He Never Cared About Her
Harold pulled up the message and handed his phone to Jordy.
The message. [Irene, someone pushed me into the water today. I need you to check out Angela and
other suspects. Don‘t text me back. I‘ll call you.)
Harold read it and his face changed slightly. “Miss White…”
Is he referring to Gloria or Angela?
Jordy said nothing with a serious, thoughtful face.
Harold stood beside Jordy. The message set his mind racing. Mr. Collins knew
I could use a program to retrieve deleted messages, or he wouldn‘t come to me.
Gloria deleted the message, and Mr. Collins just restored it.
What‘s going on between Gloria and Angela?
Is there something wrong with Angela?
Harold‘s thoughts were in riotous disarray. He dared not tell Mr. Collins what he was
thinking.
Mr. Collins has a complex relationship with Gloria and Angela. I don‘t know what he‘s
thinking and who he believes.
A moment later, Jordy ordered, “Check it out.”
Harold took a quick peep at Jordy. Does Mr. Collins… suspect Angela?
“Yes, sir.”
What Harold didn‘t know was that Jordy was even more upset right now.
Gloria was pushed into the water, but she didn‘t air her grievance in front of Jordy.
During the marriage, if Jordy heard Gloria whining about something, he would find it
annoying and think she was causing him trouble.
But now, Gloria made no mention of the accident. Jordy didn‘t even know why he was so upset.
Jordy handed Harold the phone and Harold went out.
Suddenly, Jordy remembered something and stopped him. “Wait.”
Harold gave him a quizzical look.
Jordy paused for a while and said, “Get me some medicine.”
Harold looked startled. “What seems to be the problem?”
Harold looked startled. “What seems to be the problem?”
Jordy‘s lips compressed into a thin line, and he said a few words slowly.
Harold stared at him blankly for a moment and then stepped out.
Gloria, whose phone didn‘t work, was going out to get a new one. There was an open phone store, tho
ugh it was late at night.
Gloria opened the door and saw Jordy standing in the
doorway with his hand outstretched. He looked like he was going to open the door.
She stepped aside, and he walked in with a cold face. She then walked out without speaking to him.
Jordy‘s face was grimmer. “Where are you going?”
“To get you a new phone.”
Jordy said nothing.
Gloria continued walking. Suddenly, Jordy strode over to her, grabbed her hand, and tossed her onto the
It happened so fast that
Gloria didn‘t even know how she ended up on the couch. Her eyes widened in shock. What
is he doing?
She looked up at him, too startled to speak.
Jordy looked at her coldly. “You‘re not going anywhere tonight.”
Gloria looked at Jordy in disbelief. “Why?”
“Someone pushed you. Are you sure you‘re going out?”
Gloria looked at Jordy with some surprise, but the
next moment it dawned on her that he was doing this to spare Karen any
worry. If something happened to Gloria, it
would only leave Karen in a state of sadness and her health conditions would worsen.
Otherwise, Jordy would not care if she was out tonight.
He never bothered to say a word to her before.
Gloria thought for a moment and said, “Mr. Collins, please, for Karen‘s sake, get me a new cell phone an
Jordy slowly raised his eyes to her with a frown.
