George continued, “I was very curious about the gift, and it wasn’t sealed. I wanted to open it and see
what it was, he didn’t allow me to touch it at all.”
Then George told Gloria how he tried his best to get his hands on the gift but failed in the end.
But the irony in Gloria’s eyes was getting stronger.
How could he let George touch it? He wanted to show her the perfect shoes, so that she could know
how unworthy she was of such a perfect thing. Otherwise, she might think she was worthy of such
things even if they had a flaw.
In an instant, Gloria was in a greater fret.
“Gloria, I…” George wanted to say something else, but Gloria frowned and said in a cold voice,
“Enough.”
George was speechless.
Shoot, he said the wrong thing again.
Just now she was quite calm, and would respond occasionally.
George felt helpless. He could only tell Jordy that he had done his best to help them. Whether they
could be together depended on their fate.
It was quiet in the car again, and George stopped talking. He sent a message to Nydia on the way.
Although Nydia did not believe it, she couldn’t just ignore it. When George arrived at Gloria’s home with
her, Nydia was waiting for Gloria at the door.
She walked back and forth at the door with her purse in both hands, and she looked anxious.
The Rolls Royce came over and Gloria was in the co–driver’s seat. Seeing this, Nydia immediately
walked up to it, and then Gloria got out of the car. Nydia looked at her with a worried look, “Gloria, are
you okay?”
George was here. She didn’t ask what had happened.
Gloria smiled at her, indicating that she was OK.
Then Gloria looked at George, and Nydia also looked at him.
George didn’t get out of the car. He knew he would be the third wheel here, so he rolled down the
window and said.
calmly, “Nydia, stay here with her tonight. I’m leaving. Bye.”
He knew that the two women didn’t want to see him. After that, he closed the window and drove away.
Nydia then looked at Gloria, took her hand, and said in a soft voice, “What’s the matter? What
happened?”
Gloria’s eyes turned slightly. She should have stopped George from contacting Nydia. When he was on
his mobile phone, she thought that he was looking for Jordy or someone else to talk to.
He told grandma that he would take her to Nydia, and she thought it was George’s excuse to put
grandma at ease.
She should have stopped him. Then Nydia wouldn’t have to worry about her.
Gloria whispered, “I’m fine. What did George tell you?”
Nydia frowned. She was afraid that Gloria would lie to her according to her answer, so she said, “Tell
me what happened.”
Gloria did not want to hide it from Nydia. She took her into the villa and told her all the things that had
happened.
Nydia turned angry instantly!
“What a jerk! Jordy actually did that?”
Gloria curled her lip and said nothing.
They sat on the sofa. Nydia said, gnashing her teeth, “Screw him! He‘s so disgusting! What a jerk! Men
are all douchebags!”
