He Keeps Showing up
Gloria shook her head, “I won’t be with him.”
Jonathan is messing with me, and Jordy ruffles my feathers a bit too often.
Dating him can only get him into trouble. "He's like brother to me,” Gloria added in a slow voice. She
said something similar to Bryson that day and that broke his heart.
Nydia parted her lips and felt like speaking but stopped since she wasn't in a position to remark. Both
Gloria and Jennifer were her besties. Both of them had some kind of entanglement with Bryson…
It was difficult for her to get in the middle of something so complicated, and she didn't know who she
should encourage Jennifer drew a deep breath, "If he can pass the crisis and pull through, I'll confess
my love to him, though he'll definitely dismiss me."
Nydia pursed her lips and kept silent. Facing her two besties, she felt Bryson and Gloria were the
perfect match from her inner heart. Maybe preconceived ideas kept a stronghold. Gloria nodded,
"Okay."
Silence fell again. Jennifer wiped her tears without any intention to say more. Gloria's phone vibrated
suddenly and she picked it up. Jonathan, "Blow me off?"
Gloria, "Did you go to my house?"
Jonathan, "I'm downstairs in the hospital."
Gloria was speechless. Jonathan is keeping showing his face to me. Her phone rang and Gloria hung
up the phone hurriedly. She sent a message. Gloria, "I'm not available now, Mr. Brown, and I don't get
much spare time these days. Could we talk about business later?”
Jonathan, "Gloria, are you sure you won't come down? I'll go up in a minute."
Gloria was at a loss. She took a deep breath, looked at Jennifer and Nydia, and said in resignation,
"Excuse me for a minute. I'll come back soon."
Jennifer and Nydia nodded without any objections. Then Gloria headed out of the door. Only they were
left in the room. Nydia gazed at Jennifer confusedly, "Jennifer, when did you fall for Bryson?"
Jennifer's expression froze, and the next moment she smiled awkwardly, "That might be a funny joke to
you. I've liked him for ten years." Nydia's eyes widened immediately and she couldn't refrain from
exclaiming, "Ten years!"
Jennifer forced a smile and said with self-deprecating humor, "I'm rather good at hiding, aren't I?"
Nydia opened her mouth but no sound came out. Pausing for moments, she shook her head and drew
a deep breath, "You keep it so well that I did not tell it at all."
Jennifer turned down the corners of her mouth and didn't speak. Nydia sighed and said, "Gloria is right.
Since you like him, you should confess your feelings to him. Anyway, you should strive for your own
happiness. Gloria has no feelings for Bryson, so they can't be together happily even though you're
willing to give up Bryson."
Nydia had worked this out, so she wouldn't try to persuade Gloria or Bryson anymore. Jennifer's
eyelashes trembled and she didn't say anything. Silence fell again. Gloria went downstairs and saw the
tall man standing at the hospital entrance. He seemed to sense Gloria's gaze, turned his head, and
looked at her peaceful face with his lips curving into a smile.
"Gloria." His gentle voice was like a breeze that blew.
