A Thousand Times of Crack-downs
Looking at Jordy’s aloof face, he continued, “So you must tell me exactly what happened at that time.”
“There is nothing to say.” Jordy laid down his glass. It seemed that he was completely done with his
drinking and lost his appetite for it.
He didn’t want to tell anyone what happened that day. It was not because he didn’t want to let others
know about how Gloria had humiliated him, but that he didn’t want others to know about their past.
George sank into silence.
He couldn’t believe he still could not fish the secret out of Jordy after all this harangue. He was so
uncomfortable that he failed. Suddenly, he snapped, “Alright, damn it! I shouldn’t worry about you. I
have things to deal with myself.”
Jordy gave him an indifferent look. George had already tried his best. And it was futile to continue his
try.
The two men began to drink in silence.
Until the last glass was empty, George started again, “I will let this woman learn a lesson sooner or
later!”
“Be careful not to make it backfire.” After saying this, Jordy got up and added, “It’s quite late. Let’s go
back.”
They had both drunk a lot, but none of them felt drunk. They were both quite sober.
George didn’t say anything, and the two of them walked back to their rooms together.
Both of their suites were constructed according to the same layout. After the two men entered their
rooms, they found the living rooms empty, lit by the gorgeous light. Both of them spontaneously looked
at the smaller bedrooms and found the doors shut. There was no sound coming from the bedrooms.
So, they reckoned the women must have gone to bed.
Neither Jordy nor George said anything more. They went directly into their bedrooms, took a bath and
then lay down.
But…
Both of them were quite sober. Probably because of alcohol, it seemed that slumber had slid away from
both of them.
They were both thinking of their beloved.
Soon it was the next day.
Gloria got up early, and Harold brought her breakfast to her.
She had already dressed up. Seeing that Jordy also came out of the bedroom, she opened the
breakfast boxes one by one.
Jordy and Gloria were both in their pajamas. Then they sat opposite each other at the table.
Gloria ate silently and did not intend to talk to Jordy.
And Jordy only ate a little. He seemed to have lost his appetite.
Gloria glanced at him and concentrated on her own meal. She always had a good appetite and never
treated her meals casually, unless she was in a bad mood.
During her three-year marriage, she had really cracked down many times.
After breakfast, Gloria went back to her bedroom to tidy it and left the bedroom after she got changed.
Jordy was no longer there in the suite.
Just as she opened the door and went downstairs, her cellphone rang.
“Miss White, are you ready? We can go now.”
“Sure, I’m going downstairs.”
“All right.”
After hanging up the phone, Gloria walked out and saw Jordy’s car. She walked over and decided to sit
in the front seat as she did. She didn’t want to have too much contact with that man in the back seat.
But… when she discovered the front seat was already taken by a middle-aged fat man, Gloria was
quite surprised. In the end, she had no choice but to sit in the back beside Jordy.
Harold immediately introduced the man to Glori, “Miss White, this is the person in charge of the Nossel
Scenic Area, Mr. Caleb Saunders.”
Caleb immediately looked at Gloria politely and smiled courteously at her, “Hello, Miss White.”
Gloria nodded and smiled, “Hello, Mr. Saunders.”
She was quite gentle to him, and she looked elegant and calm. Jordy suddenly glanced at her.
