My Future Daughter–in–Law
Kristina watched Gloria leave without saying another word.
Gloria reached home without any obstructions.
The following day, she went to work as usual and handed in the contract. Sheila marveled, “Oh my
God! You sealed the deal with Kristina?”
She was shocked to no end.
It was not that Sheila was oversensitive.
But the cases Gloria had got were missions impossible for everyone in the office, Sheila and the
department manager included.
In a matter of days, Gloria had accomplished four of them without much effort.
Everyone in the office was dumbfounded. Their eyes were filled with astonishment. They couldn‘t
believe their ears.
It was the undeniable truth.
They were flabbergasted.
“No way! Gloria nailed it? Kristina is notoriously difficult to deal with!”
“Geeze, Gloria, you‘re amazing!”
Even those who rarely talked to Gloria looked at her in disbelief.
People had doubted her success in Hunter‘s case. This time was different. Kristina was a normal
woman with a husband and a son. There was no way Gloria could seduce her.
How did Gloria do it?
Everyone found it hard to believe.
Gloria replied with a smile, “It was a stroke of luck.”
As cool as a cucumber, she didn‘t share the details with them, but everyone in the office saw her in a
new light.
In such a short period, she sealed four deals. It was just incredible.
As for Jonathan‘s case, it didn‘t mean she was incompetent. The company doubted it, which was not
Gloria‘s fault.
Sheila cooled down, shook her head, and exclaimed, “Gloria, that was awesome! In this department,
you‘re the most capable person I‘ve ever seen.”
With a humble smile, Gloria said, “I‘m flattered.”
If it were not the working hours, they would have gathered around and begged her to teach them.
It was just that…
Gloria‘s experience could not be learned by everyone. She was able to modify proposals and do the
design on her own. She just had too many proposals and programs on her plate, otherwise she would
have taken charge of the entire process.
Martha came to visit the Collins at their house.
Full of smiles, Olivia took Martha‘s hand in hers and said in a kind voice, “Martha, welcome to our
house. I thought you were blaming me for what happened last time. I was careless. I hope Angela will
forgive me.”
Martha responded with a smile, “Olivia, it was not your fault. It was a trap that had nothing to do with
you. Angela has no reason to blame you. Far from it, she is grateful to you for being supportive of her
relationship with Jordy.”
Olivia said, “Of course, I‘m supportive! Angela is my future daughter–in–law!”
Martha fidgeted and sighed. There seemed to be something on her mind.
Puzzled, Olivia asked, “What‘s wrong?”
