request? Or, you are well prepared and have something to give me in return?”
Claude was a bit surprised by her reply. This damned girl was clever, although what she said might
sound harsh!
Knowing that he could not get what he came for without paying the price, Claude took a deep breath
and said, “Smart gir! you are, Gloria. It won’t be a waste of your time. I would return your favor
eventually. Anyway… I feel sorry for letting you help me without getting anything for yourself.”
Gloria did not even bat an eye. She obviously did not believe Claude.
