon knew that it was useless to say too much at that point. Moreover, he thought that turning her

offer down would make her very displeased.

"Okay. I'm leaving now." Hannah nodded slightly and then left.

Looking at the disappearing figure of Hannah, Ramon could not help but mutter to himself, "What on

earth is Basil hiding?"

Meanwhile, Rocky noticed that Tessa was approaching him hurriedly as soon as he came out of the

healing room.

"Basil! There you are. Are you okay?" Tessa asked as looked at Rocky anxiously.

"It's nothing. Why are you here?" Rocky said, shaking his head in dismissal.

"I heard that the Robber Regiment ambushed the guard team, and many of the guards died and were

injured. I was shocked to hear that you were badly injured, too for protecting Hannah," out of breath,

Tessa stated as fast as she could. She came to him without hesitation after hearing that he was

seriously injured.

"Like what I said, it's nothing. It's just a minor injury," Rocky said indifferently.

"Quit saying that it's not a big deal! Have you seen yourself?" Seeing that most of Rocky's body was

wrapped in gauze with blood still oozing out of it, Tessa's eyes turned red and felt sorry for him.

"It doesn't matter. Your care heals better than any elixir," Rocky teased.

"What are you talking about?" Tessa glared at Rocky and continued, "Do you want me to send you

back to have a rest?"

"No, that won't be necessary. I can go back by myself. I wouldn't want to bother you and be a burden.

I'll just come to you tomorrow." As soon as he finished his words, Rocky left immediately.

After returning to the beast farm, Rocky quickly untied the bandage on his body, and then took a drop

of magical saliva to heal his wounds. Not long after, the wounds on his body were almost healed in an

instant.

"By now, Hannah and Ramon must have changed their impression of me. It can be a little easier for me

in the Sword Spirit Sect in the future with their help. But now, the most important thing is to break

through to the King Realm," Rocky murmured to himself.

Meanwhile, the next day, the sun rose high, casting light on Rocky's face.

Due to Rocky and Ramon's contribution in protecting Hannah and the ethereal crystals, the leader of

the Security Hall received Harrison's order to reward them. Rocky had made the most contribution.

Therefore, he was rewarded with ten low-grade ethereal crystals, three middle-grade ones and one

high-grade directly. At that moment, the other guards all looked at the ethereal crystals with prying and

envious eyes.

In the Supreme Ether Land, ethereal crystals were considered to be necessary for a warrior to

cultivate. There, they fused the spiritual power within the ethereal crystals, making the cultivation yield

twice the result with only half the effort.

Generally, ethereal crystals were extracted from ores of some mines with unusually rich spiritual

energy. Moreover, they were naturally formed and were very rare to find.

Only a few forces possessed this kind of extracting technology in the three major regions of the

Supreme Ether Land, so the ethereal crystals became very popular for their rarity and use. As a result,

the spirit warriors treated the ethereal crystals as one of the common trading currency used in the

Supreme Ether Land.
