Rocky's fists clenched as he listened to Alyssa. If he really wanted to do it, he would not hesitate.

However, Alyssa's change was too sudden, and it confused him. Something felt wrong, but he couldn't

quite figure out what it was.

"What's stopping you? Can't bring yourself to do it? I'm your enemy now. Being merciful toward your

enemy is tantamount to being cruel to yourself. Didn't you kill the spiritual race beings without a second

thought? Why do you hesitate now?" Sarcasm dripped from Alyssa's tone as she confronted him. It

seemed as though she were deliberately provoking Rocky.

Rocky's gaze flew to Alyssa's face. He glared at her for a brief moment before he turned and left.

"If you don't kill me now, I will definitely kill you!" Alyssa called out as soon as she saw Rocky leave.

But her threat didn't affect Rocky. He walked away without sparing her a second glance.

Alyssa's shoulders drooped, and the spark in her eyes died. She muttered to herself, "Don't blame me!"

Meanwhile, Alston was delighted to learn that Alyssa had succeeded in her plan to ambush Lance and

cause his death out of serious injury. As he was the West United Army's Commander in Chief, Lance's

severe injuries and subsequent death left the army leaderless. Their morale was greatly affected as if

they had seriously come under attack. Alston believed if they continued to chase the survivors, they

might destroy the West United Army completely.

"Your Majesty, it seems that Alyssa genuinely wants to avenge her brother. She killed Lance and

proved herself. Lance was Isis' father and Basil's father-in-law. If Alyssa weren't genuinely determined,

she would never have done this," Dean, who stood beside Alston in the Spiritual King Hall, remarked

with a bright smile.

"Alyssa has surprised me. I didn't expect her to be so cruel toward Basil. Well, as long as she wants to

help us, I believe that with her ability, she will soon defeat the United Army..." Alston sneered.

"We can't forget that we are only using her. She is troublesome, and we must get rid of her as soon as

the battle is over. By the way, send more spies to watch her. We can't let her do anything harmful to us.

I can't trust her completely..." Alston instructed Dean after careful consideration.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I'll do it right away." Dean bowed and left.

"When will Basil integrate the other half of the Divine Spiritual Source?" At that moment, Alston's tone

suddenly became sinister.

"Why does it have to be him to do that? Why can't we do that?" Immediately after, Alston's tone

returned to normal.

"Because whoever started this trouble needs to end it..."

"What do you mean?"

"This doesn't concern you. You just need to ensure that he finished that as soon as possible."

"That's easy. As long as the United Army is cornered, he will have no choice except to use the Divine

Spiritual Source to deal with us."

"Holy Lord worries me, though. He hasn't appeared since he woke. That could only mean that he is

secretly plotting something. We have to be vigilant..."

"Well, who is more powerful? Holy Lord or Ice Queen?" Alston couldn't help but ask.

"Holy Lord has the power to destroy heaven and earth and create a new world. It was he who chose us

at that time."

"He has the power to create a new world?" Alston's eyes widened with the shock coursing through him.

He couldn't quite understand what it meant.

"Don't worry. No matter what happens, he will never be our enemy. You can be assured of that. But I

don't feel at ease with his presence. Of course, Ice Queen is troublesome in comparison. Not only is

she unpredictable and temperamental, but her only goal is to revive Divine King Belial. It is still unclear

whether she will suddenly change her mind. This woman is ruthless, and that makes her terrifying. If

Divine King Belial hadn't seduced her, he wouldn't have reached his ambitions. We'd better let Basil

fuse the complete Divine Spiritual Source as soon as possible. It would help in case anything

unexpected happens..."

"Don't worry. He will be desperate soon enough," Alston sneered, and his expression darkened.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Just then, a deafening sound emanated from a nearby cliff. All the creatures spun around with widened

eyes only to see a ray of flame cut off the protruding end of the cliff, splitting it into two. Like a landslide

ushered in by a roaring tsunami, the cliff collapsed into the abyss, and dust billowed toward the sky.

A moment later, an evil shadow shrouded in black flames rose from the dust. His cold face was

expressionless, and yet, intense fury burned in his sharp eyes as he swept his gaze straight to the sky.

"It seems that you are furious. This is the first time that you have shown such emotions since you

entered the evil world. That woman is important to you. Otherwise, none of this would affect you like

this." The voice of the Dragon-shaped Soul Beast rang out in Rocky's mind.

"When did you become so meddlesome?" Rocky replied with a snort.

"I feel the need to remind you that no woman should affect you to this extent. Don't forget that the fate

of the whole world rests on your shoulders..." the Dragon-shaped Soul Beast warned.

"Do you think I am that kind of person?" Rocky's eyes were simultaneously cold and murderous as he

retorted.

"If it was the old you who had said that, I might have believed you. You are aware that things wouldn't

have come to this point if it weren't for the heavy burden you shoulder. You wouldn't have had to kill her

brother so cruelly. But everything is destined. You can't escape your fate. It doesn't matter whether she

hates you, wants to kill you, or even betrays you. You have to bear it. It's just like Divine King Belial,

who, in the past, carried all the curses but still remained unchanged. Otherwise, the Wild Spirit Land

wouldn't have become like this," the Dragon-shaped Soul Beast explained just before it released a

deep sigh.

"There is no need to worry as I'm not who I used to be. I'm just a little unhappy. Although Alyssa's

betrayal is beyond my expectation, it is understandable. After all, I killed Woods in front of her," Rocky

stated calmly. He would never forget the hurt that glimmered in Alyssa's eyes when she witnessed him

killing Woods. He knew at that moment that no matter what he did, he would never be able to redeem

himself. He just didn't expect that Alyssa would betray him so openly and even go to the extent of

helping Alston.

But these were not important concerns. What worried Rocky was the thought that he might have to

face Alyssa on the battlefield soon. And that was why he couldn't be indifferent. Acutely aware of the

stakes, one thing was for certain—he wouldn't show her any mercy. After all, he had a critical task to

accomplish, and he couldn't let affection and friendship stop him. Besides, he didn't have much time

left.

Then, Rocky flew toward the West United Army's military camp...
