We Need Her Good Name Most
The Tamah Group.
Rachel was at work, and there was a knock on her office door.
“Miss Roberts.”
Rachel came back to her senses and lifted her eyes towards the door.
“Come in.”
Soon, a secretary in office attire pushed the door open and entered with a document in her hand.
“Here is the document you asked for. You have a meeting with the design department in fifteen
minutes.”
“I see.”
Without receiving further orders, the secretary went out.
Rachel rubbed her eyes and glanced at the document her secretary brought over.
Recently, Rachel had heard about some changes within the White Group. Gloria was going to run the
company.
What will the company be like under her management?
Will its business flourish to the point where people find it daunting? Or will it plunge to the extent where
Jordy doesn’t like her anymore and she’s reduced to nobody?
Rachel pursed her lips. Neither of these assumptions seems likely.
But the White Group really won’t decay in her hands?
Rachel rubbed her eyes again, pulled out her phone, and opened the phone book.
She only had one number in it.
The Jordy’s.
It was not that she couldn’t memorize the number, but she wanted Jordy to be the only man for her.
After a moment’s hesitation, Rachel hit the dial.
After the dial tone hummed for several seconds, the call was connected. Rachel tensed because she
did not expect Jordy to pick up the phone so soon.
Before she felt surprised, a male voice reached her ears.
“Hello, Miss Roberts, this is Harold speaking. Mr. Collins is in a meeting. How can I help you?”
Rachel and Jordy had a lot to work with. Harold thought Rachel called Jordy for some business issue.
“… How much longer till the meeting ends?” It didn’t occur to Rachel that Harold would answer the
phone. Her nervousness seemed to vanish.
“The meeting has just begun. It will take at least an hour.”
Rachel sighed with relief as her tension subsided. She called Jordy just to hear his voice. If he knew
that, would he think there was something wrong with her?
Fortunately, it was not Jordy who answered the phone… At least she was not boring him.
But at the same time, Rachel was a little upset for Jordy did not answer the phone. She hadn’t heard
anything from him in days.
Rachel thought she would have a lot of contact with Jordy after the company moved its office here. But
unexpectedly, she saw Jordy less often than she had done before.
Finally, Rachel said to Harold, “Okay, I see. I’ll call him later.”
“All right.”
Rachel hung up.
Rachel kept staring at her phone. She had put him in her phone as Jordy.
It seemed to be in his nature to be so cold. Rachel wanted to stay away from him, but meanwhile, she
couldn’t help getting close to him. She had such contradictory feelings about him.
Rachel was so bent on Jordy, but the woman he cared about most was Gloria.
Gloria.
Gloria.
Rachel took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and leaned back in her chair as if to rest herself.
Eight minutes later, Rachel got up and headed for the conference room.
Everyone was already there. Rachel glanced at them and said calmly, “Let’s get started.”
The head of the design department looked at Rachel respectfully and said, “We already have a
preliminary plan for this jewelry and costume design, but… what we need most now is a top designer’s
good name.”
