Is She Worthy?
“So… Everyone just took it lightly and allowed her to do whatever she could, but I did not expect Gloria
to be so good at it. She has done the job perfectly.”
Despite the fact that she felt reluctant to admit it, she did not think concealing would do her any good
for now.
Besides, it wasn‘t a secret. Jordy would know about it sooner or later.
Still, Jordy did not speak.
Angela said again in a pang of panic, “It was supposed to be a project impossible serving to dampen
Gloria‘s spirits as, according to the contract, it had to be fully financed by the Browns. With such a large
investment, there was no way the Browns would agree, but to my surprise…”
At this point, she didn‘t know what to say.
She did it on purpose. She said everything she had to say.
Jordy would be the one to decide whether he agreed to her proposal and change out Gloria with some
veteran.
Jordy squinted his eyes slightly and turned to look at Angela, asking, “So, you want me to take over the
project and replace Gloria with someone with experience.”
Angela turned pink on her face. She suddenly found it hard for herself to volunteer for the project.
After all, she and Gloria were both young and inexperienced.
Although everyone thought that she had more experience and higher status than Gloria in the
company, but… she has just joined the company not long ago.
People would not truly listen to her if not for the fact that her father was running the company right now.
It fell silent in the car.
Angela wished to say something but stopped on a second thought
In fact, the project was perfect.
Even if she didn’t want to admit it, she had to say that Gloria‘s plan was flawless. And it made her
jealous from the bottom of her heart.
For a moment, time seemed to stop.
In the van, Jonathan smiled at Gloria and asked, “Do you think Jordy will take over this project?”
Because they both got into the van from the corner, Jonathan Brown didn‘t take the driver‘s seat. They
sat side by side in the back seats.
Gloria pursed her lips and answered, “Who knows.”
She looked calm and even aloof somehow.
Jonathan smiled and continued, “I bet Jordy would take it over and put you in charge. Do you believe
that?”
Gloria chuckled and said, “Hopefully! If that being the case, then our cooperation would be a done
deal.”
Jordy spoke up at the moment, “It‘s a good plan, a huge investment. I can afford it too.”
Angela‘s eyes lit up all at once. She looked at Jordy and asked, “Jordy, do you really want to?”
She waited eagerly for Jordy‘s answer, but what he said next came as a bombard to her.
“The person in charge of the project has to be Gloria White.”
Angela looked at him in astonishment. “What…”
What did he just say?
Did she hear him wrong?
Jordy put the documents aside gracefully. Apparently, he was not going to give it back to Angela.
“Tomorrow I‘ll send Harold to see your father.”
Angela‘s eyes widened as she shook her head in disbelief and asked, “Jordy, Are you… Are you trying
to get back at Gloria? If something does happen to her, her reputation would be ruined for good…”
Jordy laughed, “Why would I waste billions of dollars just to get back at a ruthless woman?”
‘Is she worthy?‘ Jordy left it unsaid, but Gloria knew what he had to say.
Jonathan simply turned off his phone with one touch on the screen. The conversation in another car
was completely shut out.
He turned his eyes slowly to Gloria.
