her.”
Gloria said calmly, “After finishing this project, White Group will step up to a new level and Roberts
Group will benefit a lot from it. So, she won’t do anything to me during the cooperation.”
In fact, she was suspicious of Rachel’s real intentions before she came here to meet Rachel. But on
second thoughts, she believed Rachel would not take action tonight. Besides, Rachel was so clever
and she wouldn’t allow herself to become Angela’s cat’s paw. She would only watch them fight and get
bloody and then steal the victory. It was a perfect plan, wasn’t it? So, of course, she wouldn’t be used
by Angela.
“She has been in contact with Angela. Even if she won’t lay a finger on you, are you sure Angela won’t

brake and parked the car on the roadside.
It was an empty and spacious road. Only Jordy’s car was there.

Jordy let out a snort of laughter and looked coldly at her. “How? Angela knew you were meeting Rachel
tonight. If I hadn’t come, Angela might have harmed you!”
“I’m prepared for it.” Gloria appeared rather calm. “I was fully prepared before I went to meet Rachel.
Of course, I won’t allow anyone to treat me like dead meat.”
She vaguely felt there was something wrong with Jordy’s emotions. In his eyes, she was brainless and
so impulsive to meet Rachel without any preparations. She could understand why Jordy was angry, but
she somehow felt Jordy had some other emotions. She couldn’t tell them, but she was sure about one
thing, that was, he was weird today. She hoped she was overthinking it.
The only reason he was worried about her was that she was an important doctor to him.
She blinked and suppressed her emotions. Looking at Jordy’s sullen face, she said calmly, “Go on
driving.”
“You still wanna work with Rachel?”
“No.”
She knew he would make things difficult for her even if she agreed to. Also, before Karen recovered,
she should live in peace.
Today, she came over with another purpose, which was, to see what Angela planned to do. But Jordy’s
arrival made Angela’s men quit the idea of carrying out the plan.
Just now, she had walked around with Rachel for a while, and very soon some “accidents” might
happen, but Jordy’s timely appearance ruined the plan.
She failed to find Angela’s flaw line this time.
