Chapter 1180Chapter 1180 Another Chance
Seeing his four identical cards and a side card, Sloan and the others felt a bit more at ease.
They couldn't believe that Samuel could get a four-of-a-kind on the first deal.
He was lucky indeed.
“Four of a kind. Not bad at all.” Ashlyn nodded.
Thinking she had bad cards, Sloan couldn't help but smirk, a glint of provocation and triumph in his
eyes. “It's your turn to reveal your cards.”
Ashlyn blinked, a hint of amusement flashing in her beautiful eyes.
“Indeed, it's my turn to show my cards,” she said nonchalantly.
Almost everyone was anxiously eyeing the poker cards in her hand.
Spencer, especially, was a bit worried and somewhat nervous.
He was afraid that she'd lose, and the new energy project would have to be given away.
“So... what are your cards?” Sloan asked, feigning a light cough.
“It's nothing. See for yourself.” Ashlyn glanced at everyone, then revealed her cards.
The moment she revealed her cards, gently flipping them over, everyone's eyes widened in surprise.
Sloan's face stiffened, and his heart sank.
“How can this be? You actually...”“I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I have a straight flush.”
Ashlyn's eyes sparkled, so enchanting that one couldn't help but lose themselves in them.
Samuel's face contorted as well.
This woman's luck is just too good to be true. A straight flush in the first round? I only have a four-of-a-
kind. No! I am the King of Gambling, who has never been defeated. This is just the first round. There
are two more rounds to go. I don't believe that this woman will continue to be this lucky.
Herald furrowed his brows. He hadn't expected Ashlyn to be so lucky.
After some thought, he announced, “Let's begin the second round.”
With that, he began dealing the cards again.
The cards were swiftly dealt to Ashlyn and Samuel.
“Show your cards first this time,” Samuel said to Ashlyn. “I went first last time. Now it's your turn.”
Ashlyn gave him a casual smile. Ever since Herald had dealt the cards, she hadn't even touched those
few cards. “Are you sure?”

bad feeling about it.
No way... She can't be that lucky. She didn't even look at her own cards, so...
“Yes. Let's start with you.”
Samuel gritted his teeth.“If you say so.” Ashlyn nodded, then swiftly revealed her cards. “Apologies... It's a straight flush again.”
Samuel grimaced and abruptly stood up from his seat. “How is this possible? How did you—”
“These cards were dealt by Mr. Cook, and he shuffled them. Surely, Mr. Cook wouldn't intentionally
deal you bad cards, would he?” A hint of mischief flashed in Ashlyn's eyes. “So, King of Gambling, are
you willing to admit defeat?”
Ashlyn won two rounds straight away in a game of best two out of three.
Samuel's face turned ashen. Pointing at Ashlyn, he was so shocked that he couldn't utter a single
word.
Herald's face also darkened. He never imagined that Ashlyn would actually be this lucky.
Ashlyn sneered, “What's the matter? Can't accept it?”
Her red lips curled into a smirk, and a sharp glint flickered in her dark eyes. “How about... I give you
another chance?”
“What do you mean?” Sloan pointed at her angrily. “You must have cheated.”
“I cheated? I didn't touch the cards at all. Mr. Cook dealt with and shuffled all of them. How can you
blame me?” Ashlyn wore an innocent expression.
Herald's face stiffened as he patted Sloan. He then took a step forward, looking at Ashlyn. “You said
you would give another chance. What do you want to bet?”
