But since Rocky was able to preserve his strength at the peak of the Immortal Stage, he directly used

his spiritual power to defend himself.

A moment later, just a couple of feet from Rocky, a sword shadow materialized from out of nowhere.

Just as it was about to pierce through Rocky's chest, the spiritual power protecting his body blocked it

directly when it was only less than an inch away from him.

The man clothed in the white robe, together with his two companions from Sword Spirit City, stared with

wide eyes. They instantly realized that Rocky was protected by some spiritual power. However, they

couldn't sense any trace of spiritual aura coming from him.

Even so, the man in white wasn't ready to give up, and his strength heightened right at once.

"I quit." Rocky knew that he couldn't create a lot of noise, so he waved his hand gently.

Clang!

The white-robed man's spiritual sword instantly broke into two pieces.

"My precious sword!" The man furiously glared at Rocky when he saw that his spiritual sword got

destroyed. It wasn't just an ordinary functional weapon since it had immeasurable value and was made

of high-quality materials. He never saw it coming for Rocky to break it that easily.

"I haven't done anything." Rocky shrugged his shoulders.

"Who the hell are you?" the man shouted, staring intently into Rocky's eyes.

"I already told you. I'm just a handyman," Rocky calmly responded.

"Impossible. You're lying. I saw how you shattered my spiritual sword!" The man vehemently refused to

accept his claim.

"I'm just lucky I got out alive," Rocky stated with a nonchalant smile.

"What are you waiting for? His actions are questionable. Hurry up and take him away at once," the man

yelled out, signaling at the crowd of disciples standing on the training ground's sidelines.

Before long, all of those disciples who were cultivating sprinted forward toward Rocky, encircling him.

When Rocky saw that things were about to get worse, he smiled bitterly and shook his head. He knew

that leaving now was the best choice available. So the moment the disciples swooped down on him, he

shortly vanished from where he stood, successfully evading his enemies.

"Where is he now?" Everyone, including the white-robed man, had a startled look on their faces. They

couldn't figure out which way did Rocky go when he was standing right before them earlier.

After leaving the training ground, Rocky hesitated whether he should stay in the city to seek more

information or leave at once. Basing on what he had witnessed in the training ground, Sword Spirit City

was not an ordinary city. A few of its disciples had at least the strength of the Supernal Stage. So it

could be said that some other cultivators were at the Divine Stage or even the Immortal Stage. Things

would get even more ugly and overwhelming for him if there were cultivators of higher levels.

In short, if his identity got exposed and considering his current strength, his life would be in grave

danger in this city.

Simultaneously, while Rocky was having second thoughts, a huge shadow descended from the sky and

plummeted heavily to the ground, letting out a mournful howl.

Afterward, a sharp and delicate voice cried out, "Oh, my... Nightshade! How are you?"

Rocky followed the voice's direction and saw a delicate figure stumble out from the fallen beast

shadow's backside. The expression on her pleasing face looked tensed. Although this woman was not

as beautiful as those he had contacted before, she was still considered stunning. Underneath the tight

clothes was a very sexy body, and her spiritual power was also very powerful. She should have

reached the primary level of the Immortal Stage and her strength was comparable with Ramon's.

However, the beast shadow soon attracted Rocky's attention because of its dragon-shaped semblance.

It was emitting a spiritual aura at the Divine Stage. If it were in the Wild Spirit Land, it would be

considered a powerful dragon beast!

At this point, a pool of blood had spread out from underneath the beast's body, and its spiritual aura

was declining continuously. It seemed to have some severe injuries, and its condition was already

critical.

"Someone! Help! Please find me a beast curer fast!" the pretty woman begged in desperation.

Some spirit warriors who happened to walk by quickly gathered around and looked over the situation in

no time. Subsequently, several kind warriors took off to find a beast curer at once.

Three men dressed like beast curers rushed over and examined the dragon beast without any delay in

a little while. After they finished checking, they unanimously shook their heads.

"Miss Tessa, Nightshade's internal organs are seriously damaged. There's nothing we can do to stop

the bleeding!" one of the beast curers explained, looking serious.

"What should I do? Oh, I know! Please go and ask Dr. Lloyd to come over. There must be another way

to save it!" the young girl named Tessa yelled. The anxiety she felt had increased further.

"Dr. Lloyd went out of the city together with the governor early this morning," another beast curer

replied.

"What? Then what else should I do? Is Nightshade going to die? I hope not!" Tessa's eyes swelled up,

and it looked like she wanted to cry, but there were no tears.

The three beast curers looked at each other. No one dared to respond.

"Say something!" Tessa glared at them disdainfully.

"Surely, it will die. If we don't stop the bleeding in half an hour, it will lose its life. However, I may be able

to save it," a calm voice pointed out from out of the blue.

The onlookers shifted their attention to where the voice came from and saw a dirty man in ragged

clothes approaching. It was none other than Rocky. Nobody else wore such clothes in this city.

"Who are you? Where are you from?" Tessa knew that Rocky was not from Sword Spirit City, so she

immediately questioned him.

"My identity isn't important. The important thing is that I can save it!" Rocky smiled in response.

"You can save my Nightshade?" Tessa's eyes widened.

"Yes, I can," Rocky replied and nodded.

"Miss Tessa, please think twice. This guy is a stranger, and he's not from Sword Spirit City. We can't

trust him easily!" One of the beast curers voiced out his concern, trying to dissuade her.

"I agree. The three of us can't even save it. So how could he have the cure?" The other two beast

curers didn't trust Rocky as well.

Although the three beast curers were donning ordinary clothes, they were way stronger than the three

disciples that Rocky had seen at the training ground.

"What are you waiting for? Take him down now!"

"Hold on!" At that instant, Tessa stopped them. Then she looked at Rocky and asked, "Can you save

my beast? Tell me!"

"Of course," Rocky asserted.

"What if you can't?" Tessa's beautiful eyes narrowed slightly.

"Then my life will be at your disposal, Miss," Rocky said without mincing his words.

"That's your word, not mine. If you let my beast die, I'll make sure you die with it," Tessa warned,

pointing at Rocky.

"Deal. Can I begin? If we delay this, not even the Gods can save it," Rocky said while glancing at the

beast.

Tessa signaled with a nod.

The three beast curers could do nothing but stand aside as they looked at the situation.

Rocky directly went over to the beast's side and checked its condition. He discovered that a blunt force

had completely punctured its lungs, and several of its aortic arteries had been broken. Under normal

circumstances, it would be impossible to save its life.

However, to Rocky, who was already considered an authority level in healing spiritual beasts, it was an

easy task.

He started the procedure by taking out his surgical tools and fed Uriah's magical saliva to the beast

because it aided the body's recovery by speeding up the process. But the beast's recovery all

depended on whether he could stop the bleeding first.
