With Rocky able to pass through the cave, Seth and the other candidates also tried their luck.

Unfortunately, they were blocked; they couldn't enter the cave. Left with no other options, they were

forced to turn back and explore other routes.

Rocky, on the other hand, pressed onward, overcoming any and all challenges that came his way. He

moved at an astonishing speed, leaving most of the middle-grade Spiritual Emperors and all the low-

grade Spiritual Emperors behind. On the other hand, he gradually closed the gap between himself and

those ahead of him.

"Seems like I'm near the end of this path. I wonder what kind of trial will be waiting for me there," Rocky

murmured to himself when he roughly calculated where he was.

A couple of minutes later, just as he had expected, he came across a strange stone path. The path

extended downward, terminating in a huge, dark cave. On either side of the stone path stood various

ghost statues, each one with a unique hellish, distorted face.

Making his way along the path, he soon heard noises from up ahead. From afar, he could see two high-

grade Spiritual Emperors and five middle-grade Spiritual Emperors were fighting a giant beast. The

beast's massive body blocked the entrance to the huge cave and was emitting an ominous black aura.

"It's a diabolic beast!" Rocky exclaimed in disbelief. Although it was no secret that the Holy Heaven

Palace was home to countless strange creatures, it was still shocking to see a diabolic beast here.

Moreover, this diabolic beast in particular was as powerful as a high-grade Spiritual Emperor.

Despite their combined forces, these participants didn't seem to be gaining any advantage over the

diabolic beast. It was obviously giving them a tough time.

Rocky squinted, trying to make out the warriors. To his surprise, he found that Isabel and Lilith were

there.

After a few more rounds of futile fighting, some of the warriors began to look discouraged. One by one,

they began to retreat.

Towards the end, only two Spiritual Emperors at the premium stage remained, along with Lilith and

Isabel. However, things didn't look so good for them.

At some point, the diabolic beast injured both Lilith and Isabel, one after another. The two girls

retreated temporarily, long enough to heal themselves.

When they saw what had happened, the other two high-grade Spiritual Emperors realized that it was a

futile battle, so they too retreated and left.

The diabolic beast guarding the cave, on the other hand, did not chase after them. Instead, it stood

firmly and vigilantly watched the horizon for incoming intruders.

Rocky took this as his opportunity to show himself to Lilith, handing her some medicine.

"Who are you?" Lilith asked warily. Rocky hadn't revealed to her his identity as Basil. "Oh, I'm a

Spiritual Emperor of the Di Clan, a friend of Basil's," Rocky told her reassuringly.

"Oh, I see, Basil's friend." At the mention of his name, Lilith immediately relaxed.

"Take the medicine already, before your injury gets worse," Rocky urged.

"I have brought my own medicine with me," Lilith replied stubbornly.

"This is no ordinary medicine," Rocky insisted.

"Really?" Lilith accepted it albeit a bit dubiously. After eyeing it carefully, she popped it into her mouth.

Almost instantaneously, she felt a stream of spiritual power explode and surge within her, quickly

spreading all over her body and repairing her damaged meridians.

"You weren't kidding. That medicine packs a powerful punch..." Lilith was pleasantly surprised. With

ordinary medicine, one needed to activate their spiritual power to make it work. However, the medicine

she just took healed her automatically without any external force.

"Wait for me here," Rocky instructed. Then, he walked over to Isabel, who had taken refuge nearby,

and handed her some medicine too.

Despite meeting Rocky in disguise once before, Isabel obviously didn't remember him. Thus, when

Rocky offered her something, she wrinkled her nose with disgust. "No, thanks. I don't need it!"

"You are badly injured. If you don't heal yourself in time, it will affect your subsequent trials..." Rocky

said patiently.

"We don't know each other. I doubt you're kind enough to help a stranger." Her prejudice was evident.

Isabel thought lowly of Rocky, especially since he was human.

"Ha ha, you're not wrong!" Rocky chuckled. "The truth is, a friend of mine asked me to deliver a

message to you. He said he's really looking forward to the day you can compete with him in terms of

mysterious military arrays again."

Hearing this, Isabel was stunned. Very few humans knew her original identity, and even fewer knew

she was proficient in mysterious military arrays. Something seemed to click in her mind.

"This friend of yours, is he..." Isabel's voice trailed off hesitantly.

"My only job was to send you that message. Now, take the medicine. Are we good?" Rocky asked,

smiling coyly as he pushed the medicine into her hand.

Isabel took the medicine in a daze. When she came to her senses, Rocky had already left and returned

to Lilith's side.

"Do you know her?" Lilith couldn't help but ask when she saw Rocky's interaction with Isabel just now.

"She is also a friend of Basil's," Rocky answered briefly.

"Basil must have a lot of friends," Lilith sighed.

Without replying, Rocky smiled at her fondly.

"This diabolic beast is powerful. I didn't expect that, even with all our strength combined, we wouldn't

be able to defeat it," Lilith added, her expression darkening.

"I'm afraid its strength is very close to that of a peak-staged Spiritual Emperor. It's really not surprising

that you can't defeat it, even though you all worked together," Rocky said, trying to comfort her.

"This should be the last challenge of this trail path. We can't fail here!" Lilith buried her face in her

hands in frustration.

"Let me have a try!" The truth was, Rocky had been considering this for a while now. Lilith was right;

this was the last challenge, so he couldn't just stop here. While he could've found other ways to

complete this trial path, he wouldn't have been able to bring Lilith with him. Moreover, if Valeria and the

others also ended up on this path, they too would spend a lot of time and energy dealing with this

monster. Therefore, he decided to handle this beast for good.

"Don't, it's too dangerous!" Lilith warned, her tone colored with worry.

But Rocky just winked at her. Then he strode over towards the diabolic beast.

As he approached the cave entrance's guardian beast, Rocky immediately activated the Mysterious

Beast Transformation Skill, intending to enter the diabolic beast's spiritual sense to subdue it. However,

the diabolic beast's power was stronger than he expected. Even though he was close to being a

Spiritual Emperor at peak state, he was still unable to enter the diabolic beast's spiritual sense, since

the latter was able to resist him.

"This is going to be troublesome..." Just as Rocky's mind was racing to come up with a solution to

subdue the diabolic beast, the latter seemed to have a premonition and suddenly reached forward to

crush the former.

Fortunately, Rocky managed to dodge to the side in time. As he did so, he called out to the diabolic

beast, "Good boy, I don't want to fight with you!"
