He Did So Many Things for Him
Declan‘s eyelashes fluttered slightly, and he said with a smile, “Gloria is a very good child. I know there
are many misunderstandings between you, but I hope you can take your time to know her. She is really
a good girl.”
Jordy looked at him coldly, “Is this what you wanted to see me for?”
Declan sighed and sent a recording to him, “This is my recording. After I die, you‘ll be the only closest
person to Gloria in the world. I hope… you can keep it. Don‘t give her the recording if it‘s not necessary,
unless something really happens.”
Jordy frowned and his eyes seemed to be filled with impatience.
Declan continued, “You have those wrong ideas about her just because of me. She‘s innocent. Jordy,
please, please keep the recording and do me this favor, okay?”
Jordy stared at him coldly and found the begging look in Declan‘s eyes was real.
Declan took a deep breath, “I hope you can listen to this recording when you have time. It won‘t take
you long. Just two minutes. You‘ll decide what to do, OK?”

After Gloria and Jordy got married, Jordy never called Declan “Dad“.
In his opinion, Declan was not worthy of being his father–in–law and Gloria was not worthy to be his
wife.
They got married because of interests. They were just forced by their families.

But this time, Jordy seemed to be moved with compassion. He said in a flat tone, “This won‘t happen
again.”
Declan suddenly breathed a sigh of relief and looked at him gratefully, “Thank you, thank you so much.”
Good things happened to good people. Jordy did this for him. He knew that he was actually a kind
child.

Gloria lowered her head and tightly pursed her lips.
Jordy said calmly, “I‘ve only listened to this recording recently. I guessed it was time to show it to you.”
Gloria didn‘t want to look at Jordy, so she turned her head. She didn‘t hate him anymore.
He was so arrogant. Playing the record in front of her, no, agreeing to keep her father‘s recording was
already a huge favor he could do to her.
He gave the recording to her, so she should say thank you to him.
After a pause, Gloria said slowly, “Thank you.”
Jordy’s eyes darkened slightly. The last thing he wanted to hear was her thanks.
Gloria sat on the sofa and remained motionless. Jordy looked at her calmly and said in a flat tone, “It‘s
getting late. Have a good rest.”
Gloria didn‘t speak. She was waiting for him to leave. After he left, she could leave.
But…
She sat in silence for half an hour. Jordy was still here.
She raised her eyes slightly at him, “Are you going to spend the night here?”
Jordy fixed his deep eyes on her face. He didn‘t answer.
Gloria pursed her lips. This was his place. He could stay or leave as he liked.
She just didn‘t understand why Jordy did so “many things” for her.
Gloria stopped thinking about it.
She got up slowly and said with a calm face, “I‘m leaving. Have an early rest.”
